IW should make there next game on a console since they hate PCs so much, see how that works out for them. 9v9 on a P2P, that sounds like a big ole barrel of fail. Question to all who pre ordered and canceled, do youl ose the money you put in or do you get it back? Cause im thinking about just saying eff it and getting borderlands till a) the price goes down and b)they get there heads out there asses and patch in dedicated servers.

3)Ah yes, the "You couldn't do better" argument, like I haven't heard this before. Yes yes, I couldn't do better, but I don't make games for a living. IW does, and should be able to tell from this massive uproar what people want.

1) Please tone down on the "Go make a game yourself if you think you can do better" argument. It's a flawed argument that barely even applies in this case. That's like saying "if you don't like you house, then go build your own". You've effectively told the vast majority of the consumer base to STFU and deal with a sub-par product. I know I can't do better, and I know that the majority of people complaining can't do better, but that's not the point. The point is that we know IW CAN DO BETTER! How do we know? Because they did do better with MW's multiplayer system! They've proven to all of us that they are clearly making something that has inferior multiplayer component compared to what they've made before. Why are we at fault for expecting IW to give us products that are at least on par with their previous titles in terms of quality and features? And why are we at fault for letting IW know that they've failed to meet our expectations?

ahh, yes, the old "I dont have to make games because thats not what I do for a living" argument, the only reason you dont is because your too lazy to do so. there is no exceptions.


also, I lol at all of the MW2 sucks people, simply because they seem to 'know' the game is going to be bad simply from what is said, and have not actually tried it.

I love how much people are saying that they are not going to buy the game, yet continue to bash the game developers decisions for the game, this in point; I will lol at all of them when the game is released and the multiplayer is actually good.

also, I have talked to some of my more 'hardcore' CoD friends, and they are still buying it in spite of the fact of what IW has put into the game, they also use the same reasoning as me, "One less squeaker".

Because we're lazy? Are you fucking kidding? So you go ahead and make a game then. Any game, even a flash game. I mean, if it's so easy, that should be no problem, right? We're waiting...

I'll address this second point, but are you getting the game for the PC (and therefore won't be able to find a lag free match), the 360 (and therefore can't use Party Chat), or the PS3 (and therefore won't have every gametype)? Knowing which will make it easier to argue.

You know what? I would have gotten it for the 360, and I have no doubt, even though I'm not getting it, that the Multiplayer will be phenomenal. That said, I'm not getting it, because IW is taking out something that makes up the core of my enjoyment for XBL in general, and that's a price I'm not willing to pay, even if the multiplayer is amazing.

Tell me, why are they hardcore? No lives, no friends (which makes sense actually, that would explain why, assuming you and they are getting the 360 version, that they don't care about party chat), delusions of grandeur...?

Sorry, but the whole "Hardcore" label really, really annoys me.

Eactly, I work my ass off to get the things i want, for people that get everything from mommy they have no other recourse than to take it up the pooper and go aboout there day. But when you actually take the money out of your pocket and give it to someone you expect a quality product in exchange for said money. These douches are going backwards instead of forward by taking out things that shouldnt even be tought of when youre thinking about changing something.

Ooo! the game looks spiffy! It's so awesome! These kids think there little dingaling grows a few inches by buying the game cause everyone else likes it. I don't see DICE excluding all these features from their shooters; why should I accept it from IW? I am complaining to IW because I want to support IW, and I want them to have my money instead of DICE. But having said that, I still have my standards, and IW gives me no choice but to give my money to DICE because they failed to meet my expectations while DICE has.

One reason I KNOW it will be bad is because the game has 9 vs 9 for EVERY multiplayer mode. THAT IS BAD! That is not acceptable multiplayer experience for the biggest game release of 2009. Hell, it's not acceptable for ANY 2009 FPS. 9 vs 9 is pathetic for PC FPS standards. This is the platform with the best online capabilities! This is the platform that run FPS with hundred of players at a time! The best IW can do is a feeble 18 players? Even most console FPS can top that.

That's just pathetic! I am sure the single player campaign is going to be great, but if it's as short as the last game how can they think it justifies $60!? I am so glad I've picked up DA:O and L4D2 with the money I was going to spend on this game (<3 steam). Now I'll get my epic single player, and have a slapstick, horrifying adventure with L4D2.

9v9 - it's sad that IW took away the dedicated servers in order to make people have to buy their DLC for any new maps/mods, but even worse that 9v9 was their solution to enormous amounts of lag the IWnet 'solution' generates.

9v9 wow there have been PS2 games with 32 players (It used real servers maintained by the developer rather than P2P.) 9v9 for a game like this is pretty weak for 2009 on the PC when it is somewhat routine to see 32 player multiplayer on consoles.

Your list of choices is just worthless. Why? Because you have no clue whatsoever of what you are talking about.

We who are used to greatness will not settle for half-ish games. Most of us LOVED the CoD series. But now we got the finger and a big "FUCK YOU" from IW and Activision. They betrayed us. They are working against us in so many ways. They release a console game on PC. 9vs9? No mods? No proper servers? They pretty much took at least 4 years of game out of it. Then they expect us to pay MORE money?

We won't buy it. We have already stated that. But a lot of idiots will. What will that tell Activision and other companies? It's ok to release one forth of a game and charge more for it. So what will everyone else do from then on? Release 1/4 of games, charge more and drain your wallet silly with DLC. They are lowering the quality of their releases tremendously because some people will still throw cash at them like the little dogs they are.

Frankly, I'm saddened by Infinity Wards decisions to gimp the PC version because of "piracy" (i.e. we're not worth the money it'd take to make a good version to them).

The hell? So to prevent more piracy they are going to reduce the multiplayer experience?
One of the only reasons a person would by a game rather than pirate it?
At this point I am presuming several managerial positions have been filled with burdens of the state...

I know this sounds bad, but I really think that people in it for the Single Player especially should torrent this game. It is punishing Infinity Ward for what is Activision's decisions, but seriously, just go onto pirate bay or something and tell them that you're not prepared to pay for their bullshit.

Knowing IW they would probably plant the torrents online so they could track em to find out who was stealing their precious game just to be able to sue the shit out of every person that tried to torrent the game. I think IW was taken over by console frat boys and they are doing everything in their power to screw us PC gamers over.
