take poll dancing lessons.
Was that a forum-based pun or just a misspelling :| ?

(Poll is a thing where people can pick an answer from several option, pole is the thing you dance around usually)

Build scale working replicas of historical weaponry, such as catapults. Then use them to shoot rocks at a tiny scale castle you built from across a field. Video the result and post it on youtube.

Masturbate furiously.

If you already do that, go for walks. Seriously, that's how I waste time.

And if you're not a walking type-person, pick a show that you heard a lot about, and watch it from beginning to end. A good, short one to watch is Firefly. It only lasted one season, sadly, but it is a damn good series.

Hope you find something, dude. I would know from personal experience that it is tough to find something worth while to invest your time into these days.

Table Top gaming like DnD or Warhammer. They are great fun though cost a bit. Still its a cool idea.

Bicycling, swimming, cross country skiing, video games, anime, manga, novels, and goofing off with friends are some of my favorites.

A hobby? Are you kidding me? your life is "boring and meaningless" and you're looking for a hobby?!? Either your subject line is a typo, or you need to change everything.

Try pen&paper roleplaying games. I got a small group of friends in my apartment each Tuesday night, and we play a wide variety of games from all kinds of genres. Aside from the books you need if you want to be the game master for a particular game it's also very easy on your wallet as well - all you need is a pen, a few sheets of paper and a small selection of dice.

OT: something nerdy like warhammer is great for stealing all your time and money.
No problem, the site I use isVoice Acting Alliance, [http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/forum.php] but there are a lot of voice acting communities out there. All you do is explore the forums, look over people's projects, and take your pick. The forums are split into categories like visual productions (animations, fandubs, games, etc.) and audio productions (radio plays, promotionals, etc) and for each of the projects the user will list what they want. Typically with specific characters, they'll give you the type of voice they have in mind and a few lines to read. Other times if what they need is a bit unusual, they'll ask for something like a generic sample of your voice, like you reading a line from a book or something. Many will also give you references to other voices or characters to illustrate what they want. And they'll always tell you how they want them submitted (MP3s, WAVs, all individual sound files or one big file, etc).

Good luck~ PM me if you need to know any more :3

Lately i have been volunteering to waste time while trying to find a job. Otherwise theres this paintball place thats renovating its area into a shantyish town. To simulate an urban enviroment. Building is kinda fun. If all else fails you can make some thinking molotovs.

Might I suggest a game that I myself just picked up?

Heroclix.

It's a tabletop game wherein you and your opponent assemble miniature teams of comic (and the odd video game) characters for the express purpose of "let's you and him fight".

BAD NEWS UP FRONT: There's a somewhat daunting infodump to digest before you even decide who goes first. This is not helped by the fact that several of the abilities, like "invulnerable" and "impenetrable" sound very similar. And none of the character cards tell you what these abilities actually do. Even though the game is largely DC/Marvel comics, I recommend getting the Street Fighter startup thingy because it has both a rulebook and a handy reference card for various abilities. (But then you'll still have to provide your own dice.)

OKAY GOOD NEWS: Once you do assimilate the required reading, the game itself is very fun, and you needn't be a huge comic nerd to play, even though it certainly helps. I won my first game after my opponent took out my Punisher, who had come down from "grassy knoll" duty to start scrappin' man to man, by having Clark Kent change into Superman, fly over and knock the other guy out in one hit. That's right, I had Clark Kent on my team, and he was MVP. Not Superman. Fuckin' Smallville.

This is gonna be fun.

I am open to your suggestions, even the more bizarre ones I'm sure I'll receive.

My current hobbies consist primarily of playing the drums and music, and I'm looking to branch out. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Hand-load ammunition. Shoot firearms. Read books. These are the three greatest hobbies in existence.

In the books department, may I suggest "Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss, first book in the Kingkiller chronicle.

If your looking to give your life meaning taking on a new hobby is not going to do that for you. What you need to do is find something that you don't just like but are passionate about and pursue that.
