N. Korea Threatens USA

It is gonna be hard to try and take out North Korea, if you try to take them out, they could fire the Nukes, if you put them in a difficult position, they could fire the Nukes, dont take North Korea lightly, as long as they have Nukes, they are a major threat.

They have nukes, but they aren't very powerful and can't fit them to missiles. The best they could do would be to try smuggling one in on a ship and lighting it off. Not real likely.

Because they're bluffing. A fledgling nuke program couldn't take out South Korea, much less the entire united states. They can launch regular ballistic missiles our way, but they'd never hit.

They threatened to wipe the US off the globe, saying stuff like that gets you invaded, no one makes a bluff like that unless they have a plan and remember the Cuban Missile Crisis??? Missiles can be put in range. It is time for the US to call North Korea's bluff.

Big difference, the Russians had money back then. North Korea does not. I know it seems odd to you, but North Korea bluffs -all- the time.

Thank you ChosenLord for pointing out what I do every time this stuff crops up, why shouldn't North Korea be allowed to be armed just like your nation is? Loremazd and his arguement of 'but they threaten to use them' is redundant, you don't have nukes so you can stockpile them and pull the ladies, you have them so you can threaten to use them. No one ever wants to use nukes, it destroys valuable stuff that you could capture with expendable infantry.

This isn't America vs Vietnam... this would be America, UK,Russia, China, Japan, and South Korea vs. North Korea.

I have no idea why you think an oppressive dictator based country that has diplomatically shown nothing but the desire to invade South Korea should be allowed to develop and perfect a weapon of mass destruction that would be used as a bartering chip to get money. Bacause it's "fair"? This isn't America flaunting it's power at them... Russia, China, Japan, South Korean, and the entire UN are completely against this. NO ONE wants this.

Well, if they attack, they probably wouldn't get any support. I'm pretty sure that China hates us, but really doesn't want open war, because then it would most likely turn nuclear and would be bad. But they did assist North Korea against the U.S. and it's allies in the Korean War so who knows.

It would be a dumb descision if they do attack the U.S.

China does things out of its own country's or people's interests. They aided North Korea because as the UN forces were driving the North Koreans back to the Chinese border North Korean civilians were fleeing into China, the Chinese did not want the North Koreans so they aided them to get the civilians back into their home country and out of their own.

In the modern world however China has many, many, MANY business deals with the United States that basically support their economy. So if North Korea does decide to attack us China would support and in fact even invade with us. Its only business.

What you have always got to remember when you accuse someone of bluffing is that you could be wrong and North Korea may do the unthinkable. I just hope your right because we are coming closer of ridding the world of Nukes, but North Korea stand in the way of that.

Ok then, do you know everything about North Korea plans and tactics, can you confirm that North Korea dont have the ability to Nuke the US??? North Korea is not Iran, they are unpredictable and secretive and I wouldn't put anything past them.

No, it's a matter of FACT. They haven't developed the technology to miniaturize their weapons sufficiently to fit them to a missile, first of all. Second of all, the missiles they do have don't have the range to hit the west coast of the United States. Third, their guidance systems are ancient, so even if they did have the range, they'd be just as likely to hit China as anything else.

Well to be honest, the United States isn't really doing anything but enforcing UN mandates and having troops ready to defend South Korea. Look, I know you has a beef with America, but arguing for North Korea is really, really silly. They've shown time and time again that they're completely bonkers.
