Tasers per se shouldn't be illegal, but maybe the people who use them should be taught not to be such retards, and actually learn how to use them.

Thats why tasers are called "less lethal" instead of safe. Its a shame. The man blatantly had mental health problems.

If you hired cops with some social skills instead of nuckle draggers they might have talked him down instead of itching to use their toys.

Well with a Taser, you may or may not die, but in the vast majority of cases, you won't die. When an officer uses a Taser, it is usually his last option before his gun, take away the Taser and then the officer must go for his gun, I would rather be tasered then shot.

In this case, the officer could have just tackled him I guess.

Judging from his behavior,he was probably on some serious drugs. The taser shock probably disturbed his already fast beating heart, and made it stop working. case closed.

probably had some bad crack or something...so his heart rate was already racing..

i mean he was bashing his head into the pavement...

better than just straight shooting him..

dunno if anyone has seen the video of this other naked guy..he was high on pcp runnning around naked puching his fist through fences and causing havoc..he didnt feel pain. they ended up tasering him. but like if the taser wasnt legal..then they would have had to shoot him..OR run the risk of getting hurt trying to take him down with just police batons and brute force..

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that he had just got out of a bath/shower, got hit by a tazer and the electricity arced causing cardiac arrest. Only solution I can see as I don't think tazers have enough juice to stop a heart like a defibrillator and if he had a pacemake they would have said?

Pepper spray AND a tazer..? I guess they forgot their stun prods and bean bag shotguns... Tazers themselves aren't a bad thing, they should just be used like a gun, as a last measure, because the person in front of you might have a weak heart.

Cops, i think, are told that tasers should be used to subdue someone quickly and minimize possible harm to the officers and the criminal, this sound like a fluke to me, but I'm no doctor or a cop so i have nothing to back this up with.

He bloody well deserved it. You're running down the middle of the street naked and high? That's fine. But you're taking the risk. You have to be stopped at any cost. You're breaking the law and that's that. They're just doing their job.

Personally, I think that the police should be free to tazer, hurt and otherwise beat law-breakers. Because they deserve it. He should have more liberty when drawing his gun too. Criminals are the worst of any society. And if their escapades may cause serious damage, they must be stopped, even if they have to be killed.

i think its just a case that the guy was probably on something that had his heart racing like crazy..that or he just straight up had a health condition that didnt agree with being tasered

If he had a bad heart the Taser would have killed him, or as other people have pointed out if he were as high a a kite the sudden shock to his already adrenaline filled heart could have made it stop.
