I'd say Life on Mars had a pretty brilliant ending.

The UK one, at any rate. The American remake kinda blew chunks and completely missed the point by trying to tie the ending into the title. Seriously, if you're going to watch it, check out the UK version.

Blake's 7... that was one hell of an ending.
I don't know how any seasons Star Wars: The Clone Wars has to run, but I confidently predict that if they do it right, it'll be the best ending ever.

the ending to The Clone Wars is Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, technically, and look how that turned out.

OT: The West Wing. The last season became focused on Jimmy Smit's character running for President, and it rightly began to shift away from Martin Sheen's president to focus on the next guy down the line, sort of how everyone gets once election season starts up.

The Wire. That show lasted just long enough. Enough loose ends were tied (and by no means were they all happy endings) to give me closure, and the final five minutes of the show had me nearly in tears. Perfect.

Maybe when Dexter ends (Or has it already? We've only got 3 seasons where I live).

Nope, it finished season 5 in December and they're working on season 6. You should really try to find a way to watch seasons 4 and 5, by the way. They're the best ones (especially 4).

Babylon 5, DS9, TNG, BSG, Farscape, Life on Mars UK, Ashes to Ashes, The West Wing, Boston Legal all had wonderful endings IMO.

Angel as well though some people might disagree but it indicated the whole premise of that show "Fight The Good Fight" and you can't win but thats not the point. Scrubs if it ended at season 8 would of been perfect.

I really liked the ending to Battlestar Galactica, a lot of people were upset with the last episode because it didn't tie up every little loose end, but I was really happy with it.

I just started watching that show two seconds ago.

1) Changing the Rules -- bad guys love to move the goalposts, you don't often see good guys doing it so brilliantly or multiplying their power so effectively
2) ASSAULTING HELL ITSELF and kicking it right in the jimmies.
3) Defeating an evil so old, so dark, and so devious man didn't have a name for it
4) Destroying the Hellmouth once and for all, finally eliminating the disease whose symptoms they'd fought for seven years

This! Some shows decay after fighting the biggest bad of whatever story they're in, and just sort of flop around before a slow, painful death. Buffy ended at the perfect point. Any more, and it would have been a let down. Buffy stopped The First, destroyed the Hellmouth, and made sure that there would be such a large amount of power and allies on their side that the entire world wasn't on her shoulders anymore. It ended at the perfect point.

...Everything that I just said is pretty much why I hate the season 8 comics. So much hate for those.

Jericho. I liked that show even thow low ratings got it cancelled after the first season. But then a fan campaign got them to squeeze out 7 more episodes for the second season, and I thought that ended it very nicely.

I can't really name a TV Show, but a manga is as close as I can get.

Elfen Lied. Yes, if you haven't went through it because of the gore, it actually has a good ending. It just has a great, "happy" ending without being an excuse for a good ending. It's just a wonderful ending.

Cowboy bebop could've been longer but the ending was fucking perfect.
The Wire was a greAt end. Terriers despite ending too soon had a great single season arc finale.
Scrubs had a great ending if u ignore the stinking pile of shit that was season 9. Friends and Seinfeld we'd solid sitcom endings.
Serenity was the perfect movie ending for firefly.
