New Gears of War 3 trailer

The last time we saw Dizzy he was fighting Skorge so I wouldn't hold out much hope of hime surviving that encounter considering what happened to Tai.

Dizzy's fate is mentioned in the book 'Jacinto's Remnants'.

Good news: Locust now have allies that team kill.
Bad News: I think they scraped the wretches and took a more arachnid approach. I can tell those things are going to be annoying in horde mode.

that chick(who is apparently Anya) looks nothing like what I thought the females would be in GoW.

It's definitely Anya, and the whole bulky, steroid look is purely aesthetic, in the same way as TF2's over the top look (The Heavy for example). The only one who is described as being abnormally large is Cole, and that's because he was a professional Football (Thrashball) player. Most of the bulk is armour.

Anya goes from radio operator to full blown front line soldier? Doesn't fit logically and seems more like fan service to me.

Another thing mentioned in the books. All COG personnel are trained for fighting, and the only reason there are not many female COG's is because over 75% of humanity was killed and so they need women alive to reproduce.

Seeing as they have now lost Jacinto they need everyone capable of fighting to do so. Oh, and Anya can't have kids.

Judging by that video it looks like all them will die one by one....looks awesome though can't wait for the finale. Hopefully we'll finally get to find out how marcus' father was involved, been waiting since almost the beginning of the first one for an explanation on that!

Nope, he survived and escaped. It was in one of the books. There's a lot more that goes on in the Gears universe than just the games.

Yeah that one does seem like they're making the FPS with what looks to be a silent protagonist out to be some poetic, epic story.
As for the Gears trailer, I doubt it will be like that, but given that the games have progressed with the characters becoming more and more resentful of the war (in the last game alone, Marcus was almost ready to betray his friend's trust just to stop the war quicker, and of course the following scene of Dom and Maria was something more touching than I could have imagined in a game like this) so it may actually fit this time. Still seriously doubt it, but since I know I'm already going to get it at some point, count me on the hype Cole Train! *Insert Appropriate Part of the Awesome Cartoon Here*

This game will be awesome. (More of a message to Epic that if they fuck it up... well I'll fuck them up) The first game is my all time favorite shooter, the second had a good story campaign and they added in some good new elements - horde, mortar etc. - but the multiplayer (matchmaking in particular) was lacking and they ended up having to roll out all their DLC in the space of 8 months to keep people playing, yet now there is another year before the next installment.

I really hope they don't mess this up.

Look, anything that has to do with Gears of War 3 gets me excited. Personally I thought it looked really cool. I dig the chick COG and the new shotgun for sure. But for right now, that trailer barely gives away anything. Let's wait for new info to come out before judging it, shall we?

I am personally hoping they don't do something stupid like 'Seriously 3.0 - Get 1,000,000 kills'. I have managed to get all achievements except Seriously 2.0 and Rank 100. It pisses me off because putting 200 hours+ into grinding is not something a fan should be expected to do in order to show "dedication" as Cliffy B puts it.

I also hope that they try and change the formula a bit, I love the first two games but every battle is the same really.

Seriously 3.0 - Go outside.

I have every achievement except level 100 (and I have been pretty cheated out of that for a few reasons) but that won't be a huge issue for me, though a level 100 achievement (which boosting takes longer than a legit 10th Prestige assuming they use the same level system) when it just takes so long. I would like some achievements that are more challenging though, rather than just time consuming as they have been in both previous games.
