Nintendo have never been known to change their games so you are probably out of luck. Your suggestions would be great except for making the game more mature I can't see that working and Many games have become to mature for their own good(see GTA4.)

I don't know if ramping up the violence should be the next step, but it is time to move on. As far as I'm concerned, I'm OK with the games being samey as long as there is SOMETHING that truly sets it apart from the other games. It was doing well, but came to a screeching halt with Twilight Princess, showing us they were out of ideas. So yes something must be done, but I don't think your ideas are the right way to go nescisarily.

Yea, i also own an XBox 360, and im tired of ever single game that gets any press being rated M just because the developers put tits in it

Although part of the tits idea for Zelda amuses me, to see link run after some other girl with bigger tits than Zelda would be amusing for a while, but would ruin the rest of the game

if they add vioce acting it should be akin to that in mp3 with everyone talking but Samus that worked really well, and i thought twilight princess was different enough from oot to be called a sequel

1. Voice actors would be cool.

2. I agree with this too, it's hard to find a truly evil villain.

3. I don't see the point, besides she can't conform to everyone's view of attractiveness. I agree that Link needs more motivation however, in fact he doesn't really have a personality at all.

4. Blood isn't necessary, Hylia isn't the real world, it doesn't conform to real world ideas like "animals have blood" or "women have breasts".

5. I'm fine with dungeons, I'd also be fine without them if the outdoors had the same volume of enemies and puzzles.

6. That would be a cool theme for the game, but magic can achieve what technology can, the only motivation for developing technology would be if magic ceased to work. That would be a pretty cool re-imagining of the franchise though.

Its a fun game, right? Why fix something that's not broken?

Why not ask for a new game series inspired by LoZ?

This is one thing I don't like about Nintendo fans; they always seem to think they know what's best for the franchises, and have no clue as to how horrible their ideas are. I learned that if you just accept the Zelda games for what they are, rather then play with your ridiculous image of what a Zelda game should be in mind, you have a lot more fun.

Considering how Miyamoto has stated that Twilight Princess would be the "last Zelda of it's kind" we should expect something new with the next installment. Even Nintendo realizes they can't just keep using the same tried and tested formula for the rest of time. What worries me is the new direction they'll take the series in, given Nintendo's new marketing strategy. Miyamoto has stated that he wants to make Zelda more casual, which has me pretty concerned about the next project. The latest patent they got (which describes a game called Legend of OO) only makes a casual Zelda game more likely.

Whatever new direction they decide to take the series in, at least I can thank them for ending the true series as best as they possibly could have, with Twilight Princess.

2. Make Ganon alot more evil! Kidnapping a single person over and over again isnt what I would call evil. He needs to start thinking bigger. Along the ways of becoming the next Napoleon Boneparte.
It's his thing, Just like Bowser and Princes Peach. It's Nintendo, things aren't going to change a whole lot...

I do agree that Zelda could use a reboot, but I disagree with a few of your ideas. Every Zelda character should have voice acting except for Link. Link has never spoke, he should remain silent, a way to keep the series to its roots. Same thing for dungeons. The problem isn't having dungeons, its keeping them fresh. Zelda games should have dungeons because that is part of what makes a Zelda game a Zelda game. I don't think the Zelda games need to be mature. As far as breasts go, if you're looking to a Nintendo game to satisfy your lust, you're am idiot. Get your big breasts elsewhere. I also don't think a game NEEDS blood to be good. What Zelda really needs is a deeper plot. I don't think Gannon should be more evil, but I think his character should be more fleshed out. I want to know why he does what he does, and not just because he'd evil. But I could be wrong. I trust Nintendo and if they agree with anything you've said, then fine, go with it.

Actually, I've got it all figured out. We need to just get Nintendo to make a new game in the (very) strong vein of Majora's Mask, complete with modern production values and voice-acting, plus even more extra dungeons and side-quests. Majora is the pinnacle of the series from artistic, story and design perspectives, and the marriage of them in its case was simply divine. Bring back the quirky characters and expansive but non-essential side-plots, the weird inverted level designs, the transformation mechanic that brings vastly different play-styles with each form, and a villain that, if not new, is evil in a truly immediate sort of way.

I love what Twilight Princess did with its characters and presentation of story, but it was all too conventional. Ganondorf is absolutely amazing in his role, and for the first time we see him as a truly bad-ass icon of evil on par with Darth Vader, but he also seems arbitrary; similarly, the world design itself is much too standard and seems borrowed from prior games. As large as the world is, as well, it feels empty, even though there's probably more content available than many other titles in the series. I also can't discount The Wind Waker's successes, but it seems more like it takes a lot of the ideas from Majora's Mask, namely, strong characters and side-quests, and gives them a new face.

I don't want different for the sake of different, to the point where it's not Zelda anymore. I like Link, I like Zelda, I like Hyrule, I like my lakes and rivers and mountains, I like the Gorons and the Deku Scrubs and the Gerudos. Keep them all. They're gold. What we need, however, is more depth - a denser, more vibrant world with greater nuance in geography, art, gameplay and characters. Remember the Great Bay from Majora's Mask? In that (relatively) small area, there are a multitude of characters (Zoras, the old scientist, the Gerudos, and the effing beavers!), gameplay styles (stealth, several mini-games, traditional dungeon-diving, exploration), and visual interest (underwater, above-cliffs, beaches, fortresses, caves), all in equal proportion. That right there is an amazingly-designed gameplay environment for the player to run free in, and it can be made better still.

I really think that it can be done, but I fear that it won't be. Nintendo is capable of making truly the best Zelda game ever, and they probably know how to, but they're afraid. They have a mission in mind, one that involves bringing their best and oldest franchises to the new gamers that have adopted the Wii. And they know as much as I do (much more, I'd wager) that it's very, very hard to make something both deep and accessible, not just accessible to the average Joe who grew up with games, but to the person who hasn't played any games beyond Wii Sports. I don't doubt Nintendo's talent and I know they won't release a bad Zelda game, but I fear they won't realise all the potential laid before them by prior games.

I like the idea of Steampunk LoZ. But I have another idea.

In this there would be voice actors, and Link would talk, but VERY little. He would mostly respond with one or two words, if nods and gestures don't express his meaning very well.

In my idea, Link and Ganondorf are friends at first. They grew up as childhood friends in the same village, where they fought with wooden swords, pretending to be like the great warriors of Hyrule's past. When the boys are 10, Ganon returns to his homeland to become King of the Gerudo. (Most of link's childhood will be gameplay in which you can play as both Link AND Ganon.
At the same time, Link becomes a Page under one of the Knights of Hyrule castle. It is then when he first meets Princess Zelda. She is a wild little girl, with a quiet distaste for the royal life, and wishes to see outside the court of her father, and meet the REAL people of Hyrule, not pompous overweight nobles who talk about nothing.
Two years later(12 yr old Link), Link is a Squire, and is given his own sword and shield. Princess Zelda, blossoming into womanhood, runs away from the castle, or attempts to. One night, when Link is returning sleepily to his room after a midnight trip to the bathroom (or castle kitchens or w/e) he hears a rustling and muffled squeals of frustration. He looks up one of the walls and sees Zelda caught on a decorative spike(because castles ALWAYS have decorative spikes), by her dress, about 10 feet(3 meters) up in the air.
Link, being the kind, quiet boy he is offers his help. Zelda tells him to catch her as she slides out of her dress. Underneath her dress, she is wearing tight clothing, almost exactly what Sheik wears. He catches her, rather ungracefully, as she knocks him down on his ass as he catches her. Zelda thanks Link and asks him to come with her into Hyrule Field, and elaborates that he is not her bodyguard or anything, she doesn't need to be protected, she's just never been outside the castle before and needs someone to show her the way. Link accepts of course, having no other choice with her being the princess and all, and they begin to sneak past the guards (actual gameplay). Once they make it to the castle gate, they sneak through the town and reach Hyrule Field.
After that, it flashes to the Gerudo Plains, an arid grassland in which you play as Ganon, as he trains for the role he has to fulfill as King. In this section, Ganon slowly learns of the corruption that is the Hyrule government. A King and his nobility stuffing themselves while in the Gerudo Nation, his people have to travel to simply find water to grow food and live. As part of the Gerudo custom. Ganon must travel into the Ancient tomb(The first actual dungeon of the game, he already has a Gerudan blade, which looks something like a scimitar) of his ancestors to claim the Sword of Gerudon(the first Gerudo king), a relic that has been passed through generation of the Royal Family.
In said tomb, there are trials that test Ganon's wit, strength, and judgement, skills needed by a good leader. Once he reaches the room in which the sword stays, he is met by his father; and elderly but muscled Gerudo nearing the end of his life. Ganon says that he must claim the sword, but his father denies his request. And so, by Gerudo custom, Ganondorf must kill his father to become Gerudo King.(This would be a Boss Fight)
He defeats his father, who before he is killed, congratulates his son, says he is proud of him, and gives him some sound advice "Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it." Ganon slays his father and claims the Sword.
It then flashes to Link and Zelda sitting on top of a hill, Zelda thanking Link for helping her get outside. Then back to Ganon, placing his father's body to the grave prepared for him.
As he walks outside he sees a shooting star. Link and Zelda see the same star. They all three, with inner voices overlapping, make the same wish. I wish to be with you again.

Well? What do you think?

How is Twilight Princess an RPG?
Yes, I made that entire post just so I can get into an argument about what constitutes an RPG. Thank you for understanding.
Could you please answer my question? You are very rude.
OH NOES! A rude person on the internet? UNHEARD OF!
