does anyone even care about the campaigns of games nowadays or is it aaaalllllll just the multiplayer? I love the campaigns of both cod and halo, but halo reach is gunna be sweet. I don't think that much so of black ops...
Not only are the first games you mentioned NOT FPSes, I've never heard of them and they most likely suck. Just because they invented a tiny element that Halo eventually used means nothing.LitleWaffle said:Regenerating health: Faceball 2000 and Wolverine: Adamantium Rage

Uh, minor correction. Faceball 2000 was a first person shooter on the Super Nintendo. A console. That kinda fits the bill of what you were saying the "requirement" of discussion was.skennedy929 said:Not only are the first games you mentioned NOT FPSes, I've never heard of them and they most likely suck. Secondly, we're talking about CONSOLE FPSes there chief, you know, the ones that were made for kids who couldn't afford PCs to game on?
If you read the books.....DazBurger said:Halo got a better story than most the other look-a-likes there have been made.
I'm going to assume you were talking to me with this post, and that you were still talking about Faceball. Yes, it was a fully 3D environment, at least as far as Doom was.skennedy929 said:I looked at a few screenshots and honestly couldn't tell what the game was about. I bet it wasn't a fully 3D environment though so it's still kind of a pointless game to mention in this debate.
Reminds me of Spectre for old Macs. So you got me, it's an incredibly old FPS that apparently uses regenerating health.Miles Tormani said:I'm going to assume you were talking to me with this post, and that you were still talking about Faceball. Here's a video of Stuttering Craig talking about it, though I think he may have been a bit too harsh with his retro review. [http://www.gametrailers.com/video/video-game-screwattack/702696]
If that's all it takes then good riddance.minxamo said:uh oh, somebody just derp'd their way on to my ignore list.
and on your second post... how sad.
I never said it did. Someone else did.skennedy929 said:Reminds me of Spectre for old Macs. So you got me, it's an incredibly old FPS that apparently uses regenerating health.
I still fail to see how that makes Halo derivative.
