ULTIMATE THROW BACK:

Journeyman Project 3000 Turbo!

Terrible, educational game, but it was on Windows 95 and it WAS AWESOME!
By far one of the most unintentionally alienating and magnificent games I've ever played.

I still remember walking to the door to the Pegasus and seeing my reflection, and it was the first human image i'd seen in the whole game, and flinching. Through the whole game, you're alone flying through space and time fighting against a past that nobody will be able to acknowledge that you'll have fixed.

I remember looking on tentatively and skeptically when I first used the teleportation machine. Actually gripping the corner of my computer desk when the 'molecular disintegration' process started >.< And omg! They don't build atmosphere like that anymore.

I am 22 now so I was a kid back in the mid-late 90s, and since I didn't get my first "console" (Gameboy pocket) til '99 I ended up playing lots of little DOS and Windows 3.1 games on the PC at home, back when Shareware was big.

I used to play games like:
- Commander Keen (in Goodbye Galaxy)
- Duke Nukem 2 (all 4 parts)
- Hocus Pocus (only part 1)
- Hubie
- Electrobody (demo)
- Ski-Free (damn that Yeti)
- Krypton Egg
- Chip's Challenge
- Skunny Kart Racing
- Jazz Jackrabbit (only part 1)
- Jill of the Jungle (what a babe haha)
Anyone remember any of these? I'm sure you can download them somewhere. I'll probably remember more later.
Which one's Jill of the Jungle? Sounds familiar but I can't remember it...

Anyway does anyone remember a game where you play this kid with a (English word escapes me... Rubberband stick thing kids use to throw rocks) killing off zombies and stuff?

I was always played on the PSX when I was littler. The only game I really remember on PC was Creatures. I've only met one person aside my sister who's heard of it.

If you grew up in the 90's and never played this game, I weep for you.

And Putt-Putt. Oh, Putt-Putt, you, along with Fatty Bear, Pajama Sam, Freddie Fish, and Spy Fox, will never be forgotten.

I remember this one space war, flight simulator, game thing that had this cutscene where all of these spies/infiltrators got brutally slaughtered by giant mechanical spider bots. That scene scared the hell out of me.
Freespace, probably. Giant mechanical spider bots sounds a lot like the Shivan race to me.

Anyone remember 'Abuse'?

Side scrolling platformer with cool animation, xenomorph lookalike enemies, bouncing mines and grenade throwing sentinel-droids? That game was hard. Never finished it.

I don't really need to worry about having nostalgia. I still play alot of my old Dos games. Most of them are available for free these days as Abandonware. I still play the Ultima's on a fairly regular basis. As well as many others. DosBox is probably the best invention I've ever encountered because it works better than origional dos ever did.

Jill of the Jungle was a little side-scroller where you fight these evil crocs to rescue some prince, she was this scantily clad blonde. And I think the word you were looking for was Slingshot, and that game might be "Zombies ate my neighbours", but I could be wrong

Descent: Freespace. I got a copy free with my computer in 1998 and I adored that game. Unfortunately the disc bit the dust a few years ago and i never got another copy :(

My first ever game was Wolfenstein 3-D - my dad bought it for me *tear*
In the following years we had a lot fewer FPS though:

Dr. Brain
Island of Dr. Brain
Myst
7th Guest
Phantasmagoria
Red Baron
Dune 2000
Red Alert

After this point I get in console gaming for a while, until I picked up Planet Side and SWG. I am pretty much a PC gamer again (I own both current consoles for the few gems that come along, but use them mostly for Netflix to be honest).

Dungeon Keeper should be on more lists!

Also the original prince of persia that you had a 1 hour time limit to complete the game from start to finish.

Normality.

Hmm gonna have to think.
