I'm not saying that people shouldn't have nudity in video games because its not necessary, I'm saying that if nudity really has any business being in a video game in the first place, then there isn't really a problem. Its when people shoehorn breasts or other taboo bodily what-nots into a game that I would even begin to protest.ciortas1 said:

Sex also has a pretty widespread effect and is significantly easier to "commit," so I could sort of see the argument. I disagree, though. I'd rather see children exposed to sex than violence. And by exposed, I do not mean subjected. Kids probably shouldn't be watching porn or violence, anyway.
In terms of nudity alone, I hate how prudish we are about it. The human body is a subject of shame and scandal.

Becuase nude=evil for some reason. Shit i dont know why but i have more problem with gore and blood then with nudeity. Mass Effect got a lot of shit because of 0.2 seconds of sideboob and it was labeled a "Advanced sex simulator" or something like that. And it has been mentioned but nudeity=sex is one thing to.

in Australia, old man government hates blood, gore and other stuff like that, as seen in the AUS release of L4D2, but if you lived in australia, basically the stuff you would see is punch ups and swearing, and aussies dont care about anything that goes on, especially in video games
I agree 100% man, it makes no sense, would they do that in a movie. No they wouldn't so why a video game.
It's pretty strange that this holds true while so many companies utilize such blatantly sexual marketing campaigns. I think you all know what I speak of.

The nudity factor has never worked with me, my first encounter with video-game nudity was when i started playing Vice City back in 2002, i was around 11 at the time and already feeling the kicks of puberty.
I remember thinking;
Well, thats hot looking at one of the chicks in bikinis, right after i stole a car and drove over random people....
Sure the instincts were there but it never lead me to buy any games in the future, i saw through that charade at a young age.
Many of my ...pardon the term... stupider friends ended up with some really shitty games as a result of buying them cause of the badly shaped CGI buns and jugs on the cover or in the commercials.
The only series of games i bought with women priding the covers was the Grand Theft Auto games, only cause i have a fondness for the series.

Honestly? I don't think video games need nudity in them at all. Everyone has seen it all by the age of 11 anyway. Having it in a game for the sensationalist press it receives is the sign of an uncreative developement team. The tease of nudity with scant armor and underwear is far more titilating. But putting sex in a game is outright lazy. And if you must, have it be unseen just to enrage and increase the adrenaline for more.
I think that there shouldn't be nudity just to try and sell the game, the game should sell itself whether there's nudity or not.
