Ok now I live in Canada and I have heard some of my US friends and other people in the US that I don't really know(online game stuff)say that Obama is a Fascist and a Communist. But what I don't understand is that isn't fascism one extreme of the political scale and communism the other? So what I am trying to say is what do they really mean? Or are they just saying random ignorant things? (Also I don't have a super understanding of politics this is just something I have been trying to figure out so please correct me if I am wrong)
PS Please lets not start something here the only thing I want here is my question answered (or corrected)
Obama can be categorized into a lot of things, but Marxist and Communist are the terms you want to use to define him. Here's why.
Karl Marx argued that an economic minority, the rich, can dominate the working class. So far, that's not true. In fact, the rich pay the most for their wealth. So ten percent may own the most money in America, but those same people provide %70 of the total tax revenues. The Middle class, the %60 in the middle, pay the remainder of the taxes. The impoverished, the lowest %30, pay nothing, and they also receive the majority of government aid that is funded by taxpayer money.
So, given that, why would Obama want more money from the rich and the middle class for the poor when there's no reason to do so? The answer is because those people who have nothing often believe that some one should provide for them, whether they deserve it or not. So, if someone says he'll tax the rich and the middle class to provide even more for the lowest class, if you were in the lowest class, you would be all over the guy.
The problem is if you punish those who have to provide for those who do not have, you get a class of people who refuse to work and live off the government and the working class. Then, when people see that their work is being punished, what reason would they have to keep their businesses large and profitable? They would choose to shrink their businesses to escape the taxes and in the process, Capitalism dies. That leads into Communism.
Is that good? Hell no. Capitalism is part of our culture, as well as nearly every other successful nation out there. It's the reason sites like The Escapist even exist, or why we have companies that compete against each other to give us better gaming. If you have any common sense, would you throw that away?
Also, here's few other things to consider about this guy:
1. Why has Obama not sent FEMA or foreign vessels to help with the spill, yet he's going back to cap and trade and green energy talks?
2. Why did he suggest that there be a "civilian national security force" that answers only to him?
3. Why has he brought in all these czars, who by their very definition, are not constitutionally elected, and therefore, not able to make policy decisions?
4. Why did he fire General McCrystal because of an article published in Rolling Stone Magazine, and because of "insubordination" when that means disobeying orders?
5. Why has he continued to pass bills and legislation without letting us speak about them?
I think Michael Savage put it best: "Most people don't realize that we have a baby dictator in power right now. You say that's crazy? I say you're crazy."

I agree, %100. This is in no way a race issue, but if people are defending him because they think it's that, it shows that they truly cannot think outside racial lines. And I pity people who think that way.
