I'd say the whole recession deal is definitely one of those times when things are really needed. So he should at least try to pull us out of it before he screws himself over.

You do realise that if he doesn't make people happy it's doubtfull he will be able to do that which angers others?

It would make his last action a failure, again if you wan't a goverment where the leaders don't care about making those they serve happy then I suggest you move to a dictatorship like North Korea, because that seems to be the type of goverment you want.

Evidently no one got my point. I was citing the part of the article where it states that the Lawyers will throw a hissy fit if he instates malpractice lawsuit limits. It then says that they are a main supporter of the Democratic party. Well screw the Democrats! Screw the Republicans! Do what's best for the country, not your party affiliation, and even if it gives you a bad name, you will be praised for it in the long run.

Do you know who your leaders are?
Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and John Roberts.

The reason they are your leaders is because the power is sperated between:
The President of the United States
The United States House of Representatives
The Supreme Court of the United States

That is how it was made to be 200 or so years ago, the president is suppost to compromise, thats how the system works. Which brings us around to my first point: Deal with it or leave.

Actually, the president originally only had two responsibilities: Commanding the nations armed forces, and being a check against power-hungry acts of congress. through the process of precedent [He did that so i have to do it too, etc, etc] Those powers have been expanded both past the boundary of the law and far too wide in my opinion.

Its doesn't say he CAN'T do it, I guess...
