what you fail to realize is that he is doing is best for the country. if he dosnt please some of the intrest groups they will sit there and make a really big deal and thus kill the bill or whatever stage the legislation is in. thier like Republicans if you dont do what they want they sit there and ***** and whine till they get it.
FACT: Republicans have not used a filibuster [vote blocking maneuver] in congress in more than 100 years.
FACT: Democrats have used at least four in every Republican controlle dcongress since its institution.
I hope you're not including Democrats before 1964 in that statement.

Well isn't it obvious? Let me illustrate by a mock conversation. Note, this is after he has befriended every world leader and the like.

Obama: "Hi there Mr. Berlusconi, that's a fine country you have there!"
Mr. Berlusconi: "Why thank you, my finely tanned friend!"
Obama: "Now, I hate to be a nuisance or anything, but would you mind giving me your country?"
Mr. Berlusconi: "Beg your pardon, my well tanned friend, but are you out of your mind?"
Obama: (to other country leaders) "THIS MAN IS A RACIST! ARREST HIM FOR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION!"
*Obama takes over Italy*

Just kidding, Obama seems to be a fine fellow indeed. Let him make friends with everybody out there, he has a lot to make up for after the Bush administration.

I'm a Brit, before I appear ignorant of home affairs in America. But aside from shutting down Guantanamo (granted, a big thing) and freaking out New York by playing chicken with the skyline with Air Force One, what has he actually done yet?

He's new in office, true, but he hasn't actually yet done anything of note.

Still like him, though

because...follow me here.

if you have a population of 100.

and the majority if 40.

and then you have 6 minorities of 10 people each.

you can please the majority and lose the next election.

or please all the minorities and win everything.

He is the first Black President. I'm not being racist here, but the isn't the media just waiting for a reason to rip him apart? Why wouldn't he try to make everyone happpy?
This, there are a lot of naysayers and he will have to please them if he wants to stand a chance of being re-elected. It's unfortunate, but that's a part of politics, and with him being the first Black President he sadly has more naysayers than most.

His a politician, they are interested in making people happy. People are far to stupid to recignize useful policys, so politicians don't have them.

Obama, I love you man, but you had better start working on gay rights and overthrowing DOMA and DADT. I understand that it's a sensitive issue, but people are losing patience with this shit and you do NOT want to go into your second term having only a bullshit "Gay Pride Month" credit to your name.

dont think he heard you

i think this pretty much sums up fox's opinion

I`d hardly call sub-prime loans "hard earned money"

The problem with Obama is he ran on the platform of change. He`s supposed to be the one in charge changing the way government works and not appeasing lobbyist. Instead he`s continuing the american tradition of granting billions of dollars to failing companies with horrible business models so the CEO`s (responsible for the failure and still employed unlike their thousands of blue collared workers) can continue their lavish life styles. I thought we elected him to kick ass and take names, not hop in bed with them.

I didn't know that the rich part of the US population consists of only (investment) bankers.

You can partially blame shareholders for the second part, as they don't replace the Board of Directors/CEO's. If it wasn't for the capital injection those blue-collared workers would lose their jobs.

He's my president, he works for me. That's what he is supposed to do. What did you think he was gonna be a super hero? No, he supposed to do his job.
