Guys, think about it. With the Obama win, America will finally have an intelligent leader at it's helm.
Well, we had one before January 20, 2001.
Yeah, people forget the last two Democrat Presidents--Clinton and Carter--have been a Rhodes Scholarship winner and a naval officer under instruction to become an engineering officer for the nuclear power plant of the USS Seawolf.
A Rhodes scholarship winner - but he didn't graduate (having left for Yale Law School). [http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=950CE7D8153AF93AA35755C0A962958260&sec=&spon=&pagewanted=print]

You know why do Presidents have to smile it their portraits now days. Damn you Ford and your Half Grin!

On the side note, he has a 1/11 chance he will make it through at least one terms and possibly 2 without being assassinated. That's a pretty good odds considering.

[a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama]"Religion: Protestant Christian."[/a] That is, unless you're a conspiracy theorist or something. (I admit this is a lame argument, but no reliable source I know of claims Obama is a Muslim, and why do you care, anyway?)

As for the Socialist bit, that is, to put it bluntly, stupid and ridiculous. "Socialist" is a scare-tactic word which is not bad or evil by its actual definition. You'd better not try to tell me we're a pure capitalist society now, because we aren't, nor would that be a good thing. Besides, Obama isn't going to make our economy pure socialist, or even significantly more socialist; if he was, everyone would rightly think he was nuts and not elect him.

I will say this though. Now that Obama is going to be President I can justify punching someone in the face who tries to make the argument that whitey is keeping the black man down.
You sir are Epic Win

WHITE RAGE!
Damn straight, hey at least they finally got rid of Affirmative Action in Nebraska. The fact of the matter is that this is the 21st Century and true racists are a small minority. Hell I bet there are more Ron Paul supporters out there than actual honest to God, sheet wearing, cross burning, racists in America today. What Im getting at is segregation ended a long time ago and the inequality between races has all but disappeared so a system like Affirmative Action is outdated.

I know--that's why I wrote "Rhodes Scholarship winner" ;-D

In fact--I used the same article to fact-check myself! Small (virtual) world!
I had that suspicion, but I wanted to make sure people understood why you'd said 'winner' on this small point. And who thought the net was such a country town?

See I would agree with that, but when I hear someone that is voting for Obama agree that Palin is his VP and that she if from the State of Detroit... I find that their lack of ability to find such things not surprising

Hey most of the country just voted to put a guy in office whose middle name is the same as a dictator we just overthrew. That alone should send up little red flags (preferably not ones with a sickle and hammer on it but you never know).

Eh... I from what I have seen its been reversed in some cases, I have had a Hispanic General Manager tell her white employees that she only hired them because customers complained about lack of english speaking/White employees.

I just hope that the white radicals and racists will swallow their foolish pride and not try anything stupid. Obama won, that's it let's move on, not brood and plan on doing something that we will regret. I would hope that the U.S. would learn a little tolerance in this situation, and let the man lead.

However, this is America we're talking about, and we've never had a lot of tolerance to begin with. I'll say this, I voted for Obama, and I'll stand by my vote, and if any one has a problem with it, there's a door over there, and don't be surprised if I put a boot somewhere on your way out.

That's like saying your toes fell off from frostbite but now your foot is warm so your toes must have grown back.
...You have a very very interesting and dysfunctional mind you know that. Are you actually saying that black people need government help in order to get to the same place in life as white people? Such an idea is outdated at best and racist at worst. The color of a person's skin has absolutely nothing to do with how successful they can be in life in this country today.

Yeah the simile would be more appropriate for of a genocide during the 50's of African Americans. Personally I feel its more along the line of you have 3rd degree burns and now that you have time to heal you don't have to look at the scars. That would be more appropiate.

I would support Condoleezza Rice if she ran, but I can't find a thing I like in Obama
