Oddest Dream You've Ever Had

Not so much an odd dream as a common dream for me. Any time Summer break rolls around I will have dreams where I'm back in school for some odd reason. One time it was that we were called in to have mandatory summer classes. The wierdest one was that they couldn't explain why, and I would always wake up and check the calendar in order to confirm that it was in fact still summer.

Scared the shit out of me every time though.

When I was around 14 I had a reoccurring dream in which I randomly got black bagged and got taken to this fat guys house. He would cut marks on my skin and torture me, I would then always escape and grab a small sword, run down the side street in which he lived always looking back at white house I had been held captive in. When I turn the corner he is standing there with a small knife. I would run at him and stab him in the chest, feeling the force behind the blade piercing his flesh. He would just stand their and smile at me until he pinned me to the ground and slit my throat.

That is when I would wake up. I had it around 5 or 6 times, never quite figured out what it meant, though.

I was standing by an in-ground swimming pool and decided to go swiming. Upon entering it I saw a dolphin. Also in the pool were a hammerhead shark and some middle aged guy trying to get the dolphin. So I tryed saving the dolphin,and when I got out of the pool it turned into some sort of chibi, animeish version of a dolphin. Then I woke up. Needless to say I was slightly confused.

Weird one I had last night where I picked up a hitchhiker for some reason, she said she had no place to stay, so I offered her to stay at my house.

Then, next thing I new, she had somehow become a tall business man with a suit a briefcase and looked something like the G man only with glasses. He had knocked me unconscious then I was somehow locked in my room even though it locks from the inside.

When I finally got out, everything was gone including the house itself and when I opened the door, I was just floating in air looking down on the Earth.

I then lost my balance and fell.

I then woke up.

Might someone be able to interpret that?

Drugs.

By the way, all these dreams sound freaking awesome.

Weirdest dream I had was my dog was a theistic deity for some unknown reason. I went on various quests with him and finally woke up.

How did that get past me?!

..and another dream I had was when I was in a car (in the passenger seat, as all the other seats were taken)driving up a grassy green hill and I look out the window to see open blue sky. I turn back to look at the people in the car, except there are no longer any people. I get a falling sensation, however the car is still moving vertically up the hill.

i had a dream that i was on the feild i have to cross going to school, but there was a fence in the middle, i was with a bunch of WWII allies and there were nazis on the other side of the fence, me and the allies charged rifles first until we got to the fence, i then lead the way, i jump over the fence and charge at the nearest nazi who is firing at me with a pistole just berly missing. I go to fire my fifle at him and realize that i'm not holding anything. Suddenly i just hear "i forgot my rifle" and realize that i left my rifle on the ground in order to hop the fence (at this point i hadn't realized it was a dream and was expecting death). i proceeded to get shot like fifty times as a wrestled the nazi for his gun, knocked him out and ran at the other two as i couldn't seem to hit anything with the pisole (the pistole fired on like a 45 degree angle) and then i woke up. i woke up from that so freaked out.

Anyway, about your other dream, I'd say that has something to do with a fear of losing all that you love and all control over the situation.

You may know what's going on, but you don't know what to do or how to control it.

This is all speculation of course and I am merely a random internet user and you have no reason to believe me, but as someone who has dabbled a bit in dream psychosis and who studies psychology extensively, I feel confident in my interpretations.

Strange that I can't interpret my own dreams though.

That's very interesting. Especially cause that frustration is something I get alot. Lemme see if I can brainstorm anything about your dream..

Well, the room being supposedly being locked by the business man with the briefcase probably means you felt controlled at the time of the dream by someone with a moderate amount of power? I'm not sure. Then you finally take the view from the outside (outer space) and this might mean you're looking down out how insignificant everything is. Or more specifically you are. Or you could be taking the view of the businessman, looking down at everything. The hitchiker at the beginning doesn't seem to have a meaning except deceiving you, which I'm guessing she succeeded at doing..

I don't even study psychology, so sorry if this doesn't help at all, but that's all I can think.

So I was in a car that was going backwards up a hill when the driver turns back and I see he is a skeleton. So I drive the car as best I could but I couldn't drive. So I was going down the hill when the car broke and I fell out and my paritute opened up.

I walked threw a forest which had tree ents and one of them picked me up and threw me at a beach where a turtle ate my arm that grew back in a second. Then a war between turtles and squirrels broke out and then it was raining flowers. The war ended when I turned to look at the ice cream man and when I turned back there was my grandmas house so I went inside and got tackled by her dog who licked me. Then my mom and dad were there and we had cookies and milk.

I went outside where my friends were playing a ball game in traffic and one of them got hit, but I didn't care. So I ran up took the ball and ran. Then the ball exploded and turned into butterflies that ate some girls shirt off. It was hot so I got an Ice cream from a pig guy and threw it ate the girl who had no shirt and it was sexy... anyways I then ran away because somehow I lost my pants. I then saw this guy beat this other guy up and run so i took the beat up guys shirt and used it to cover me up. Then I was in a helicopter in my pajamas and I jumped out and opened my paritute with my stuffed teddy bear and we landed in my parents bed which I woke up in.



It was strange.

You may be onto something. While I don't feel necessarily controlled by someone, I feel like my life is being moved in the wrong direction by an outside force whom I try to help yet deceives me in the end.

I was a hostess for an international rock musician meeting, held in a mansion located in a slummy alleyway. They made me dress like The Penguin. The party was crashed when an alien mothership resembling a gigantic pack of Trident Original Gum broke the windows & let all it's individually wrapped pieces buzz about the room like flying carpets. One piece abducted a transvestite. Singers like Prince, David Bowie, Micheal Jackson, Boy George, & the Milli Vanilli boys all took huge rifles from behind their backs & started shooting at the flying gum.

There's this one where I dreamed I was a squid-... wait...

Okay, there was one where I dreamed I was house, solving a case to analyze why this guy died, when coming across the fact that it was an assassination I had flashes of most the team members dying in very horrifying ways, the killer then came to me but on account of having a limp I couldn't get away, I beat him off with my stick but then he changed into Sylar. At this point I was thinking I'm fucked, but Foreman came and tackled him away, we then got onto optimus prime and I through a ton of grenades I had collected previously to the ground, it was the most beautiful set of explosions I couldn't remember.

I also had another one where an invisible ghost was fondling me, slightly more disturbing.

That is the most epic dream I have ever heard of.

And I think the ghos tone is actually a paraphilia or something...

Doesn't Paraphilia only apply if I engaged in sex with a ghost? This was more like molestation. (paramolestation?)

I've had a few odd and creepy dreams, but the two that stood out for me were.

I had a game of poker with various video game characters, Kirby, solid snake, Mario and the girl from portal. The weird thing is I've had this dream a lot and the players change every time. Also I don't even know how to play poker in real life.

Another one I've had is when I'm a member of the Dutchman ship (From Pirates of the Caribbean.) I've only had it once, but the scariest thing was I woke up with the words. "Part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship." ringing in my ears.

Every second or third day I wake up to the oddest/creepiest dreams/nightmares, but by the end of the day (if I'm lucky) I'll forget them. I'll just have to keep this thread in mind next time.
