SKATE 2, MW2, BC2 (any game from the Battlefield series, actually), Black and White 1 & 2, The Escapist, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Dead Space, and Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 all have one thing in common...

They ALL keep me up all FUCKING night!

I have a problem :D

The last time this happened was with the first Condemned. I got it via gamefly and wanted to finish it up so I started it at about 6 or 7 PM. I thought "I'll just finish up this chapter" but I didn't want to cut off in the middle because then the atmosphere would stop. So I kept on going, I got to the subway level and never realized I should have gone to bed until during the Apple Orchard level. By then it was too late to quit seeing as how I only had two levels to go. I went to bed at about 4 AM. Goooooooood times. It's best when you play a game like that....sometimes. I usually do that to a new game, like Bioshock2.

The games that do this normally are TF2, Timesplitters 3, GTA4, and 007 Night Fire.

Diablo 2. Very fond memories of playing very late (or early) with friends either online or over a LAN.
And the only single player game I can think of having that effect on me was Chrono Cross. I don't know what happened there, I just got completely absorbed into it for some reason, and beat the game as the sun was coming up one day.

OpenTTD, until I got tired of it. Basically, any sort of endless management game: Anno, Civ, SimCity, The Sims, and etc. I almost always play FPS games in one sitting too, but they generally don't last long enough to meet the thread's requirements.

I remember getting pokemon yellow and an attachable overtorch contraption thingy for my gameboy colour (before backlit gameboys existed for all you young people out there) when yellow was released, I was up till like 3.30, I was only about 10 haha.
Ahh that thing, what a luxury. I had to fumble around with a regular flashlight. Prop it up in the right angle and then play in a really uncomfortable position. But it sure as hell was worth it.

That JUST happened to me too. It's now 7:15AM, and I just got done with a round of Civ4. I had meant to play it for only a little and then move back to Oblivion. I'm actually playing Oblivion again! Woot? It certainly isn't as bad as I remembered it, but Morrowind still is the better game IMO.

I remember years ago at the great age of 14 playing runescape accidentally until the next morning when I heard my parents waking and hastily scrambled to turn my computer off and get in bed before they realized, that was the first time I ever stayed up all night, the same type of thing has been repeated many times since, most recently when I played GTA 4 on the pc (only last week) and was determined to complete it as I got bored with it on PS3 before I had a chance to finish.
good to see im not the only one that has been in that exact situation (age and everything)

most recently iv done this with World Of Warcraft, Call Of Duty 6, Team Fortress 2, Lead And Gold, Left For Dead 2 and probably some others that i don't remember right now

The first time I ever did this was with Banjo-Kazooie. I'd rented it and wanted to beat it so I started playing it. My mom came in and I assumed she was going to tell me to go to bed, but instead she told me it was 7AM and that I was grounded till the next century. Fun stuff.

I was going to log off WoW at around 11pm and go to bed...then I saw that in one more level I could make my Flying Machine. Every voice in my head just collectively said 'It's gotta be done.'
Bastard kept me up until 5. Was it worth it?

Hell fucking yes.
