I'm actually using Valentine's Day to my advantage in getting a girlfriend instead of sitting home sobbing about not having one. I'd go out drinking instead, but I'm not of age.

20 y/o girl and I always try to make sure I'm single around v.day. Mainly because I'm not into what people generally think the romantic things in life are, and it's too frustrating to try to get out of doing something for v.day without offending any current boyfriend or girlfriend I might have.
Ugh, Valentines day whining. The inevitable song of the this-year-single chorus when the disturbing frilly heart decorations make an appearance.
I'm married and I don't even really care about the day. We'll do the gift exchange of small items purchased, get pizza or eat at the local place (on each side of the booth, not that same side crap), play video games separately in our offices for awhile - then go to bed. It's a normal day for us, there just happens to be gifts.
I think this is just about the lack of teh hawt shex for some of yah.

The day is much better if you view it as a party entitled "I'M STILL A BACHELOR DAY!" Believe me, this shit is important. With all my friends getting married and what not, it's nice to have a day for all the single people to get together and eat dead animals, shoot guns, drink beer (after shooting guns, never while or prior to,) chew tobacco, say "fuck" a lot, and urinate outside.

I was actually born on Valentine's Day, but I'm single. So it's kind of a "hooray!" and "aww..."
My partner and I are going out dancing at a night club. And then we're coming home and having sex. There will also likely be some sort of chocolate involved - not sure of the details on that yet.Ossian said:

On the 12th, the Nightclub I work in is having a Flirt Party. But I plan to spend V-Day the same way I always do; playing games, watching MST3K and ignoring my emotions.
