Use a condom, and fucking is good for you.
That isnt true. Do I need to list the reasons?
If you are protected, it is great exercise, it makes you happy, releases chemicals and whatnot in your brain that make you feel good. There is no downside as long as you are careful.

Care to explain how consensual protected sex is bad?

Uh... Have these people looked at the romance novels that the parents of these kids are reading? Those things are worse than what the kids are reading... If the books are banned, all the kids have to do is steal mommy's book for a bit...

Actually that could be considered pornography. The definition of pornography is media that is ment to stimulate. If the author ment to stimulate the reader, then it is pornography.

Anyway, I think they are going a little overboard. If they are old enough to read in the young adult section, then they can read about sex.

Sure, there is always a risk of a condom break, but its pretty low and its the cheapest/easiest protection avaible :\

And about the topic, damn i hate that "OMFG kids cant take care of themeselves about sex, violence or other subjects we dont want to talk about with them because we think we will lead them the wrong way by talking to them about those subjects. And stuff"

Sexually explicit books WOULD be in the adult section. Books with sexual themes in them, that are not the basis of the book, are a different story.

It is no coincidence that incidents like this all have the same qualities-the people are usualy :
1.Older
2.Conservative
3.Religious

Like they need to realize that the job of protecting the children depends on the PARENTS. Not the town, not the government, not them, the kids PARENTS. Like why do all these extreme conservatives think that they are the only thing standing between America and utter destruction. Yes the world is fucked up. But it has been like this for thousands of years. Only technology has changed. Like why don't we censor absolutely everything, so that when little miss perfect gets into the real world she has no idea what the fuck is going on. Like if I was the mayor I would say "Take your goddamn pills" Cause these people are obviously crazy.

Sorry that rant wasnt very thought out or well aimed, I just so damn sick of hearing conservative nut jobs cry "SATAN!!!!!" on every little fuckin thing.

Retarded Censorship. We need to decide what we can and can't do. Not them.

The user of contents gets to the decide, not others.

I agree. People need to learn to shut up and realize that it isn't their job to micromanage every single thing.

what happened to freedom?
What freedom? We don't have rights... George Carlin said it best. We have momentary privileges. Nothing more. 'For the children' is the ultimate, indomitable banner of censorship and restrictive government. If we continue to do everything 'for the children', the children will never want to grow up to be adults.

Yay, devils advocate!

Whats the big deal? There not removing them from the library. There not removing access, there not censoring. There re-classifying the book to a different part of the library. Uptight parents put book in possibly wrong place in the library. It's kind of stupid, but aren't there a million battles to fight before this one? If this is the biggest problem in your school, consider yourself lucky.
