I prefer to game with friends instead of alone. That's hardly unreasonable.ArcWinter said:I really could copy and paste another post I had made on the same topic, but the OP seems a bit more aggressive, and I'd probably get called out on it. (it was very sarcastic)
Anyway, in less words, deal with it. You say you hate idiots? (hit mute or just disconnect your microphone) Y'know what I hate? PEOPLE IN PARTIES (OR NOT TALKING) WHILST PLAYING A TEAM GAME. Talk to your team, if they talk back coherently, it's strategy, you'll win! Try it, guaranteed within 15 days to make you suck less!
And hey, must you be blabbin' to your friends every minute of every day? I'd assume not.
As for strategy... HA! In CoD? HA! There is no strategy. Nobody ever talks tactics or teamwork. Try it and nobody plays along. You just start talking military nonsense and nobody talks because they're all in parties, or don't care. Proper, professional clans use genuine teamwork, not randoms on the internet. You don't need teamwork. Anybody half clever enough to play with strategy is probably playing with friends, happier by themselves or will help you out without talking.
Left 4 Dead? Borderlands? Operation Flashpoinr : Dragon Rising? See a theme? They pretty much require chat. No mic in L4D and that Witch'll gut your team alive. No speaky in Borderlands and a group of Badass Corrosive Alphas will gnaw your legs off. And not talking in OF : DR is nuts, you'll just die. Because it is a realistic shooter. Vaguely anyway. Not the kind of Call of Duty "reealizm" that surmounts to good graphics and human looking environments.
In Call of Duty you just don't need to talk, but IW thinks that instead of having a relaxed game talking to my friends I have to, with no options, speak to my team.
