The devs have their reasons to do certain things to their own game.
Its like petitioning against a cure for cancer that could possibly give you a mild cold.
The only way they will learn is if various review sites give them lower scores due to these changes.

Eh they are just doing their best to make the MP fair and cheat free. It's no big deal, it just helps those of us who want a cheat free game. Granted there is probably a few who actually use party chat while doing some TDM but still if your desperate to be ing 24/7 chatting with friends call them or just stay in party chat and play uno or something.

If it had a legit chance of lowering cheating, I'd be willing to argue in favor of it but:
1)This would only stop cheating in the Search and Destroy gametypes, as those are the only games where, when you die, you can't talk to teamates unless they're already dead or you're in a party
2)Very few people use this to cheat anyway. It's somewhat of a problem in Gears of War, but we aren't talking about GoW right now.

Thats a very valid point. It still doesn't matter though. An internet petition of a game that drops in a few days isn't going to do anything...especially not when the game is going to be bought up like hot cakes and everyones going to drop the issue in a day or two after release.

I'm really starting to hate these petitioners. Here's what you do if you want to talk to friends: PLAY WITH THEM.; If you don't want to hear the idiot kids: MUTE THEM. The game is a week from release. Your petitions will affect NOTHING. This one's the absolute worst, since it only affects console players. Guess what: THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU A F**KING PATCH. Now stop whining, and deal with it.

I signed the petition even though I don't use party chat, because I'm tired of all these massive changes in the game that Infinity Ward decided to tell us about when they're past the point of being allowed to edit the game. The whole thing feels cheap and really feels like they were lying to us during development.

Something you didn't consider: Between MTD and FFA, you have all the gametypes you need. If you want to be in a party, just play one of those two.

I know you said it wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer anyway. I heard about the Dedicated servers thing, but I didn't really care. I didn't get angry at people who did care, but it didn't affect me (aside from the occasional TF2 match and a few Single Player games on Steam, I'm a 360 gamer), so I didn't really care all that much. I did, however, sign petitions on behalf of PC gamers who were angry at IW because, although I have only the slightest idea what a dedicated server is, I know it's important to my PC gaming brethren, and the price being raised for them was bullshit in and of itself.
