this makes me sad, I think IW needs to be quiet until november 10th because they are pissing people off, no dedicated servers, no party chat, Fight against frag spam, they are just pushing customers away. (I think F.A.G.S is funny but I can understand how it can be offensive.)

Good, that'll show those people who dare not talk to their 12 years old teammates trying to make a name for themselves.

In all honesty. I don't really care too much. I don't understand HOW they'd take party chat out, but if they do... Woopty Doo. It won't make or break a game for me. I'll just talk to my friends in game and listen to the douchebaggery of the other team before/after the game.
It'll be awesome.

Well, that sucks. You know, if you really cared that much there is one thing you could do.

[HEADING=1]Find another game to play[/HEADING]

"Oh," you say, "But it's Modern Warfare 2, it's the biggest game evar. I have to play it so them making design changes that hinder something I enjoyed about the last game is wrong!"

No, no it isn't. It's their choice as to what is included in the game. If they are set in this decision you may just have to get over it and play anyway. If you just can't get over it, then play a different game.

Finally, it is good to remember that they owe you nothing. It's their game, if the multiplayer turns out shitty when it comes out because they made some bad choices, than so be it.

Again, I may be willing to support this argument under most circumstances, but Party Chat is not theirs to get rid of. It's a core feature of XBL, one that I pay a pretty penny to MS for, and IW, as a third party, has no right to get rid of that, especially when, as I've noted above, it's for nothing.

Well, that sucks. PS3 user here, so I won't feel the difference, but I can see where you're coming from. My friends and I use Skype to the same ends, and if we were somehow banned from skyp'ing while playing MW2, that would irritate me to no ends.

I'm really starting to hate these petitioners. Here's what you do if you want to talk to friends: PLAY WITH THEM.; If you don't want to hear the idiot kids: MUTE THEM. The game is a week from release. Your petitions will affect NOTHING. This one's the absolute worst, since it only affects console players. Guess what: THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU A F**KING PATCH. Now stop whining, and deal with it.
Actually, they can give him a patch. Games install on current gen consoles, and download patches jsut as on the pc.

I'm almost certain that when you agree to pay for Live you are paying for whatever MS approves is done with it, not the individual features. If MS decides that it is fine for IW to remove party chat, then it is. Sorry, but that is quite simply how the world ticks. After all, all Xbox Live features are subject to change as approved by MS.

Believe me, I am sad that IW seems to be actively trying to get people to hate their game before it comes out, but don't assume that they must have something in it or included in it simply because you are paying for live.

True enough, I suppose. I was really looking forward to this game too, but this is just too much of a dealbreaker for me. Oh well, at least this settles my indecision over whether to get this or Assassin's Creed 2.

Very nicely worded, this is pretty much what I've been trying to say. I mean, I have my most fun on XBL in a massive party, usually with everyone playing different games, and it feels like a ripoff to lose that because of a vast minority of cheaters.

Now that is the attitude to have, free market backlash is the best teacher for big companies.

Get your friends to play in the same match.
Not that easy. Not all friends are going to get this game or necessarily play it at the same time, and there's no reason to be restricted this was. It's completely needless.

Yeah, although it sure as hell won't be enough this time. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/95897-Modern-Warfare-2-Is-GameStops-Most-Preordered-Game-Ever]

I can understand that because sometimes me and my friends play different games and it's just funnier talking to people you know than moronic little kids on xbl.

Here's hoping. Although if they make us pay for DLC to allow Party Chat, I swear to god...

Ok according to WePlayCoD to their knowledge it's true, there's nothing atm that is going to change that, this petition is likely not going to do anything, but none the less I signed it. Look this pissed me off as well, but according to WPC, it's in TDM(hopefully HC version as well) which is pretty much all I play anyways so im still going to get this.

The things that bugs me the most are 1. Talks of more games implementing this. 2. Why not just in S&D since that's where this very rare problem is occurring. & 3rdly something unrelated to this subject...Juggernaut is still in the game lol

Granted, but no one is FORCING you to give up party chat.
if you choose to buy IW's game, its simply your choice.

But I was referring to the petitions in general.
They dont have a right to petition something that isn't theirs, and that they don't own, or buy.
You cant demand someone change THEIR product, before you are even a customer.
