The first thing that comes to mind is that maybe you should join NAMBLA.
Isn't that from an episode of South Park? What a great show.
NAMBLA is actually a real organization. (North American Man Boy Lovers Association, for those who don't know.)
As horrible as it is, they are still allowed to exist because of our pesky "free speech" laws.
No, I meant the scenario he described. I'm pretty sure there's an episode of South Park where Cartman (maybe someone else) looks for some 'mature friends' on the internet, and ends up involved with NAMBLA.

As long as you are immature in a fun way where you enjoy the stupidest things then it's fine. I am a pretty mature person but sometimes I just get into a very giddy mood where I will be immature for no reason. There are always immature people.

To be happy in life, you need but one rule: Don't act mature, but make mature decisions.

And yes, there is a huge difference.

In addition: If you think over 80% of the people around you exhibit a certain undesirable trait, chances are you are too.

Well, I'm 15, and people are stupid for the most part. Although you can tell who's matured and who hasn't at this point, and there's a clear split between the two.

I'll try to make this short and sweet.

Look at the US Congress, (or most governing bodies, in fact). If you think anyone is going to ever get above 13 years old mentally, watch some CSPAN and confirm your worst fears: most don't.

I've been questioning the purpose of my existence since I was 12 years old, I've been interested in government, religion, debating, and psychology. I'd argue that even now I'm far more mature than most people my age. Or far more intelligent or something, because the people I interact with on a daily basis are simply put...incompetent.

An interest in (arguably) advanced topics makes you no more mature than... well, anyone. Nor does an increased intellect (which should have informed you that incompetence has nothing to do with maturity, but skill level).

And questioning your purpose in life at 12 is not necessarily a good thing.

Maturity implies passed time, or the predicted state of mind after time has advanced in an individuals life time. I'm saying I displayed characteristics that are often present in older(mature) people. I never said it was good, I never said maturity was good either.

Oh look people full of ego thinking their so much more mature than everyone else.
They're. Your welcome.
On topic, people aren't always mature. It's a peculiar side affect of life, but there you go.
You're. You're welcome now.
Yes, people are not always mature, but I've been labeled as too serious for my age, and I'm 15. I fail to see the point of acting like you're an ADHD sufferer if you KNOW you can act maturely, then again, if you DO have ADHD, then, this is a completely different kettle of fish.

There is a difference between people who think they are mature, and ACTUALLY BEING MATURE. Mature people are people who have responsibilities and are capable of taking care of others. Immature people include douchebags who knock on others for not being as "sophisticated as them"

It depends on what you're talking about. Are you talking about that "like OMG can you believe (some random ***** you've never met) kissed (some random dildo you don't give a shit about) even though he's going out with (some girl who you only know because she never shuts up)" social clique crap, or are you talking about like, dumb jokes and shit. Because I've heard the word "immature" thrown around a lot, and there's a difference between being mature and having a stick up your ass. As long as it's not something that's overall mean spirited and pointless there's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun, just as long as you know how to get serious when you have to. But if you're talking about the former, then yes, I understand completely.
