Yeah, it's empty unless there's a car parked in it or an ankle-deep puddle of mud that forces me to step on the grass. Other than that it's always empty.Matthew94 said:One would ask why you would walk on the grass when there is a perfectly good path right next to it.
And before you ask, yes, it is empty, it always is.
Except... *gasp* When there isn't! I'd gladly show you my city, every other year we change the way traffic works around here even though nobody actually knows what the fuck they are doing (I'm actually convinced they just throw darts at a map and say "this street's traffic should now run in the opposite way!"), we have green lights for pedestrians that mean "you might get run over if you cross here because there are cars with green light too - sorry about that".
Or maybe you could explain why would I sit on the middle of a path like a moron in a park. Or why would I stop when the path ends. Or why would I take a huge detour to follow a path when there's just 10m of grass separating me from my destination.
It's grass, I won't die from walking on it. If it doesn't say "Do not step on the grass" I am entitled to step on the grass. It's my right.
And I specially hate when it rains I have to step on mud, which cloaks dog shit. Mud is almost self-cleaning and doesn't smell, crap is the opposite. It's either on the muddy sidewalk, or in the grass I am forced to step on. Total Catch-22.
