I would love to see a stealth based game around escaping east germany to the west after WWII.
I can dream.
I can dream.
I've actualy done exactly that, minus the mini-game in a mod for Mount and Blade: Warband.Spineyguy said:First person shooter set during the Napoleonic era.

Yeah but you just know that after a thousand years at most the story would turn to some message about the inherent value of mortality and how only through death can we truly appreciate life or some bull.Father Time said:I was thinking more of a really powerful fast forward button.Shoelip said:If you could travel between eras in time wouldn't you be more of a well... time traveler?Father Time said:Assuming you have some sort of fast travel system between eras, that game could be awesome.LiudvikasT said:I would like to see a game where you would play as an immortal human, living through the whole history of mankind and changing history to your own desires.
Someone please steal this idea.
I think that's one of the most interesting ideas for a game I've heard on here in a while.
An option pops up "Would you like to skip the next 50 years and go directly to era X?"
And no rewind option.
Wasn't there a gigantic free-roam mode as well?Shoelip said:It's not much like GTA at all. Linear and mission based. Mafia 2 on the other hand seems to be trying really hard to be a GTA clone.Auxiliary said:Ever played the first Mafia?Matrixbeast said:A GTA That takes place during Prohibition era.
I've often wondered about that myself. Though since World War 1 was pretty stagnant (on the Western Front anyways) I wonder if the game would be a little too linear and repetitive.fenderstrat said:a world war 1 fps would be nice...
Amen! Survive with only the most basic tools and witness the invention of fire, hunting and (those putting together) the BBQ.kman123 said:Stone ages. It would be BADASS.
Yeah but it was just a mode. It basically just let you run around the city and wilderness with no missions until you died.Auxiliary said:Wasn't there a gigantic free-roam mode as well?Shoelip said:It's not much like GTA at all. You'll excuse me if I reserve judgement until such a time as I can be bothered to shell out for M&B, then find your mod, and while I was being facetious, I can sort of see how it could work.ThePirateMan said:I've actualy done exactly that, minus the mini-game in a mod for Mount and Blade: Warband.Spineyguy said:First person shooter set during the Napoleonic era.

It was surprisingly fun.
Inherent value of mortality? There is none! I just suggested this, as I assume it would be fun watching world change as the time goes by. It would probably best be implemented as interactive fiction, as the main reason of the game would be choices you make, everything else just a filler.Shoelip said:Yeah but you just know that after a thousand years at most the story would turn to some message about the inherent value of mortality and how only through death can we truly appreciate life or some bull.Father Time said:I was thinking more of a really powerful fast forward button.Shoelip said:If you could travel between eras in time wouldn't you be more of a well... time traveler?Father Time said:Assuming you have some sort of fast travel system between eras, that game could be awesome.LiudvikasT said:I would like to see a game where you would play as an immortal human, living through the whole history of mankind and changing history to your own desires.
