This cheers me up immensely, my silver version keeps losing it's save file.

Silver and Gold was easily the best in the series, it had special pokeballs, berries, day and night, 16 gyms, a battle against Red, and the new pokemon they introduced weren't completely retarded.

Mixed emotions here. Part of me is thinking, "Gamefreak, you fools, remakes never gross as well as you want them to; and where's the innovation?"

But then the other part of me compares the species designs through the years, and I'm relatively happy they stopped scraping the barrel for more failiures.

Or even worse, Pokemon Snap. :/
Pokemon whatnow? Quit making up games son. Next you'll be saying that there was a game called "Hey You Pikachu."

To be on topic, this is good news! Everyone at my dorm will likely get this :D

Well, the names kinda suck, but if the games are still good, who really cares? I mean, the name "Pokemon" is pretty strange to begin with, but I'm willing to compromise.

My pity goes to anyone still getting worked up about the name.

The remake is called heart Gold?

Okay, that's one point off, but still, I'm sure this game will rock. Nostalgia will drown out any problems it has.

I think that those names fail.
I'm pretty sure you fail. What would've you come up with? I'm not gonna say I could do ir better, but they're Japanese for Christ sakes. It's not their fault.

DSi? If it;s for the DSi then obviously it's gonna be for the rest of the DS consoles. so therefore, why not buy it? I mean, gold and silver were nice, and I barely remember anything about them anyway, haha. Soul silver for me!

I will not be buying these, because I came up with the greatest way to play all the Pokemon games. Play any single one of the games, from Red to Platinum and you've just about played every single game.

If this is some sort of ploy to see if I'll buy the games then they're sadly misconstrued.
Has Gamefreak's President gotten any shrapnel lodged in his brain, because I was familiar that the only good games of the series have long since passed and the gameplay additions continue to distance itself from what made the game great.
Too bad the Pokemon games have only gotten better over time.

Holy crap. A remake of the best 2 games in the series. I guess they wised up.
Thank you! Finally someone can see past the first three games and realize that those two were the best! I have over 130 hours on Gold, and it's all because of:

--250 Pokémon
--16 gyms
--Elite Four and a battle with "Red/Ash/the guy" at the end

That game was so goddamn good. #5 in my top five games of all time.

Actually, it's an abbreviation of the Japanese name "Pocket Monsters." Which, when you think about it makes a great deal of sense. Sorry, couldn't help myself. I a was born in Japan and I grew up on the stuff so...

That's funny, I thought the new games were clones of the last couple games with a new face and more gimmicks. It's nice that they're remaking some of their first (and arguably best) titles for the franchise, but it'd be nicer if they released a sequel without rehashing the same plot and gameplay.
