Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

Aari walked over to Magnus & Jeffery. For once, Jeffery was wrong and he lost.
Surprisingly enough, Jeffery?s temper hadn?t got the best of him. The three of them walked around the field looking for Rodney, Quillz and Daisy beside them.

?Hey guys, we should wrap this one up. I?m really hungry? Jeffery said.

?Yeah? Aari & Magnus agreed.

After collecting everyone they went to the fence, only to be met by the merchant.

?I?m sorry but my sons love to battle and they?d appreciate it if you battled them?

?What? How old are they?? Rodney replied, swapping looks with Aari.

?21, 17, 14. Please, I swear. I?ll even have my wife cook for you? the merchant pleaded.

Aari leaned against the fence and tied her laces. She stood up when the merchant coughed. She stood, looking at the merchant before Rodney asked:

?What Pokémon do they use??

?Jack, the eldest, uses his Charizard. Ben, the youngest uses his Ninetails and Jason uses his Magmar. We?re a pretty good team.? The merchant said.

?Well?? Jeffery started..

"why not I mean hey free meal even if we lose right" Jeffery asked feeling a growling in his stomach.

"yes even if you lose my sons are eager for a battle will you do it" the merchant asked hope in his eyes.

"I already said we would but yeah we`ll do it" Jeffery responded. he then turned back to the group and said:
"I call the one with the ninetails only because the trainer`s around my age"

"fine but I`m bored and want to battle so I`l take the eldest" magnus said back to jeffery.

"well that just leaves the middle child who`s gonna battle him" Jeffery asked posing an open question to the group

?Can I do it?? Aari said, hoping for them to say yes.

?I haven?t battled properly with Daisy and he is my age? she continued.

Jeffery & Magnus looked at each other. They weren?t too keen on letting her battle but allowed it.

?Alright then Aari, its us three against the merchants sons? Jeffery laughed.

The group followed the merchant to his house. It was more of a cabin but it was nice. Behind the house was a huge hall where the battles commenced. Something about the hall wasn?t right, but Aari couldn?t get her finger on it. Rodney butted in:

?Hey, merchant, can I battle you then?? he said, grinning widely.

?Sure thing, son? the merchant said, he looked more like a farmer or a cowboy.

The gang walked into the hall and sat down. The merchant went to go get his sons.
They looked at the small piece of paper that they had been given. Jeffery was up first, then Aari and then Magnus. It went in order of age. The merchants? wife came down to announce the rules.

?Okay dears, these are the rules: It is a one on one battle. Each contender can use two Pokémon but only one at a time. Ben came down and greeted Jeffery. They took their stances and prepared to fight.

"okay time to be flattened and thrown like a discus" Jeffery yelled to the trainer finally getting the chance to face someone younger than him.
"oh it is on" Ben the merchant`s son yelled across to him.
"LET`S GO" Jeffery and Ben yelled in unison Ben letting out his ninetails and Jeffery having his lucario jump in front of him.
"lucario quick attack" lucario bolted off so fast he was practically invisible but suddenly he reappeared in front of ninetails and slammed into him sending him back a little.
"ninetails confuse ray" Ben yelled ninetails then fired a small beam from it`s mouth.
"lucario dodge it" lucario just barely dodged the attack having to roll out of the way leaving him open.
"ninetails ember" nintetails fired a stream of little fires each of them hitting lucario in succession causing him to roll away backwards from where he was.
"lucario get up and dark pulse" lucario shakily got up and fired dark energy from his hands hitting ninetails right in the the throat.
"ninetails quick attack" ninetails started off but paused midway flinching.
"bout time that worked lucario quick attack into a metal claw" lucario bolted off disappeared and reappeared in front of ninetails his fist glowing like metal lucario then uppercuted ninetails sending the four legged Pokemon into the air.
"we got him now lucario jump up and toss him down" Jeffery yelled, lucario jumped up and grabbed ninetails by his middle tail whipping it over his head and throwing it to the ground sending ninetails crashing down creating a small crater at the sight of impact knocking nietails out.
"ninetails in unable to battle winner of round one Jeffery" the merchant`s wife yelled.
"I`l get you back for that" Ben said putting his ninetails back in his pokeball
"GO GOLBAT" Ben yelled throwing his pokeball releasing a fine looking golbat with a shiny coat.
"ohhh pretty golbat is it gonna give me make-up tips" Jeffery joked.
"no it`s gonna kick your lucario`s ass" Ben retorted
"yeah if I was stupid enough to use lucario c`Mon lucario get back" jeffery shouted knowing full well that lucario would be screwed if he tried to fight a flying type Pokemon.
"fine i`m done for the day anyway" lucario said cooly as he walked back to sit with the others.
"GO CHARMANDER" Jeffery yelled throwing out his pokeball releasing charmander who was pumped and was hoping up and down ready to fight.
"golbat wing attack" Ben yelled golbat swooping out of the air diving for an attack it`s wings spread wide.
"charmander duck under it" charmander did as he was told and ducked his tail sticking upwards golbat tried to avoid hitting charmanders tail but it was too late golbat slammed straight into charmanders tail fire burning it.
"now charmander jump at golbat and scratch" charmander jumped at the dazed golbat and scratched at it but the golbat was just barely able to dodge it with charmander just barely grazing it still in mid-air Ben yelled:
"Golbat bite charmanders tail" golbat did as he was told and bit into charmanders tail gripping it tightly and causing charmander to scream in pain
"golbat do what lucario did to ninetails and throw him down" golbat swung charmander in a circle and threw him down to the ground creating a cloud of dust and a crater upon impact.
"BOO-YAH not so tough now are ya" Ben yelled him and his golbat thinking this was over.
Jeffery pressed his hand against his forehead "god damn amateurs never learn to wait for the judge`s call" Jeffery pulled his up re-focusing on the battle "charmander flamethrower" charmander shot out of the crater surprising golbat and fired a huge blast of fire hitting golbat directly in the chest.
"charmander again" charmander fired another blast of fire golbat just barely dodged it.
"Again" Jeffery yelled charmander fired anoter blast of fire the result was the same as last time.
"another flamethrower charmander" Jeffery yelled hoping to wear down golbat,charmander fired blasts of fire golbat just barely dodging each one after about ten minutes of dodging golbat was exhausted.
Jeffery seeing this knew this was the time to strike.
"charmander flame thrower" charmander fired a final blast of fire hitting golbat square in the chest knocking it down low but still off the ground slightly.
"charmander slash" charmander charged at golbat hitting it with it`s claws knocking it completely on the ground and knocking it out.
"golbat is unable to battle the winner is charmander the victor is Jeffery" the judge yelled.
"WOOOO" Jeffery yelled locking his hand together above his head and making a soft roaring noise.
"aw screw you" Ben shouted at Jeffery throwing his poke-ball to collect golbat.
"well screw you too i was gonna say that,that was a fun battle but if you`re gonna be a prick about it then I won`t" Jeffery sharply said throwing his poke-ball to collect charmander. Jeffery then walked back to where the others were sitting
"good battle Jeffery I was a little bit impressed that you knew to switch out lucario for charmander" magnus said moving over to give him a seat.
"thanks uh Aari i think it`s your turn Jeffery said sitting down and pointing to the other side of the battlefield where the middle child Jason was waiting for his opponent.
"thanks Jeff" Aari said getting up and going over to the opposite end of the battlefield preparing for her battle.

Ooc: Guys I think before we get to charmeleons with fire blast we should cool down on the high level moves on low level monsters. Also could I get a rough lvl. estimate? mine are as follows Chompers:30 Speedy: 21 (or just after when ratatta evolve) Faith: 15 Sparks: 20 and Blaze: 13. Again just rough.

Rodney although shot he couldn't use Chompers against all these fire pokemon decided watching how his friends battled was the second best thing. He had learned thus far that Jeffrey battles in a style all too similar to his personality, headstrong and reckless. Rodney enjoyed the prospect of evaluating how Aari and Magnus fought now.

Ooc: When was Adam Jenson's last post? I'm sure he said he was going somewhere.

Ooc: I can understand Lucario to a point but you just caught Charmander and you hardly use Machop how could they be so high?

OOC:hmmm i guess machop should be lower thanks for pointing that out but when i caught charmander it was an even fight so lucario`s and charmanders level would be around the same and remember Jeffery had already traveled most of shinnoh with riolu only evolved when it was happy so it was already close to that level before it evolved.

Guys, at this point in the games your pokemon would be like less than level 25 or so, so consider that. This is only right after Cerulean. Also, TYF, a charmander would have evolved at lvl 16... and there wouldn't be this high level Pokemon at such a low level route.

Quillz: 26 (She has known Flame Wheel since birth, thank you egg moves.)

Chompers: 27 ( at level thirty it would have just evolved)

Lucario: 28 (around when my riolu evolved into a lucario when I played Pearl)

Magnus watched as Jeffrey successfully defeated the Trainer Ben. It was Aari's turn next, hopefully she would be able to do well against such supposedly skilled trainers.

"Great battle Jeffrey," Magnus told him. "I was surprised when you were smart enough to switch out Lucario for Charmander."

"Thanks Magnus," Jeffrey responded. "Hey!"

"I'm only kidding." Magnus looked at Charmander carefully, he knelt down and looked at its teeth, its claws, and its flame. "You have a good specimen of a Charmander here. I wouldn't be surprised if it was going to evolve soon."

"Really, ya think so? That would be pretty cool."

"Hey guys, Aari's about to battle!" Rodney interrupted and pointed out the battlefield. "Let's watch."

Magnus stood on the sidelines and watched as Aari stood at her side of the field, waiting to battle.

"ahhh well screw you anyway" Jeffery said to magnus pissed that he complimented him and then took it back for no discoverable reason.

"sorry man" magnus said back to Jeffery.
"eh it`s cool" Jeffery said sitting down in the crude bleachers set up next to the battlefield.
"hey is it just me or does every single person have a battlefield set up in their back yards I mean I see a lot of these things now days" Jeffery commented with his hand pressed against his chin and his arm pressed against his leg.
"well battling is popular what with the ability to destroy your opponents" magnus retorted. not taking his eyes off the battle that was about to commence.

Aari stood firmly at her place, Daisy by her side and Togepi in her hands. Jason looked eager to battle and his mother told them the rules.

?Each contender has two Pokémon; therefore both trainers can return a Pokémon and substitute with their other Pokémon. Once both Pokémon are KO?d, the other trainer wins? The merchants wife said, smiling at Aari?s Togepi.

?What??? Aari said, worried. ?I can?t battle with Togepi? she yelled. ?Oh god?

Aari looked at Magnus and Rodney; they looked at her until Rodney softly said:

?I think you have to?

Aari stomped her foot in frustration before letting Togepi onto the field. He danced and laughed with joy. Jason laughed and sent out his Bulbasaur. It grunted at Togepi.
Togepi continued to dance around and playfully shout at Bulbasaur, this only made matters worse.

?Let the battle commence?

?Bulbasaur, tackle? Jason yelled, a smirk on his face.

The strong looking Bulbasaur charged at Togepi. Togepi clapped his fingers and charged back at the Bulbasaur, matching its attack and they engaged in a grapple.

?What was that?? Aari yelled, slightly relieved.

?I think Togepi just used Metronome? Magnus yelled to her.

Togepi giggled at his strength and pushed forward playfully. The Bulbasaur stumbled backwards until it was greeted with a fall. Togepi rejoiced and clapped his fingers again.
This time he let out a yellow wave that just missed the Bulbasaur as it dodged it.

?Damn it. Why do we underestimate these things?? Jason yelled. ?Use vine whip?

The Bulbasaur let out a vine that chased Togepi along with field; it grew stronger as it grew further which worried Aari.

?Alright, I substitute Togepi? Aari yelled causing the Bulbasaur to stop his attack.

Aari picked up Togepi and sighed. She turned to Daisy and signalled her to take to the field. Daisy glared at Bulbasaur and started to rejoice. Miltanks didn?t like battling but Daisy didn?t mind.

?See how you handle this one? Aari laughed. Her hair whipped back against the wind.

?Bulbasaur, use razor leaf? Jason commanded.

The sharp leaves flew directly at Daisy. They hit her big belly causing zero damage. Aari giggled and told Daisy to use Rollout. Daisy jumped into a raging ball of Miltank and spun directly at Bulbasaur knocking it into the wall. Daisy continued to circle the field, growing stronger with her speed. She eventually hit Bulbasaur again, knocking him out.

?Bulbasaur is no longer able to battle. Aari and her Miltank win this round? The judge said.

?Hm. Beat this! I choose, Magmar!? Jason yelled releasing his lava bound Pokémon.

Daisy, still spinning rolled in front of Magmar and sent it flying back. Aari didn?t need to command Daisy; she knew exactly how to defeat her opponents.

?Magmar, use Heat Blast!? Jason yelled.

Magmar sent a scorching beam at the rolling Daisy. It did nothing but disappeared. Daisy was spinning too fast for it to be hurt. Daisy rammed into Magmar sending him flying through the wall behind Jason. Jason ran screaming to Magmar whilst Aari was declared winner.

?Wow?? she breathed.

Ooc: *Breathe of relief.* My longest too

"Alright, I'm up next," Magnus stated. "Jack, let's go."

"Someone's eager." Jack responded. "Alright let's do this."

The two walked onto the field, exchanged glances and began the battle.

"Arbok, I choose you!" Jack called forth an Arbok, one that had something unique about it. It was dark gold rather than purple, and the eye-marks on its neck were blue instead of red.

"Impressive, an alternate color Pokemon." Magnus mused. "A genetic rarity, and a prize among collectors. Let's see if it can battle. Go Quake!" Magnus called out his Wooper. Both Pokemon stared at each other, awaiting their Trainer's command.

"Begin!" The Merchant's wife shouted.

"Alright Arbok, use Poison Sting!" The Arbok shot poisonous barbs from its mouth, headed towards Quake.

"Quake, use Mud Shot." With a blast of mud, the barbs were caught and fell to the ground harmlessly.

"Hmm, let's try this then. Arbok, Crunch!" The Pokemon lunged at Quake, it's jaws wide open.

"Quake, use Mud Bomb!" A large gob of mud blasted from its mouth and went into the mouth of the Arbok, who hacked and coughed at the taste.

"Now Quake, use Slam!" The Wooper slammed its tail against the Arbok's head, knocking it out. It began to glow white and then grew in size.

"Quagsire...." Quake slapped its tail on the ground and let out its cry.

"Alright, well done Arbok." Jack called back the snake Pokemon into its pokeball. "Charizard, let's show them we mean business." He sent out a ferocious Charizard onto the field.

"Quake, use Water Gun!" The jet of water sprayed the Charizard, doing some good damage.

"Alright Charizard, use Dragon Claw!" The draconic Fire Pokemon flew at Quake and clawed at Quake, dealing severe damage.

"Water Gun, once more!" Quake sprayed Charizard with another blast of water, but the Charizard still did not falter.

"Wing Attack, and let's be done with this." The Charizard flew through the Water Gun and struck Quake with its powerful wings, knocking out the Quagsire.

"Return Quake," Magnus beamed back the Pokemon. "Quillz, lets show him what we're made of!" Magnus sent out his Quilava, who sent up her flames ferociously at hissed at the Charizard.

"Quillz, use Swift!" The star-shaped beam shot from her mouth and struck Charizard in the air, sending it back to the ground.

"Charizard, Flamethrower." A firey blast shot from the Charizard's mouth and flew towards Quillz.

"Flame Wheel!" Quillz curled up and burst into flames, going through the flames and escaping unharmed.

"Charizard, use Dragon Claw." Charizard slashed at Quillz, who just managed to dodge it. "Now, Flamethrower!" A burst of flame shot towards Quillz.

"Quillz Ember!" Flames shot out of her mouth, but instead of Ember, a steady stream of flames came forth. Quillz had learned Flamethrower, and hers was an equal to Charizard's, partially thanks to the Azalea Charcoal.

"Quillz, Rollout!" She let down her flames and spun round and round, striking at the Charizard, and each time the strength gaining.

"Charizard, finish this. Flamethrower!" A blast of flame emanated from its mouth, striking Quillz, who let up her flames in respnse and let them back down once no longer engulfed.

"Rollout, and hit'em hard!" Quillz in her spin rolled back at the Charizard and struck it in the face. With a roar the Charizard fainted.

"The winner is Magnus!" The Merchant's wife announced. Magnus walked over to Jack and shook his hand gladly.

"You did amazingly, I almost thought that I would lose for a minute." Magnus said to Jack.

"You did pretty damn well yourself." Jack complimented Magnus "Not many people can beat a Charizard like that."

With an exhausted sigh he walked over to Quillz and patted her on the head. He returned her to her pokeball and went to go sit on the grass. He took out the egg and held it, it was warm and smooth, and it moved from the inside occasionally. He held the egg in his arms and rested.

A CHALLENGER APPROACHES!

Name: Lance
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Skills: Incredibly Intellegent
Personality: Ignorant and superior
Hometown: A small town on the outskirts of Saffron City
Starter and how you met it: Kadabra: He found an Abra sleeping by a tree in a forest near his town. When he approached he saw that it was in-fact nearly dead. He took it back to his home where his father (a pokemon breeder) healed the Abra nearly instantly with a potion of his own design. Over time the Abra evolved into a Kadabra.
Pokemon in party: Kadabra (named Psi), an egg, given to him by his father (Lance doesn't know what pokemon will hatch from it) and a Primape (named Fist), which he accidentally caught, when a Pokeball fell from his pocket.
Bio: Lance grew up with pokemon all his life, his father was a pokemon breeder, and his mother was a Pokemon show co-ordinator. Lance dreams of breeding the perfect show pokemon.
Money: $1000 (prize money from a show won with Psi)
Equipment: A few of his father's potions which he calls "X-potions", 3 pokeballs, food for a week.

Lance was wandering aimlessly through town when he saw a group of battles going on. Wanting to show off, he quickly engaged the closest trainer.

The trainer (Nameless) called out "Go! Wartortle!
Thinking of the pros and cons of his situation, Lance made a decision and cried "Go! Psi!

Staring at each other, waiting for their trainers commands, the pokemon circled.
Suddenly the trainer yelled "Wartortle! Use Hydro Pump!"
Lance quickly yelled "Psi! Use mirror coat!"

Wartortle let loose a huge torrent of water heading straight towards Psi, when suddenly Psi was coated in a rainbow glow, which reflected the water straight back to Wartortle.

"Good!" Lance yelled, "Follow up with Psychic!" Psi closed his eyes and concentrated, and suddenly Wartortle was hit by an invisible force "Good! Finish him with psybeam!" Psi pulled out the bending spoon that all Kadabras carried and channeling his energy through it, he let loose a huge rainbow beam, striking the Wartortle in the chest.

"That was to quick" thought Lance to himself.
The trainer refused to admit defeat so called "Go! Umbreon!"
Lance did not change his Pokemon but just stood there smiling.
"Umbreon! Use crunch!"
Lance suddenly yelled "Psi! Use Baton Pass!" Psi suddenly did a strange thing, closing his eyes and focusing, then suddenly dissapearing back into his Pokeball.
"Go! Fist!" The Primape burst from his Pokeball, absolutely seething with rage.
"Fist! Use Megaton Punch!" Fist ran full speed at the Umbreon, but suddenly the umbreon dodged and sent a hyper beam towards Fist. It hit the ground behind him, but it was still enough to knock Fist off his feet and sent flying into the air. Fist did a sudden mid-air flip, recovering in time to dodge a second hyper beam.
"Fist! Finish it now! Use Submission!" Fist jumped full speed into the air and launched himself down towards Umbreon, but the Umbreon suddenly jumped, avoiding the attack.
The enemy trainer looked pleased until he looked up and saw that Lance was smiling.

"Now Fist! Use Seismic Toss!" Fist jumped into the air with his powerful legs and grappled the Umbreon throwing it down onto the ground.
With the Umbreon knocked out, Lance was the winner.

"Good fight" Lance said to the other trainer.
"Good fight" the trainer agreed.
The group of battlers saw Lance, and walked over

OOC:nay it`s kind of rude for him to come barging in here when the title clearly says spots closed and we kind of have a lot of people as is .oh and the last story event is that we just finished fighting the merchant`s sons.

Ooc: Well, considering the lack of posts by Adam Jenson, I think this ?Lance? character could help us run more smoothly. Maybe make him a rival though. Alright, I say I, but it was quite rude and probably won't be tolerated with the whole ''No spots availabe''
