Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

Aari turned to Rodney.

?I don?t like ghost Pokémon and I?m sure Togepi would be scared so I?ll wait outside. I?ll find a park or something? She said, turning her back and walking off.

She sat on a bench outside and played with Togepi. The sun shun against her face causing Aari to resort to wearing sun glasses. She laughed and put her head back.

Rodney then thought seriously for a moment after watching Aari leave he asked Magnus "With all the rockets out are you going to catch Red?, I'm there efforts against us are going to be doubled with a alternative colour pokemon around"

"Wait, you've got the Rockets after you?" Joel said with surprise. "Oh well, that actually makes me think that you guys are definitely on the side of good."

Rodney didn't like to think about it much but the easiest way for Joel to know who they were were these words "Cerulean...Beach...Brawl"

Rodney looked no where in particular the called Chompers to his side "You guys coming or what?"

Jeffery, magnus,Rodney and Joel all stood outside the cemetery Jeffery leaned in to examine the sign.
"something something ghost Pokemon yada yada yada" Jeffery said leaning in at the sign he then hopped over the chain that was holding it up not waiting for the others.
Jeffery walked around the cemetery looking at all the various graves he saw one for a man named mi wang.
"heh" Jeffery chuckled continuing to look around for any sign of Pokemon he crept around the graves until finally spotting a mausoleum in the distance he walked up to it and pushed at the rusty door it did not open after trying unsuccessfully with opening the normal way he walked back a few paces and slammed into it, the door swinging wide open with five zubat`s flying out Jeffery fell backwards he picked himself up from the ground and looked inside, inside he saw a ghastly trying to hide in the dark.
"gotcha" Jeffery muttered taking the pokeball containing charmander from his belt he dropped the pokeball on the ground releasing charmander.
"charmander dragon rage" charmander let out waves of purple flames hitting the ghastly knocking it onto the ground it floated back to it`s original position and retaliated with a confuse ray hitting charmander in the face knocking him back and leaving enough room for the ghastly to fly out the mausoleum door and through the rows of graves charmander staggered back to it`s feet the confuse ray only making it a little dizzy.
"I`m not gonna let this one go" Jeffery then put charmander back in his pokeball and sprinted off after the ghastly leaping over the graves as if they were hurdles. he slowly started to catch up the mist making it impossible to see clearly in front of him he saw the ghastly in the distance Jeffery started to move even faster but suddenly the ghastly disappeared Jeffery ran as fast as he could still leaping over the headstones but the reason the ghastly disappeared was because it had went through a wall a fact which became apparent to Jeffery when he slammed directly into it falling backwards the ghastly bobbed his head out the wall looked at Jeffery and cackled before vanishing back inside Jeffery got to his feet, absolutely angry that the ghastly had the gall to laugh at him he stormed around the outside of the building looking for a door to get in.

Joel laughed at the spectacle that had unfolded before him. "This looks like it is going to be a fun group to be with," thought Joel. He felt a tugging on the bottom of his shirt, "Tortle, Wartortle, War, War." Wartortle was pointing to a gravestone. "Really," said Joel, "lets go have a look." "Joel and wartortle went off to look and behind a gravestone marked Marowak, Joel found a small Cubone crying softly. He had a small cut on his arm, and Joel became both excited because he found a Cubone and sad at the apparently sad pokemon who missed his mom.

"Are you ok?" Joel asked the Cubone softly.

"Cubone, Cu, Bone, Bone," said the cubone, trying feebly to lift its bone club. "Here, let me treat that cut," said Joel pulling out some salve from his side pouch. The Cubone looked into Joel's face and and realised he could trust him. Joel applied the paste of herbs to the cut and wrapped the cut in a cloth bandage.

"Does that feel better?" asked Joel. "Cubone, Cubone, Cubone," said the Cubone, moving his arm around excitedly. The Cubone stood up and walked over to Joel and pressed the button on one of the empty pokeballs on his belt.

"Wait, what are you doing?" asked Joel, with a really surprised look on his face. The pokeball expanded and a red light covered the Cubone and she was absorbed into the ball. Now, the feeling of a pokemon "struggling" in a pokeball on your belt is odd and something Joel never wanted to experience again.

"Now, why did she do that?" Joel asked Wartortle. "Wartortle, Wartortle, Wartortle, Tortle, Tortle" said Wartortle with an unmistakable air of authority. "You think she latched onto me because she lost her mom and I was being nice to her?" asked Joel, "The poor thing, I guess we'll talk to her after she has had time to rest."

"Let's go back over to the group, Ace" said Joel as he and Ace walked back over to the group.

Magnus saw Jeffrey running after a Gastly, and he saw Joel 'catch' a small Cubone. He saw a few more Ghost Pokemon floating about, attempting to scare people. In the distance, he saw Trevor running towards them, slightly out of breath when he reached them.

"What's up Trevor?" Magnus asked. "Is something the matter?"

"No, nothing's wrong." He said smilingly. "In fact, everything is right. I got a job at the Radio Tower! You're looking at Trevini and Roz, Kanto's newest DJs."

"That's amazing, congratulations!" Rodney told Trevor.

"Yeah, I just wanted to wish you guys luck on your journey, seeing as I can't go with you anymore."

"Well, that's too bad." Magnus said, slightly depressed. "Good luck to you too, maybe we'll meet again in the future."

"Maybe, but until then, the Amazing Trevini will now make himself disappear." Rosgry tossed smoke pellets on the ground, and when the smoke dissipated they were gone.

"There goes a good man, isn't that right Rodney?" Magnus asked.

"Yeah, we'll miss him and his sense of humour. Aww, look at that, Red is asleep."

Magnus looked and saw that indeed the baby Pokemon was asleep in his arms. Carefully, Magnus pulled out one of his pokeballs and beamed the baby inside it. With very little jiggling, the ball pinged and Magnus placed it on his belt.

Joel came walking up to Magnus, "Hey Magnus, why would a pokemon intentionally let itself be caught or even catch itself? Ace thinks she was lonely, but I'm thinking maybe a second opinion would be in order. You seem to know a lot about pokemon."

Jeffery maneuvered around the building still as angry as hell, looking for a door he eventually found one. A big door with a brass handle he was surprised to find that the door opened with relative ease instead of being rusty and impossible to open. He entered the building it being some kind of mass grave site he felt chills run up and down his spine as he entered his stubbornness making it impossible to just leave and find another Pokemon he let charmander out from his pokeball the tail fire providing a source of light in the dimly hit hall.
"here ghastly come out,come out wherever you are" Jeffery called out in an attempt to lure the ghastly out he looked around walking past the graves he spotted a purple flame flicker in the distance,Jeffery quickly put charmander back in his pokeball and he started to run to the source of the purple flame thinking it was a ghastly he bolted as fast as he could until he reached the back of the hall the purple flame had disappeared.
"fuck and I almost had it" Jeffery yelled kicking the ground. he then heard a maniacal laugh again thinking it was a ghastly he ran after it but found nothing again he was exhausted he slumped against the wall tired his breathing heavy but behind him he felt a chill thinking it was the cold wall he disregarded it but slowly the chill grew more intense he ignored too tired to even move from the wall but then a ghastly passed straight through him sending a shiver through his body the ghastly did not notice Jeffery and was completely unaware Jeffery slowly got up from the wall and crouched behind the ghastly who was sitting there in thought of how it was going to trick someone else Jeffery released charmander from his pokeball the sound alerted the ghastly who floated away.
"charmander dragon rage" charmander fired purple flames hitting the ghastly in the back knocking it to the ground.
"charmander ember" charmander fired small flames from his mouth knocking the ghastly to the ground again ghastly realizing it could`nt run anymore turned to fight it charged straight at charmander giving it an uppercut with it`s tongue ghastly giggled and turned to float away
"charmander dragon rage" charmander shot purple flames from it`s mouth hitting ghastly in the face knocking it down ghastly looked injured Jeffery seizing the opportunity took out a pokeball and threw it at the ghastly beaming it inside the ball wiggled on the ground Jeffery dived in front of it his eye level with the flashing red dot he panicked as the pokeball wriggled for what seemed like hours but was only a couple of minutes the ball the settled and the flashing stopped Jeffery picked up his new Pokemon with pride in his eyes.
"I JUST CAUGHT ME A GHASTLY" Jeffery yelled his voice echoing throughout the hall he turned to congratulate charmander but was shocked to find that charmander had dropped to the ground and was glowing white slowly he grew bigger with and then the glowing stopped and charmander was a now a charmeleon Jeffery ran to hug charmeleon embracing him in his arms.
"you can get off me now" said a gruff voice.
"holy crap man was that you" Jeffery asked shocked.
"who`d you expect it to be officer jenny" charmeleon responded sarcastically.
"sweet let`s go" Jeffery said beaming charmeleon into his pokeball and walking out of the hall.

"Well," Magnus responded to Joel's question. "I suppose it could be any number of things; loneliness, fear, adventure, or just that being a Trainer's Pokemon is more likely to have you survive than being in the wild. Seeing as the Cubone you have is still young, and it felt as if it needed something to take its mother's place, which was you. So yeah... I guess it was loneliness. I caught my Quagsire, Quake, when it was a Wooper, completely by accident."

"Really?" Joel asked. "How'd you manage that?"

"Well, he started digging through my backpack and found a pokeball. He must've thought it was edible, because he took a bite of it and got himself caught. I must say though, he's quite a dependable Pokemon, and he adds a nice balance to my party."

"Well, thanks for the second opinion."

"No problem Joel. Anything for a friend." Magnus thought for a moment and then asked: "Hey Joel, what are your plans after Lavender town? If you don't have any... then I'd like to officially welcome you to our group as another travel companion... If you don't mind travelling in a group, that is."

"That sounds like a really cool idea. What do you think Ace?" said Joel. "Wartortle, Wartortle!!" "I guess that would be a yes Magnus, we'd be delighted to travel with you guys" said Joel grinning broadly.

"Where are you guys headed anyways?"

"Awesome," Magnus said. "Welcome to our little entourage. Right now... we're headed towards Celadon City." Magnus smiled as he made another new friend, then something caught his eye. Playing amongst the graves was a group of Vulpix. They were playing something that looked like a game of tag with each other. One particular one, a Male, was the largest of the group and seemed to be winning.

"Quake, come on out!" Magnus called forth his Quagsire, who beamed out of the pokeball with a smile. "Quake, use Water Gun on that Vulpix." Magnus pointed at the one he wanted to capture. Quake complied and sent a blast of water from its mouth, which the Vulpix dodged almost immediately. The Vulpix sent out a circle of white flames from its tail, which rotated around it and then sent them flying towards Quake, striking and burning him.

"That was some Will'o'Wisp. Quake, use Mud Shot!" Quake sprayed mud at the fox Pokemon, slowing it down and hurting it. "Now Slam!" Quake jumped forward, attempting to Slam the Vulpix, but was met with a Flamethrower to the face.

"Quake! Use Water Gun!" The blast of water hit the Vulpix head on. "Alright pokeball, don't fuck this up." Magnus tossed the pokeball and hit the Vulpix, absorbing it into the capsule mechanism. It vibrated and struggled, but it eventually stopped. Magnus walked over and picked up the ball, having gotten a second new Pokemon today. Magnus walked over and sat back down with Joel. Magnus looked at the ball and thought of a name.

"I'll call you... Reynard."

We should prolly get moving on towards Celadon soon, stormcaller, cut to the PKMN center at night whenever everyone's ready.

"Hmm, well I'm going to head back to the pokemon center to get Q a full check up. I need to make sure she doesn't have any other injuries before we set out to Celadon. I also need to call my parents to get the living room ready for guests." Said Joel

"Wait, why do your parents need to do that?" asked Magnus

"Oh, I'm from Celadon and I thought it would be more comfortable to stay at a real house rather than the pokemon center. We have a decent sized house and a good sized yard where the pokemon can exercise. It's right on the outskirts of Celadon city. My mom loves guests." said Joel as he walked towards the pokemon center.

?Wow, I guess I?m missing all the fun? Aari laughed, walking over to Magnus.

She looked at the smaller group of Vulpix and turned her head to Joel. He was walking to the Pokémon centre. Aari ran ahead of him and turned around. She stood firmly in front of him until she stuck out her hand and smiled.

?I?m Aari, nice to finally meet you. Well, get proper introduced? She said, laughing.

A rather pretty girl about Joel's age was blocking his way to the Pokemon Center pretty much demanding an introduction. Although it was a little weird, she was pretty and did seem to know Magnus. "Sorry, my name is Joel and this little guy is Ace," said Joel grinning and scratching his head while pointing at a Wartortle standing at his side. "Wartortle! Tortle Tortle!" Wartortle chastised. "Sorry, I didn't mean to call you a little guy in front of our new friends," Joel was blushing now. "I've been invited to travel with you guys and luckily enough, probably provide a nice place to sleep in Celadon city. Anyway, I'll have to talk more with you later, as I have a Cubone to get checked out before we leave. See you in a bit," said Joel sheepishly, clearly intimidated by Aari.

Aari felt odd as Joel walked past her. She blushed and Togepi let out a yell of joy. She walked over to a local store and fetched an ice-cream. She paid and gave the ice-cream to Togepi. Aari then took out a poke ball and released Daisy.

?Hey Daisy, want to go battle somewhere?? Aari said, bending down and tying her shoe lace. Daisy nodded and ran off to the small graveyard where Magnus and the others were. She looked around until she found a worthy opponent. A small but strong looking Geodude was sitting on top of some Pokémon?s grave. This enraged Aari slightly but she decided to battle.

?How rude! Daisy, use rollout on that Geodude? She yelled running along with Togepi.

Daisy nodded and turned into a raging ball until she bashed into the Geodude sending it crashing into a small wall and knocking it out instantly. Aari sighed and Daisy returned to her. They walked over to Magnus & Rodney who seemed to be going to the Pokémon centre.

Joel reached the pokemon center, greeting Nurse Joy.

"I was wondering if you could do a check up on this Cubone I just caught. She had a cut on her arm which I dressed, but I want to be sure she is fully ok," said Joel while handing Nurse Joy the pokeball. He then moved to take a seat in front of the video phone to call his mom.

Ring-Ring. Ring-Ring. "Hello," as Joel's Mom's face appeared on the screen, "oh Joel, how are you?" "Hi Mom, I've met some friends and we're eventually going to make our way to Celadon. I just wanted to tell you to be ready. I'll keep you updated with the normal phone. I just thought you might want to see my face." said Joel grinning broadly.

"Wartortle, Wartortle, Totrtlr, Tortle, War." exclaimed Ace as he jumped into the seat, pushing Joel to the ground. "Oh, hello Ace, how are you" asked Joel's mom, stifling a laugh. Ace and Joel's mom, and then Ace and his mom continued there conversation while Joel went to find a seat. After sitting down, Joel pulled a pokeball from his belt and a beam of red light left the ball as a Farfetch'd materialized. "Hi Blade, I just thought you might like a chance to stretch your legs," said Joel to the attentive duck pokemon, "I also think you should meet Q when she gets back. Also, you might want to meet our new traveling companions."

As Joel finished this statement, he heard Nurse Joy exclaim, "come back dear, I was just checking in your ear." "Cubone, bone, Cubone," exclaimed the small Cubone as she came tearing down the hall, made a beeline for Joel and leapt into his arms, crying. "It's ok Q, she was just making sure you were healthy. I'm sorry," said Joel, holding the Cubone tightly in his arms until she quit crying. Nurse Joy finished the examination while Joel held Q, who was still whimpering.

"She has a clean bill of health," exclaimed Nurse Joy, "nice job with the dressing as well, it was very impressive." Thanks said Joel as he offered the small pokemon in his arms an Apple he had pulled from his bag. The Cubone began eating it happily while sitting in Joel's lap.

Ooc: Skipping!

It was late that night and Rodney had been asleep for a few hours. He awoke being violently shook by a young Officer Jenny, still half asleep Rodney didn't quite take this as a bad thing. She screamed at him "Get up! We're evacuating Lavender!" Rodney snapped awake and packed his belongings and woke Chompers who was stretched out between the lower bunk and the floor in his massiveness.

He rushed out into the lobby having forgotten his clothes, it was too late for that and he walked over to his group after pushing through a few crowds.

When he got there he yawned and asked what had happened, Jeffrey cut in first and remarked "I like what your wearing Rod" then bust out in laughter, Aari blushed. Magnus then said "Whether by coincedence or whether we've been tracked the rockets are sacking Lavender."

Joel said "We need to get to Celadon ASAP, the rockets won't know you're staying at my place yet." As the group got outside Rodney saw the horror of what happened, houses set aflame and destroyed by pokemon moves, corpses all over the street. Young old or pokemon it didn't matter to them.

Aari looked at the devastation that the rockets caused. She clenched her fist tightly before clutching the sleeping Togepi closer to her chest. She turned worriedly to the rest of the guys.

?What do we do?? She said. ?Do we run or do we fight?? She finished.

A crashing noise was heard as a nearby building collapsed. This awakened Togepi and he immediately started to cry. Aari held him close to her chest so he couldn?t see the chaos.
