Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

TYF, you were WAAAY late in that post. We had already let Team Rocket leave and the battle between Joel and Magnus had already been over... Fail.
After their battle, Joel healed both his and Magnus's Pokemon with his own special concoctions. Surprisingly, the wounds were healed almost instantly, with all the Pokemon good as new. As the sun began to set, the trainers and Pokemon all went inside.
At dinner, the group talked and laughed and for the first time in what seemed like weeks, truly relaxed.
"..And that's how Ace knows Confusion." Joel Sr. was telling Magnus about the breeding of his Golduck with his wife's Blastoise. "To be honest, we were quite surprised when it hatched being able to move things. I'm not sure how it will work in the future, but hopefully he'll be able to learn more powerful Psychic moves."
"One would hope so..." Magnus replied, his mouth semi-full of food. "It reminds me of Quillz, she was born with the ability to use Flame Wheel. Genetic movesets sure are an interesting thing."
The group ate their fill and when everyone was done and everything clean, the Trainers slipped into various spots around the house to get a good night's sleep.

7:00am the next morning...
A huge black blimp with a large red letter R floated over Celadon City. Once it had reached the center of the city, it along with several others blasted a message across the air.
"Good morning Celadon City... This is Lil' Giovanni, the Leader of Team Rocket. How are you this morning? I've woken you all up with an important request I'd like to make. I'll give you all a few moments to wake up fully."
"MAGNUS!" Brandon came into where Magnus was sleeping. He also had woken up Joel and Aari, and was moving on to the rest of the Trainers. "Turn the TV on... you have to see this!"
Magnus turned on the television and the same message being broadcasted over the air, was also being broadcast over the media as well.
"Good Morning... As you know, we of Team Rocket control Saffron City. Not to mention other cities such as Goldenrod and Jubilife. However, Celadon City has managed to avoid my grasp... Hidden within your city is a group of young Pokemon Trainers. You may recognize them from the Cerulean Beach Brawl, where a few of my employees were murdered. My reports show that they are somewhere within your city, though I do not know where. I am giving you and ultimatum. Either you give up these children and surrender your city to me, and I will let you continue with your lives without much involvement, as I have with Saffron. Or, you can harbor these children, and face the coming fire... The choice is yours... you have 36 hours. Have a nice day."
The screen turned back to the normal news station reporting on the event. Magnus switched the TV off and turned to his friends and allies.
"Well guys..." Magnus said. "The gauntlet has been thrown, and the stakes have been set. Prepare yourselves... for tomorrow, we go to war."
"Yeah..." Rodney added. "All we can do is hope that the people of Celadon are resistant to Team Rocket's demands."
"You don't have to worry..." Joel added. "I already have Erika and the Gym on our side, others will soon follow. And we have those former Rockets, they should prove useful."
"Right..." Magnus clenched his fist in determination. "Everyone get dressed and eat, we're supposed to be going into the City today. I know that Rodney has a badge to win, and I think that I might take a shot at it myself."

"Joel, I talked to the trainers and they're all ready to defend the town to the bitter end," Erika said smiling at Joel and the group, "Lil' Giovanni has another thing coming if he thinks we'll just roll over and let him take our City and our Friends. So, I take it that these are your friends." Erika looked at the group, "My name is Erika and I am the gym leader here in Celadon city. I am very pleased to meet you all."
"Don't worry Joel, your mother and I are going to make the rounds and gather some favors," Joel's dad said smiling reassuringly, "we're going to gather up some of our friends to prepare for tomorrow. You know, take some of the pressure off of Erika."
"Thanks you guys," Joel said hugging both of his parents, "we'll be back later and we'll probably catch lunch in town." Joel turned to the others, "well, I guess you guys get a quick tour of Celadon and the gym. Let's go!."

"I'm very pleased to meet you as well." Magnus said to Erika. "I was wondering if you happen to have time for a couple of matches? I know that Rodney needs a badge from you... and I figured that I might as well try, I could use another good battle."
"I suppose I could squeeze in two battles before lunchtime." Erika said, smiling. "Maybe one before and one after, but I think we can manage. Which one of you boys would like to go first?"

Jared was outside of the gym, starting at the lump in his lap. He let out Nicky and Shelley.

Jared sighed and laid out the contents of the package in front of his Pokemon. In front of Nicky, he placed the Moon Stone that Magnus pointed out to him a while ago. In front of Shelley, he put the Water Stone that he picked up yesterday.
"Now I don't want to force this on you guys, but these stones will..." Jared started before being cut off.
"SHELL!"Yay! Shiny! Mine! Shelley stuck out its tongue and slapped it onto the Water Stone. Immediately, Shellder started glowing and growing bigger until the glow faded away and a Cloyster stood where the tiny Shellder once was.
"Cloyster cloy..."Wow, I'm so not going to fit into the pond now......
"Well, Shelley made her choice. As I was saying, Nicky, I know Team Rocket will be throwing everything they got at us today, and they're going to be tough, and this Moon Stone here, will make you evolve. Now, it's a big step, and like I said, I don't want to force it on ya, I want you to decide what you want to do." Jared finished explaining.
"Nido, nido, ni, nidori, nidonido, ni, ni, ni, nido!"Jared, when you first rescued me from all those Spearow, I swore that one day I would grow up and become big and powerful, and be able to repay you back. This is my chance to fulfill my promise. Of course I will do this. For our allies, for you, and for myself.
Nidorino tapped the Moon Stone, and much like Shellder, began to glow, growing bigger, it's front legs rising off the ground, and as before, the glow faded and Nicky had reached the final level, Nidoking.
"All right, now, I think we're going to show those dang Rockets that you can't beat good old fashioned teamwork. Now, let's get back into the gym. I'm sure Magnus is getting some plans ready for our counter attack."
Jared headed back into the gym, brimming with confidence. Bring it on, Lil G. Bring it on.

Joel let all of his pokemon out of their pokeballs to go play in the gardens or watch the gym battles. Ace and Q decided they wanted to see Magnus and Rodney battle Erika. They ran off to the battle field. Joel, Eve, and Blade set off into the gardens.

"Leafeon, leafy leafy" I agree Joel, you worry to much. You're a good trainer and tomorrow will prove it. Eve said with a mischievous smile. Hey Blade, wanna fight? Eve said, tackling the duck pokemon to the ground. The two ran off laughing and playing as Joel continued down the path.
"Maybe they're right" said Joel to himself, "We're stronger than we look. Yah, we'll show those Rockets what's what. Well, I guess I'll gather some herbs before tomorrow. Healing is always good." Joel walked on with a spring in his step, collecting different leaves with his good arm, his other having been put in a cast by the town doctor.

Rodney needed to end this soon "Blaze cover your ears!, Faith Sing!" Erika and Rodney both managed to cover their ears too, luckily Vileplume and Sunflora had no such chance and bothe nodded off to sleep. "Blaze use a one-person version of the super flamethrower!" The hit struck both pokemon perfectly, waking them up and nearly koing them. Erika however rushed in with burn heals "Sunflora, Vileplume use synthesize!" The grass pokemon both recovered massive amounts of health.
Blaze stumbled a bit and Faith fell over but quickly picked herself up Rodney thought Damn, this'll turn into a war of attrition, that I will lose he hoped for the best and yelled out "Blaze super flamethrower again, Faith metronome!" again the massive fire shot forth while Faith danced about, then finally unleashed a massive fire blast in the famialliar cross-type shape.

Eve had found her way back to Joel and they were walking through the garden. Suddenly, Joel spotted something out of the corner of his eye. Suddenly, a razor leaf came flying at Eve. She dodged it easily.
"Treeco, Treeco" Wow, Eve, not only have you evolved, but you've gotten faster, How did you do that. a Treeco landed on the ground in front of Joel and Eve.
"Leafy, Leafeon" It was all Joel. My thoughts about him helped made me want to get stronger so I could travel with him when he returned Eve said, smiling at the blushing trainer.
"Treeco, Treeco treeco," Fine, I guess that means you need to catch me Joel the Treeco said with a sly grin.
"Wait, what? I'm starting to wonder what the big deal about catching pokemon is. Most of mine have just jumped into my pokeballs." Joel said with a look of bemusement, "Ok, you can come with us Treeco, but you're gonna need a nickname. What do you want to be called?"
"Treeco, treeco, co co," well, Eve has always called me Leaper. How about that? the Treeco said, bracing himself for the pokeball.
"Ok Leaper, here goes," Joel said throwing the pokeball, "We can use all the help we can get." As the pokeball light turned green, Joel smiled. "All the help we can get." Joel picked up Leapers pokeball and headed back towards the gym battles.

Magnus had called out Reynard as his first Pokemon to battle with. The fox Pokemon barked at the Gym Leader and awaited Magnus's command.
"A Fire-Type." Erika smiled. "Why am I not surprised?"
"Reynard is more than a Fire-type. He's my Pokemon, and my Pokemon aren't going to back down from a fight."
"VULPIX!" Bring it!
"Go, Lileep! I choose you!" Erika tossed her Pokeball, revealing an ancient-looking Pokemon that resembled and undersea flower.
"A Lileep?" Magnus scanned it with his Pokedex, having never seen one in person. "Uh-oh, it's a Rock/Grass combination. Watch out for Rock-Type moves Reynard."
"Let the Battle begin!" The referee shouted.
"Go Reynard, use Flamethrower!" Reynard started the battle with a quick blast of flame from his mouth, dealing some damage to the Lileep.
"Lileep, use Ingrain!" The grass-Pokemon planted its roots into the ground, absorbing nutrients from the soil to heal itself.
"Hmm, a Pokemon that battles without moving..." Magnus judged Erika's style of using Lileep. "Reynard, use Will'o'Wisp!" Blue flames came from Reynard's tail and flew at the Lileep, surrounding it and converging, burning the Pokemon.
Lileep absorbed more nutrients from the soil, before being affected by the burn.
"Lileep, use Rock Slide!" Nearby rocks flew towards Reynard, striking the fox Pokemon trying to dodge them.
"As I expected... This is her Anti-Fire Pokemon. Reynard, use Confuse Ray!" A multi-colored beam blasted from Reynard's mouth, hitting the Lileep directly.
"Lileep, use Rock Slide!" The Lileep cast more rocks at Reynard, a few of them hitting it's rocky shell. A rock struck Reynard, damaging him badly.
"Now Reynard! Use Payback!" Reynard charged forth, glowing with dark energy, and bashing the Lileep with his body, dealing severe damage. The Lileep absorbed more nutrients from the ground, but was too confused to use its next move.
"Reynard, Flamethrower!" Reynard blasted the prehistoric Pokemon full-force, causing it to faint.
"Lileep, return!" Erika called back her Pokemon, kissing the pokeball as she put it away. "Go, Lombre!" Erika sent out a Lombre, a ditzy Water/Grass-type with a lilly pad on its head.
"Reynard, return!" Magnus called back Reynard, his job being done. "Go, Quake!" Magnus called out his Quagsire, who stared at the Lombre with quiet intensity.
"A Water-type? What're you up to?" Erika asked.
"You'll see..." Magnus smiled at her.
"Lombre, use Bullet-Seed!" The Lombre spat seeds at Quake, hitting him then bouncing off, almost harmlessly.
"Quake, use Sludge Bomb!" A sticky black blob gobbed itself from Quake's mouth and landed on the Lombre, dealing severe damage and sticking it to the ground, unable to move.
"Lombre, use Water Pulse and get out of that gunk." The Lombre tried, but could not move its arms enough to fully use the attack, only freeing itself slightly.
"Quake, Yawn." Magnus covered his ears as Quake let out a loud huge yawn, causing Lombre to yawn shortly afterward. Within seconds, Lombre was asleep.
"Lombre, wake up!" Erika yelled, but to no avail.
"Quake, Sludge Bomb once more!" Quake gobbed another black blob at the sleeping Lombre, making it fully unable to battle.
"Lombre return, you did great." The red light beamed the Pokemon out of the gunk and into the pokeball. "Tangrowth, finish this quickly!" A large mass of vines beamed out of the pokeball and raised its arms in aggression.
"Tangrowth, use Energy Ball!" A large ball of Grass-Energy appeared between its might vine-like arms and blasted Quake, knocking the Quagsire out cold.
"Quake, return. You did exceptionally well." Magnus beamed back his Water-Pokemon and placed the pokeball on his belt. "Go, Reynard! Show this overgrown salad who it's messing with!"
Reynard beamed out of his pokeball, his tails dancing for a battle.
"Vulpix Vul. Vulpix..." Alright, round 2. Let's do this.
"Reynard, use Flamethrower!" A blast of fire struck one of the Tangrowth's vines, causing it to panic a little bit.
"Tangrowth, use Earthquake!" The Tangrowth slammed its vines into the ground, causing it to split and strike Reynard, knocking him out.
"Return, Reynard. You did great." Magnus called back the fox Pokemon. "Go, Red. Finish this fight."
"Tangrowth, use Bind!" The Tangrowth expanded its vines and grabbed at Red.
"Red, use Flame Wheel!" Red curled into a ball of flames, burning Tangrowth's hand and slamming into the Vine Pokemon's body.
"Tangrowth, use Earthquake!" The ground shook beneath their feet.
"Red, use Defense Curl!" The red Quilava curled into a ball, defending itself against the Ground-based attack.
"Now, Flame Wheel!" Red enveloped himself in flames again, and slammed into the Tangrowth, causing it to fall to the ground. As it struggled to lift its weight from the ground, Red was right above it angled for attack.
"Red, use Ember!" A barrage of tiny flames blasted forth, raining upon the Tangrowth, causing it to faint.
"Tangrowth return." Erika beamed her Pokemon back into the pokeball. "You've beaten me, I present you with the Rainbowbadge."
"Thank you ma'am. We should go heal our Pokemon, it's best to be prepared."
"Exactly what I was thinking."
Magnus had his Pokemon healed and hung around the Gym until the rest of the group was ready to leave for lunch.
"A Fire-Type." Erika smiled. "Why am I not surprised?"
"Reynard is more than a Fire-type. He's my Pokemon, and my Pokemon aren't going to back down from a fight."
"VULPIX!" Bring it!
"Go, Lileep! I choose you!" Erika tossed her Pokeball, revealing an ancient-looking Pokemon that resembled and undersea flower.
"A Lileep?" Magnus scanned it with his Pokedex, having never seen one in person. "Uh-oh, it's a Rock/Grass combination. Watch out for Rock-Type moves Reynard."
"Let the Battle begin!" The referee shouted.
"Go Reynard, use Flamethrower!" Reynard started the battle with a quick blast of flame from his mouth, dealing some damage to the Lileep.
"Lileep, use Ingrain!" The grass-Pokemon planted its roots into the ground, absorbing nutrients from the soil to heal itself.
"Hmm, a Pokemon that battles without moving..." Magnus judged Erika's style of using Lileep. "Reynard, use Will'o'Wisp!" Blue flames came from Reynard's tail and flew at the Lileep, surrounding it and converging, burning the Pokemon.
Lileep absorbed more nutrients from the soil, before being affected by the burn.
"Lileep, use Rock Slide!" Nearby rocks flew towards Reynard, striking the fox Pokemon trying to dodge them.
"As I expected... This is her Anti-Fire Pokemon. Reynard, use Confuse Ray!" A multi-colored beam blasted from Reynard's mouth, hitting the Lileep directly.
"Lileep, use Rock Slide!" The Lileep cast more rocks at Reynard, a few of them hitting it's rocky shell. A rock struck Reynard, damaging him badly.
"Now Reynard! Use Payback!" Reynard charged forth, glowing with dark energy, and bashing the Lileep with his body, dealing severe damage. The Lileep absorbed more nutrients from the ground, but was too confused to use its next move.
"Reynard, Flamethrower!" Reynard blasted the prehistoric Pokemon full-force, causing it to faint.
"Lileep, return!" Erika called back her Pokemon, kissing the pokeball as she put it away. "Go, Lombre!" Erika sent out a Lombre, a ditzy Water/Grass-type with a lilly pad on its head.
"Reynard, return!" Magnus called back Reynard, his job being done. "Go, Quake!" Magnus called out his Quagsire, who stared at the Lombre with quiet intensity.
"A Water-type? What're you up to?" Erika asked.
"You'll see..." Magnus smiled at her.
"Lombre, use Bullet-Seed!" The Lombre spat seeds at Quake, hitting him then bouncing off, almost harmlessly.
"Quake, use Sludge Bomb!" A sticky black blob gobbed itself from Quake's mouth and landed on the Lombre, dealing severe damage and sticking it to the ground, unable to move.
"Lombre, use Water Pulse and get out of that gunk." The Lombre tried, but could not move its arms enough to fully use the attack, only freeing itself slightly.
"Quake, Yawn." Magnus covered his ears as Quake let out a loud huge yawn, causing Lombre to yawn shortly afterward. Within seconds, Lombre was asleep.
"Lombre, wake up!" Erika yelled, but to no avail.
"Quake, Sludge Bomb once more!" Quake gobbed another black blob at the sleeping Lombre, making it fully unable to battle.
"Lombre return, you did great." The red light beamed the Pokemon out of the gunk and into the pokeball. "Tangrowth, finish this quickly!" A large mass of vines beamed out of the pokeball and raised its arms in aggression.
"Tangrowth, use Energy Ball!" A large ball of Grass-Energy appeared between its might vine-like arms and blasted Quake, knocking the Quagsire out cold.
"Quake, return. You did exceptionally well." Magnus beamed back his Water-Pokemon and placed the pokeball on his belt. "Go, Reynard! Show this overgrown salad who it's messing with!"
Reynard beamed out of his pokeball, his tails dancing for a battle.
"Vulpix Vul. Vulpix..." Alright, round 2. Let's do this.
"Reynard, use Flamethrower!" A blast of fire struck one of the Tangrowth's vines, causing it to panic a little bit.
"Tangrowth, use Earthquake!" The Tangrowth slammed its vines into the ground, causing it to split and strike Reynard, knocking him out.
"Return, Reynard. You did great." Magnus called back the fox Pokemon. "Go, Red. Finish this fight."
"Tangrowth, use Bind!" The Tangrowth expanded its vines and grabbed at Red.

jeffery sat and watched the gym battle finish he clapped from the sidelines.
"woo that was awesome" jeffery said laughing.
"you`re oddly happy what with the whole being hunted by team rocket thing and all" lucario asked curious.
"yeah well you gotta look on the bright side man" jeffery said back with a smile on his face.
"what bright side we are walking straight up to our enemy and laughing in their faces I mean what have we got to work with, magnus the only half-way smart guy,Rodney the most generic trainer on the planet,Aari the person who saves this from becoming a sausage fest,Jared the quiet bastard,two people we barely know and you a fucking psychopath with no brains" lucario rushed out of his mouth with a worried look on his face.
"you gotta lighten up man ease yourself into a zen like state of calm or go insane they both work" jeffery laughed.
"I knew it you`ve gone insane that explains why you are so god damn happy today" lucario responded.
"yeah that and I bought some headache pills back in lavender I took some today and now I`m like mellow" jeffery softly said with a smile.
"you know what no more pills for you takes away from the focus and we need as much as we can get" lucario said eying jeffery suspiciously because he was rocking back and forth.
"I`m gonna lie down now okay" jeffery muttered dropping down to have a nap on the bleachers in the gym.
"god you`re an idiot" lucario muttered placing his hand over his eye.
