Magnus was rather embaressed that everyone else in the group had heard Joel's advice to him. On their way back to the hotel, he told them all not to say anything.
"If any of you mention what was discussed here, I will..." Magnus was short on words for a moment. "I'll do something very painful to your genitals. Do you understand?"
"Why?" Jeffrey asked. "Are you and Aari having relationship problems?" Jeffrey laughed at Magnus's expense.
"That's it." Magnus turned on Jeffrey and began to chase him with the intent of causing him physical harm. "I'm going to get you, you little bastard!"
"Totally worth it!" Jeffrey laughed as he ran from Magnus. He then tripped, allowing Magnus to catch up and kick him in the shin.
"Ow! Like I said before... It was totally worth it."
"Mention this to Aari and I'll do worse. Understand, Jeffrey?" Magnus turned to the rest of his friends. "That goes for all of you. Now let's get ready and go to the Gym. I want to see a good battle between the old Lieutenant and Rodney."
jeffery picked himself up from the ground and rubbed his shin.
"I`d like to see you try" jeffery told magnus.
"is that a challenge" magnus asked.
"could be depends what you make of it" jeffery said as he made his way into the gym and sat down at the bleachers he then looked back and forth. "okay why do you need this many bleachers these places are never packed" jeffery asked looking up and down at the rows of bleachers.
Rodney with half a plain Croissant in his mouth said "I still a ground type" Joel then pulled out Q's pokeball and said "There, let's not waste time I want to see this too". Rodney nodded then in a massive gulp swalloed his food then proceeded to wash it down with the cup of tea.
The group decided to wait on the rest of them to go anywhere, Rodney took this opputunity to fall asleep, while Magnus and Jeffrey argued.
OoC: Guys there's been a lot of interest stirring again so just before we head to Johto I'm going to open two slots for Flying_Emu and Dastardos both which I know as well-respected RPers that will be able to slot themselves into the story without too much kerfuffle(which is a great word.).
OoC: Flip-flopping Stormcaller is flip-flopping, ok so I'm letting one in now, but we've planned it and they've got a great introductory story going. He's trying to read through the story but to be fair 30 pages is a strain so don't do it blatantly but if we're talking about something from earlier find a way to sort of inlcude what happened.
Aari yawned as she lifted her head up. She rubbed her eyes until they hurt a little. She looked around, now with her clear vision. Her egg lay beside her where Magnus had slept. It was warm and it gave Aari a feeling of confidence. Not for her, for Magnus.
Aari leapt out of the bed and ran into the bathroom. She quickly looked into her bag and grabbed some nice clothes. She put on a short white summer dress & brown shoes. She brushed her hair until it felt smooth. She tied it back and exited the bathroom.
?Uh?? she muttered.
Aari grabbed the egg and her bag and exited the room. She looked down the hallway and decided to turn left. She ended up near the pool. A small swear left her tongue and she spun around. Aari walked straight until she neared the group. She turned to her right and saw the guys talking and preparing themselves to leave. She headed towards them with a grin on her face.
?Oh, I?m late, oh well. Did I miss much?? she asked the group.
They nodded regularly and she thought she heard a ?Nothing really?
"Rodney's going to take on Surge," Joel said to Aari, "and he is probably going to borrow Q for the battle as we're all ready for this thing to start." Joel placed his hand on Rodney's shoulder, "we'll go catch you a diglett after the fight, but the earlier we get to the gym, the better."
"If I were you, Rodney." Magnus said. "I'd use Goo and Speedy in the battle as well. Goo should know some Ground-Type attacks. And Speedy is really fast, so she'll be able to get in quickly and effectively. And if he uses a Magnemite or Magneton, you can use Blaze to make quick work of them. Speaking of Blaze... Joel, how's that Krabby you caught yesterday? You decided on a name for it yet?"
Name: Ashley Gender: Female Age: 18 Skills: Most Pokemon just seem to like her, and she is an excellent cook. Personality: Ashley is carefree, and happy. She is also a huge flirt. Hometown: Fortree City Starter: Ledian. Ashley found her Ledian washed up on the shore, when she was 13. Running to him he was badly bruised and barely breathing. She took him home and nursed him back to health. Pokemon: Ledian Bio: Ashley grew up in Fortree City. Her father aspired to be a Pokemon Breeder, but failed to do so. He stored Pokemon at the house but never could successfully breed them. Growing up around them, Ashley feel in love with them, and they loved her back. When her father learned of the great chemistry between the two he thought that she could breed the pokemon for him. This is not what she wanted to do in life. As her father continuously pressured her to breed for him, she finally snapped. Grabbing only some clothes, a few bucks, and her Ledian she ran away, leaving her family, education, boyfriend, and job behind. She doesn't know what she wants to do now, but she is wandering around the world in search of guidance and a new group of acceptance. Money: $15 Equipment: A few pairs of clothes, some money, her Ledian, two extra pokeballs, and a bag of chips. Appearance: Ashley is about 5'5 and 116 pounds. She usually wears sneakers. She has a loose, red shirt she wears most of the time, and a low cut, denim skirt she wears, most of the time. She also has a few other pairs of clothing. Her hair is a dirty blond color, with a hint of brown. Her eyes are a bright blue.
Ashley stumbled into the bakery. Her petite legs, cut and scratched to hell, shaking under her own weight. Walking to the baker she begged for mercy.
"Please sir, I've been traveling through the dense forests for a little over a week now. I have no food left, and no money to offer you. Please could you spare me a loaf of bread?"
With a frown the man nodded his head, no. Tears started to form under her eyes and she turned to walk out the door. Then she heard some voices. They sounded like people around her age. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she tried to perk up, but failed. She was exhausted and felt dirty from not bathing in a week, and that ruined her self esteem.
The one thing that made her really happy was her looks. She worked so hard to look the way she did, and now her legs were cut from the forests, and covered in dirt. She quickly let her hair loose, hoping to make herself look more attractive, and walked towards the doors.
The sign next to the door read 'Gym'. Lightly pushing the doors open she entered. In the gym was a group of people around her age, she assumed. They all seemed to be great friends with one another, and to be kind. Perking up she walked towards the group.
"I hate to bother you but, could you please spare me something to eat? I swear I'll make it up to you." She said as her voice chocked up, and tears started to form again.

I noticed everyone here talks as other characters in their posts. I beg you not to do this with my character. I have a specific way I want to play her. That basically means Dastardos and I collab'd on this. We're both from Texas... so it's funny.
Magnus saw an emaciated girl walk through the doors of the Gym right as they walked through the doors. She asked them for something to eat, no doubt it had been a while since she'd had a good meal.
"Oh god..." Magnus's heart wrenched when he saw how desperate she was. "Guys, I'll be back. I... I have to help her..." He turned to the girl and asked. "Don't worry, I'll help you. Come on, let's get you fixed up, and calm."
Whimpering, she wiped the tears out of her eyes.
"No, I don't want to be a nusiance or any trouble. I just... I just need some food." A few tears started to roll down her cheeks. "I haven't eaten, bathed, or had a good night's sleep in a week. I ran out of food three days ago. I just, I just want a loaf of bread, or anything, and I'll be on my way again.
"No, you're going to come with me, and I'm going to buy you something to eat, let you get cleaned up, and you're going accept my hospitality, and explain to me what happened. After you've calmed down, that is." Magnus made an ultimatum with her.
Hearing the kind words, Ashley brushed her hands through her long, thick, dirty blonde hair. As she pulled her hand out she saw dirt stuck in her nails. Looking at his face she realized he meant no ill will. He really wanted to help her, and not try and take advantage of her in this delicate state. Dropping her bag she ran and embraced the unknown man. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she buried her head in his shoulders and sobbed. She bent her head and whispered.
"Thank you..."
"Come on, get up... Don't worry, it'll be okay." Magnus led the girl out of the Gym, and brought her back to the Hotel, not sure if the others followed him or not.
"My name's Magnus." He said to the girl. "How about you? What's your name?"
As he started to nudge her along, Ashley didn't want to move at first. She just wanted to sit there and hold onto him. He was the nicest and kindest person she had met in a while. He didn't care that she was beat up, and couldn't currently care for herself. He didn't act like he was only doing this to get into her pants. She slowly realeased him and followed along. She assumed he was taking her to his room.
"My name is Ashley" She answered, slowly stuttering.
"Ashley, it's nice to meet you." He smiled at her, and they reached his hotel room. He unlocked the door and the two of them entered the room.
"Here, you can go ahead and take a shower, I'll order up some food."
He saw the pokeball on her belt and realized that she was a Trainer.
"I'll feed your Pokemon, too. If you'll let it out, I'll make sure it's attended to while you clean up."
"My Pokemon? Sure, but please be kind to her." Grasping the ball, she realesed her Ledian for him.
"Thank you. I really appreciate all of this. If there is anything I can do for you, or your friends, to repay this kindness let me know, and I promise to try and make it up to you."
"Don't worry about that right now. You worry about yourself for right now, let me handle the rest." Magnus took the Ledian and poured it a bowl of Pokemon food. As it began to eat, Magnus picked up the phone and dialed room service.
"Thank you." Ashley thanked Magnus. "It's great to know there are people out there who still care about helping others. I want you to know I appreciate it greatly."
Once again her hand brushed tears from her eyes. She pulled her hair back, and gently kissed Magnus on the forhead. She then turned around and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. Magnus was surprised by this for a moment, but snapped out of it when the operator answered.
"Hello, room service? Yes, I'd like to make an order." Magnus ordered more than enough food for her, and had it prepared to be sent to the room. He sat down on the bed and watched the Ledian eat.
Shutting the door behind her, she started running the tub. She started to undress herself, when she remembered she hadn't locked the door. Quickly turning, she pushed the lock in, and continued. Following she examined herself in the mirror. She had bruises on her chest, and cuts up and down her arms and legs. Her legs were covered in grime, dirt, and dried blood. She felt that she looked hideous.
She forced herself to sob again. She decided to try and let it all out now, in private. As the water started to reach the rim of the tub, she shut the faucet off, and slowly sank into the tub. Dipping her head under water, she felt the warm water flow through her body. Pushing herself back up, she rested her head against the wall.
She thought of everything that had happened in the past week. All the trauma of leaving home and venturing through the woods. The poachers she saw hunting the Pokemon, brutally killing and skinning the defenseless creatures. She missed home. She missed her family and her, now exboyfriend. She destroyed everything she had, and for nothing. She has no plans from here.
She assumed as soon as she was rested and fed, these people would ask her to leave. They seemed to be preparing to do something, and she would just be a burden. Then she though about Magnus and what she had done. How stupid it was she kissed him on the forehead. For all she knew he could have a girlfriend, in this very hotel. That would surely get her the boot.
Crying she stood up and turned the shower on. She let the water pelt upon her wounds. Slowly grabbing a bar of soap, she washed herself. Dirt, and grime covered the floor. Shocked she pulled down the shower head and washed it all down the drain, as she continued to bathe herself.
Turning off the shower, she started to dry off. Then she put the towel back on the rack and searched for her clothes. She couldn't find them anywhere though. Then it hit her, she left them in the room with Magnus. Slowly wrapping a towel around her body and hair, she creaked open the door, just wide enough to see out, and scanned the room. She saw her bag next to her Ledian. Cursing herself, she made sure the towel was as tight as it could be, and sprinted out to grab her stuff, and immediately sprinting back.
Digging through her bag, she grabbed out what she felt was her best outfit. She slipped a short, denim, skirt up her legs. It was one of the skirts that just barely covered what needed to be covered, and it made Ashely feel good about herself, for it made her feel beautiful. She then put on a tight red shirt, and straightened her hair. When she felt she looked the best she could, she exited the bathroom and went straight towards the bed.
She flung herself down on the side of the bed. Her legs lay next to Magnus', and she buried her head into the pillow, and closed her eyes as she eagerly awaited some food.
Joel was just about to answer Magnus' question when a young girl who looked like she had been beaten enter the gym. After a quick exchange, she and Magnus headed back towards the hotel. "What the hell was that all about?" Joel asked the others. He then decided to follow the pair back to the hotel. He wanted to know what was going on and if that girl needed something for her wounds.
Joel made it back to the hotel and headed straight for Magnus' and Aari's room. He heard the shower and decided to just go in and leave something with Magnus. He entered and saw Magnus sitting on the bed with a Ledian eating in front of him.
"That's the girls I assume," Joel said, taking a jar out of his bag, "well, I'm going back to the others, but when your guest gets out of the shower, tell her to use this on the cuts on her legs. It should help them heal." Joel left the jar with Magnus and headed back towards the gym and the others.
I've RP'd with both Dastardos and Flying Emu before, so I approve. Just put me in the gym with the rest I guess, I don't have time to post anything tonight
Aari half-exploded "What the hell was that! My boyfriend just walked off with another girl!, to our room!" Rodney took a step out of her reach and began to explain "Magnus...being the person he is would never let someone who looked so down go without him trying to help them, there's nothing dogy about it despite how it looks." Aari then with a sigh said "I knew that..." Jeffrey cut the silence by saying "So what now? where do we go?" Rodney replied with "...I'm still in my singlet and trackie pants, gotta' go get my clothes and pokeballs from our room"
Despite her sudden outburst, Aari calmed down. Then she blushed. She didn?t want to feel like a ***** and of course she knew Magnus was just helping the girl. She coughed a little and covered her mouth.
?Sorry..?
Aari lay over the chair outside the hotel. The sun beamed down on her but she didn?t care. She threw her leg over her other leg & awaited Joel to return to see how the girl is doing. She tilted her head to the right and looked at the pool.
?I really do hope that girl?s okay, poor thing? she sighed.
Footsteps were heard and Aari spun her head around. Joel smiled at her and sat on the chair next to her. Aari didn?t say anything yet, she was enjoying the sun a lot. She was sure she?d get a tan like this, although she had already got a slight one from the beach.
?Is the girl okay?? Aari asked, placing her sunglasses onto her enchanting eyes.
?I think so, she?s taking a shower? Joel replied.
Aari would have fallen asleep if it wasn?t for the small rattling on her lap. The egg was shaking but then it eventually stopped. Aari frowned despite knowing the egg would hatch soon. She turned to Joel and smiled.
?Um, thanks for this egg again. It means a lot to me?
Magnus let out Red and Reynard and told them to wait in the room while he left for a bit.
"I'm going to go check on my friends, you stay here and eat." Magnus told Ashley. A knock on the door caught his attention. He opened it, and saw it was the room-service with Ashley's food.
"Thank you very much, sir." Magnus told the man who brought up the food. He pulled some cash out of his wallet and tipped the man. "You have a good day, now."
He turned to Ashley and spoke.
"Red, Reynard..." He said to the Shiny Quilava and the Vulpix. "Introduce yourselves, don't be rude."
Magnus walked outside and saw Aari and Joel talking. The egg was firmly stationed on Aari's lap, and she held it in her hands. Magnus approached the two of them and began to speak with them.
"Hey Aari, hey Joel." He smiled at them. He went around the back of Aari's chair and hugged her around the shoulders. "I'm sorry about leaving you guys like that. I just couldn't stand to not help her... I guess I'm reverting to my old ways of blindly helping people."
Magnus looked down at Aari's face and saw the look she had.
Aari blushed as Magnus hugged her. She turned around and tried not to make contact with Magnus. It wouldn?t matter if she did anyway, she was wearing sunglasses.
?Oh, nothing?s the matter. Why?? Aari muttered.
[sup]Damn, why didn?t you just tell him?[/sup]
Aari relaxed and turned around to face the sky. The cradled egg was something she was protective of. Just like Togepi, she was motherly. She was used to raising young ones by now.
jeffery was the last to leave the gym bidding sarge a good bye him and lucario walked off back to the hotel.
"so I wonder what happened to that girl I mean she looked like she was beaten or... worse" lucario thought out loud as they walked back to the hotel.
"dunno but it was weird she was ragged and bruised but she was still kinda captivating, not in a sexual way but in like a pure sort of way you know" jeffery told lucario.
"oh for the love of... could you please control yourself for at least a little while I mean c`Mon do you really want to alienate every girl you meet" lucario told him.
"yeah you`re right but still she is simply gorgeous but I have no chance with her I mean with a looks like that she could get any guy she wants best just forget it" jeffery said. "oh and one other thing don`t tell anyone I said any of this or else" jeffery threatened lucario.
"alright I won`t tell a soul" lucario said running his fingers across his mouth in a zipping motion. they both got back to the hotel and jeffery slumped down in one of the chairs next to Aari.
