Pokemon RP Slots closed Chapter 11: I'm on a boat!

As the boat docked, Magnus passed Brandon and Lilly watching Jeffrey and Lucario in one of their usual bouts of fisticuffs. Magnus found it amusing that Jeffrey had never figured out that Lucario was always holding back, Magnus assumed out of love. Or at the very least, mild affection.

Speaking of love and affection, Aari had been quite open with her displays of affection for Magnus recently. She had become less apprehensive when it came to holding hands and kissing him. She even said 'I love you' more often now.

The boat lurched slightly as it came to a stop, the deck workers dropping anchor and the deck workers tying the boat down.

Attention, this is your captain again. You are now free to disembark, if you please. Those of you staying on the Seafoam Islands are advised to leave the boat. Those of you transferring to Cinnabar have 2 hours to attend to any business on the island before we leave for Cinnabar. Thank you, and have a great day.

Magnus walked over to Rodney and told him what he was going to do.

"Hey Rodney." Magnus said to his friend. "Aari and I are going to catch a bus to the eastern Island and go ahead get the rooms. We'll see you guys later, and I'll give you a call later.

"Alright." Rodney replied. "Behave yourselves you two."

Rodney laughed slightly, though Magnus was puzzled as to what he was implying. They disembarked and got on one of the nearby buses. They took a short ride to the resort island, walked to the front desk, and reserved four rooms.

"Looks like someone gets a room to themself. Lucky them." Magnus said aloud.

"Lucky us, you mean." Aari suggested and giggled. The two walked to their room and unpacked their belongings. As they were done unpacking, Magnus found Aari giving him a seductive look.

"What're you in such a good mood for?" Magnus asked her. "You're happier than I've seen lately."

"This is the first time we've had any alone time in quite a while." Aari said to him. She leaned over and whispered in his ear. "We should make the most of it."

"Okay, what do you think we should do?" Magnus asked, not picking up on the hints. Aari practically jumped onto him and gave him a deep loving kiss.

"That give you any ideas?" She said with a smile and a wink.

"Two. That I absolutely fucking love you. And that you are the best girlfriend ever."

Magnus stepped out of the shower and dried himself off. The steam poured from behind the curtains as Aari continued showering. Being this far south, and on an island, reminded Magnus that it was summer. He dug through his bag and mangaged to find his warm-weather clothes. He pulled on a pair of jean-shorts and a lightweight, but close-fitting, polo shirt.

He placed his sunglasses on the bedside table and walked back into the bathroom to sort out his hair. His once-short ash-blonde hair had grown past his ears and was now light-golden blonde and curly. His chin was covered with a wispy beard, which he decided to trim and shave into a thin patch going down the center of his chin, descending from his lower lip. His sideburns, however light, he trimmed in line with the triangular part of the ear, opposite the rim.

"Hey sweetie." Magnus said to Aari as he left the bathroom. "I'm gonna go out, maybe see if I can meet back up with the rest of the guys."

"Okay, I'll give you a call later." She said to him.

Magnus got off the bus when it reached the stop nearest the Gym. He looked around the streets and saw Rodney and the others headed there. He caught up with them and walked with them.

"Hey guys. I got the rooms all sorted out. One of you gets a room to yourself, so you'll have to fight it out amongst yourselves."

"hm so who gets the room" jeffery said his eyes darting back and forth between everyone else. "I have a suggestion on how we settle this, I say we..."

"don`t say fist fight you have`nt got a chance" lucario cut in, rubbing his neck from jeffery choking him back on the boat.

"no not that a five way poke-battle I mean hell sure it would be frantic and a complete frantic hellstorm of water, psychic and all other kinds of attacks but hey it would be fun" jeffery said making exploding noises and making exploding gestures with his hands.

"wow, I can`t believe it but that actually sounds like a good idea" lucario said thinking about the possibilities.

"It sounds like a horrible idea, Jeffrey." Magnus said. "All that would happen is a big confusing pile-up. Besides, it wouldn't be completely fair. Here, I'll have you guys draw lots."

Magnus pulled out the five cards and held them in his hands, with the room numbers facing him.

"There, now all you have to do is grab a card, and that'll be your room. This way, it'll be completely fair."

Everyone grabbed a card and showed it to Magnus.

"Looks like Jeffrey got the room to himself. Sorry guys. But hey, at least none of you have to deal with him at night."

Jeffrey shot Magnus a quick glare and blew off the remark.

"Anyway, each of the rooms has two double-beds. That way, no one has to share a bed."

"What about in your room?" Jared asked, trying to be funny.

"Aari and I are sharing a bed. That's right, be jealous."

I let Jeffrey have the room to himself. It's good to cut him a break every once in a while.

upon hearing that he got the room to himself jeffery turned his head to the sky and muttered. "thanks" he then picked up his bag and continued towards the gym. "hey guys we still going or did we decide to have a picnic without my knowledge" jeffery yelled over his shoulder as he continued walking towards the gym.

"Now why would I be jealous?" Jared asked, somewhat sarcastically. "You and Aari go have your fun. I'll be in the room for a bit before we head for the gym."

Jared scooped up his stuff and headed into the room. He immediately bolted for the shower, it had been a while, and his hair was quicker to get dirty now that it was even longer. After finally getting cleaned up, he jammed his baseball cap back on, changing into a white t-shirt with the brown shorts that became known beach wide during Spring Break at Vermillion Beach making their return appearance. He made his way down to the lobby before seeing Jeffery begin to take off for the gym.

"Jeez, Jeff needs to appreciate his surroundings more," Jared said to himself as he started to follow behind the eager challenger.

jeffery continued to walk towards the gym after about two minutes of walking by himself he turned around to see only Jared following behind him. "well now I`ve already started walking so why stop now" jeffery said as he continued walking towards the gym.

"umm because you hate gyms ever since....that happened" lucario replied walking alongside jeffery.

"I don`t hate all gyms just the ones in shinnoh" jeffery sighed as he looked at the ground.

"don`t worry with the way we`re traveling we`ll be in shinnoh before the end of the year and then you can get your revenge on that *****...for whatever she did" lucario replied.

"what do ya mean whatever she did you were there" jeffery asked confused.

"I was knocked out I don`t know what happened" lucario replied looking at jeffery.

"yeah well I barely remember it myself I blocked most of it out all I remember is...." jeffery was interrupted by a rustling in a nearby bush. "yeah well whatever let`s just get going" jeffery said as he turned away from the bush to walk off to the gym lucario following behind him.

While the others went back to the other island to check out their rooms, Magnus went to the Gym to challenge Blaine. He entered the small building marked 'GYM', wondering why it was so small. He walked into the lobby, and saw that there was a set of stairs leading downward. He descended them and saw that the ended in a large basement, heated by furnace which kept the room very warm.

"So..." Blaine said, coming from behind a curtain. His wrinkled face covered in a thick white moustache. "You want to challenge me to a Battle. I'll accept, if you can answer this question for me."

"Alright." Magnus replied, confident in his ability to think clearly. "I can handle that."

"Very well, young man. Which comes first, a Moltres or its fire?"

"Neither. A Moltres is born and reborn from flames. A circle has neither a beginning nor an end."

"Very clever, and very well phrased. However, it will take more than wit to defeat me. I choose you, Magcargo!" Blaine called forth his Magcargo, a snail formed from lava, with a hardened shell on its back.

"Go, Quake!" Magnus called out his Quagsire to battle against the Magcargo. "Quake, use Water Pulse!"

Quake fired a spherical blast of water at the Magcargo, doing damage to it.

"Magcargo, prepare to attack." Magcargo began charging for an attack, which Magnus could not identify.

"Quake, use Earthquake!" Quake shook the earth beneath his feet. The Magcargo was greatly damaged, but it stood the test of its assault.

"Magcargo, fire the Solarbeam!" A massive blast of solar energy blasted Quake, knocking it out in one blast. Magnus called back his Quagsire, and let it rest until it could be restored at a Pokemon Center.

"Go Ryu, show your stuff!" Magnus called out his Dratini to finish off the Magcargo. "Ryu, hit it with your Dragon Rage!"

Ryu blasted the Lava Snail with a large burst of blue flame, knocking out the Pokemon. Blaine called back his Magcargo, and grabbed another Pokeball from his coat.

"Go Arcanine, incinerate them!" Blaine called out his massive doglike Pokemon. It growled and sat as it was called out.

"Ryu, return!" Magnus called back Ryu for the moment. "Go Reynard!"

Magnus called out his Vulpix, whose tails quivered in preparation for battle. The small fox Pokemon stared down the much larger Pokemon as an equal.

"Arcanine, use Extremespeed!" The Arcanine accelerated and slammed into Reynard, who used his tails to soften the blow.

"Reynard, use Payback!" Reynard charge the dark energy and slammed into the Arcanine as it had stopped. The Arcanine stumbled backward and regained its composure.

"Arcanine, use Crunch!" The large doglike Pokemon's teeth glowed with Dark power as it prepared to latch onto Reynard.

"Reynard, Extrasensory!" Reynard's eyes glowed purple, and as the Pokemon moved close enough to attack, Reynard evaded and blasted it with Psychic energy.

"Extremespeed, finish off the little fox!" Arcanine attempted once more to outrun and damage Reynard, but Magnus was prepared.

"Reynard, Extrasensory once again!" The Fox Pokemon practicall warped out of danger and blasted the Arcanine, knocking it backward and leaving it unable to battle.

"Return Arcanine. Rapidash, let's finish this!" Blaine sent out a flaming horse Pokemon with a large horn upon its head. "Rapidash, Stomp!"

The large horse Pokemon stomped upon Reynard, knocking him out for the battle.

"Reynard, return! Alright Ryu, time to win this!" Magnus called Ryu back out for battle. The slender blue Dragon-Type coiled himself up and waited for a command.

"Rapidash, use Fury Attack!" The large Pokemon charged at Ryu, whose tail began glowing blue and blocked the charge with it, resulting in a splash.

"That was... Ryu, use Aqua Tail again!" Ryu obeyed, his tail glowing blue and swirling with water. He swung it at the Rapidash and struck the Pokemon.

"Rapidash, Agility!" Rapidash began speeding around, making it appear as if there were many of it.

"Ryu, use Thunder Wave!" Ryu sent out a field of electricity, stunning and slowing the Rapidash. "Now, Aqua Tail once more!"

Ryu slammed his tail into the Pokemon, knocking it down, and winning the battle. Ryu suddenly began to glow white and elongate. When the light dissipated, Ryu coiled himself elegantly, as a beautiful Dragonair.

"Congratulations, young man. You have battled honorably and bested me. I present you with the Volcano Badge."

"Thank you Blaine. I will not forget this battle." Magnus shook the elderly man's hand. "My name is Magnus, by the way. Thank you, sir."

"Farewell Magnus. Good luck against Team Rocket, you and your friends need all that you can get."

"Wait, how did you-" Magnus stopped as Blaine stepped back behind the curtain and sat down in a chair. Magnus walked back up the steps and walked to the Pokemon Center to heal his Pokemon. Walking back to the bus stop, he passed Jeffrey and Jared.

"Good luck, guys." Magnus said to them as they passed. "I hope you're good at riddles."

My next series of posts will be controlling Aari and Joel, as eTuners has already said he no longer wants to be a part of the RP. And Falconknight has expressed to me his wish to no longer continue. No one interact with Aari and Joel until I'm done making these posts, okay?

Joel rode the bus back to the resort island, contemplating what his friends and he had accomplished. Together, they had stopped an advancing force of Rockets, and saved the lives of many people. However, he felt that they weren't moving towards their goal of evicting Team Rocket from Saffron soon enough. He had made his decision...

Joel walked into the room with the key given to him by Magnus. He did not unpack, but merely wrote a note to the group...

Joel looked over the note he had written:

To my friends,

Over the past few months, we have travelled together and become very close. We have been to hell and back, and survived together. We have suffered and celebrated as friends, but I'm afraid that this will no longer be the case.

I am leaving for Celadon City; I am going to help Erika rebuild and prepare for the upcoming assualt on Saffron City. I am going to miss you guys, and I wish you all luck.

I'm going to miss all of you. Farewell,

He left the note for his friends to find, took his backpack, and left for the buses. He walked through the lobby of the resort. Aari was walking by in the lobby and saw Joel leaving.

"Joel!" Aari called out to him. "What's wrong, are you going somewhere?"

Joel explained to Aari that he was leaving while the two of them walked.

"Well, I'm going to miss you Joel." Aari said, slightly tearfully.

"I'm going to miss you too." Joel said, and he embraced her.

"How touching. Though if you ask me, it seemed a bit sappy. What do you think Lucille, sweetheart?"

"I think it was sweet, like the reconciliation after the first time we broke up."

"You two!" Aari shouted. She and Joel grabbed their pokeballs and prepared to battle.

"Relax kids... We're on a holiday, we're not going to hurt you." Kristoph reassured the two of them. "You can just move along now."

Joel and Aari walked suspiciously away from them, and reached the bus station. Aari bade farewell to Joel. Magnus walked off of the bus that Joel was about to board, and asked:

"What's up Joel? You leaving?" Magnus asked.

"Yeah... I'm gonna miss you guys, but I've got my reasons."

"Well... Good luck. I'll break the news to Reynard, he's not going to be happy about Eve leaving."

"Goodbye." Joel gave Magnus a hug, and got on the bus. "Take care of everyone."

Rodney approached the front of the Gym and said to himself "Ok, let's do this. I know Blaine is a trickster and likes to make up riddles so I'll be ready for that." He entered the building and climbed down a long stairway, into a very hot basement room.

He soon saw an oddly-dressed older man, assuming it was Blaine Rodney walked up and said "Ok, let's battle! Right now, no tricks or riddles!". Blaine responded calmly "Ok" Rodney was thrown, he wasn't expecting to be accepted to battle he asked "That's it? No puzzles or tricks?". Blaine responded "Well if you absolutely insist..." Rodney smacked his palm against his forehead for being so stupid.

Blaine hopped up onto what appeared to be a small stage and called out as if announcing to a crowd "You must answer this upcoming question to challenge me for your gym badge!, ok?" Rodney partially out of his tendency to be a smart-arse and partially thinking quickly replied "Yes, now lets battle." To his surprise Blaine hopped off the stage and waled to the opposite end of the marked battle field saying as he went "You'd be surprised how many people that one actually stumps...".

Rodney went and took up his position, Blaine called out "Look, I have a lunch to be at in a bit so this will be a 1v1 Battle, using only one of your Pokemon. Think your Pokemon can take the heat for long?" Blaine said smirking. Rodney laughed, he'd have this hands down. He expanded Chompers Ball and threw it into the field, While Blaine threw out his Pokemon, A Charizard.

Blaine frowned and said "A water-type? Really? People need some originality these days. Your move first." Rodney said "Chompers, let's finish this and get something to eat, Hydro Pump!"
Blaine still looked disappointed and said "Charizrd, the usual" As the massive blast of Water rushed towards the Charizard it took up stance. It dipped it's head back and threw it forward violently, spewing massive amounts of flame everywhere as it did so. "Hot water becomes steam..." Blaine said, still disinterested with what was going on. "Chompers! Close in and try again, Charizard won't be able to charge up enough heat that way!" Rodney ordered. Chompers closed in slowly, vary that the Charizard was eyeing him down as he approached.

Rodney began "Chompers. Unleash Hy-" he was cut short by Blaine who ordered "Charizard, Take Down and aim low!" The Charizard pushed off with it's wings and flew directly at Chompers' stomach, crushing into it with force, making Chompers harmlessly let out the water he had been gathering up. When the dust settled, Charizard was flying above Chompers. Blaine game the orders "Charizard, just keep hitting it with Aerial Ace!" Rodney was at a loss for what to do and Charizard had already begun attacking Chompers, who was slowly forcing himself up, despite the onslaught. Rodney finally had an idea as Charizard landed. "Chompers, buddy reckon you could get another Hydro Pump going?" Chompers nodded and said wearily "Gatr!". The Charizard stood there like last time "Yeah Charizard, I'm just as over this as you..." Blaine taunted. Again the Hydro Pump shot out and again it was turned to steam by a powerful Flamethrower. "Charizard, fly up and get ready for a take down to end this! Kid, Hot Water makes st-" Rodney interrupted Blaine now "Cold water makes ice! Chompers give it your all with a Blizzard!".

The air around Charizard began to freeze, confusing it "Charizard, burn your way outta' there again!" Blaine ordered, finally with some passion in his words, but the Charizard was tired out from earlier and could not stop the ice encasing him in mid air. He dropped, frozen. As he hit the ground the ice on him shattered, but it was too late, he had fainted. Chompers had passed out from over exertion too, but the battle was Rodney's.

After calling their respective Pokemon back Blaine walked over and shook Rodney's hand, awarding him the badge in the same motion. Rodney ran off to tell everyone of his hardfought victory.

jeffery turned his head to see Rodney run off to tell everyone about his victory.
"well I do believe I was just ignored" jeffery said, before getting off the bleachers and leaving the gym jeffery saw Rodney in the distance and decided to follow him being sneaky along the way.

"he`ll never see it coming" jeffery whispered as he got ready to sneak up and Rodney and scare him

Magnus and Aari were laying on the bed in their room. Aari was explaining about Lucille and Kristoph to him.

"So they're on the island?" Magnus asked, trying to get everything straight.

"Yeah. They say that they're not going to bother us, but I don't trust them." Aari responded.

"I don't blame you, sweetie. I wouldn't trust them either. But there's nothing we can do, really. As long as they don't hurt anyone, we can't do anything."

"I know... but it's a little unnerving. I mean, we have no idea what they might be planning. Then I wonder if they're even planning anything at all, and I'm just worrying for nothing."

"Someone's getting a little paranoid..." Magnus chuckled and began to rub Aari's neck. "Would a back rub help you relax?"

"Yes it would. Thank you, Magnus." Aari took off her shirt and laid down on her stomach. "You're so sweet."

Magnus began massaging Aari's back, her soft skin warm against his hands. Aari heaved a sigh of relaxation and comfort as Magnus's strong hands moved along her back.

"When you're done, I can do you." Aari said to Magnus.

"I hope so..." Magnus said, smiling a little bit at her suggestives statement.

"Shutup... You know what I meant." The both laughed, and Magnus continued rubbing Aari's back.

"Very well... You will be heading towards the Seafoam Islands." Lil' Giovanni told the man sitting in front of his desk. "Do you feel up to the task?"

"Feelings?" The man said in his rough accent "Mate, you know who has feelings? Blokes who bludgeon their wives wif' a golf trophy. Professionals have standards. Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to-"

"I think that I've heard enough, sir. You have the contract, the details are listed in the paperwork. You know what to do."

"Thank ya sir. I'll get right on it. I'll get them easier than a Yanma in my windshield."

"Return to me with proof, then you get paid. You are dismissed."

Dani skipped out of the gym, she enjoyed watching the leaders battle, it gave her a good idea of what the challenge she had coming. Norbert followed in her footsteps, his long legs easily kept up with the fast moving girl. Dani was small for her age, she was shorter than everyone she knew and weighed considerably less, which is where Norbert comes in standing at over 6", Norbert provides plenty of protection for the small girl.

"Norbert, what do you want to do now?" she asked, knowing no reply would come, "Hey... what is that boy doing?"

Dani stopped and pointed at Jeffrey who was sneaking up behind another boy. Dani looked at Norbert and began walking toward the boy, Norbert sighed as he followed.

She quietly snuck up behind the boy who was quietly sneaking up behind another boy. Once she got close enough she tapped him on the shoulder. He jumped into the air and landed on the ground with a thud, Norbert quickly jumped over Dani and took a fighting stance.

"Whoa sorry man! I didn't mean to scare you like that, what were you doing anyways?" by the time Dani asked this Rodney had turned around, "Oh hi! What are you guys doin?"

jeffery got off the ground and dusted himself off looking at the stranger with an eye of curiosity. "well I was trying to scare the living crap outta you, but that just backfired" jeffery said answering Rodney's question.
