In the later games, they had particle physics to the visor which make it unbelievably sexy. Like, if you look up during a rainstorm, you can see the little water droplets on your screen.
Actually they had it since the first Prime.
Erm.

*goes back and plays Prime 1*

Oh. Well... yeah.

a second person shooter would be you controlling an npc and trying to kill your main character...right? i think thats what it would be...maybe
Actually that would be an FPS only you being the bad guy and getting killed.

A second person shooter would be you still controling the main charicter but the camera would be an enemy's view.

You would see you killing a guy via a camera attached to his face.

I don't know, I'm decidedly neutral about Epic, I just think it's silly to hate one game company because they make violent games. When nearly every other company is doing the exact same thing. Yet the company you hate has also developed a top of the line engine that facilitates the making of a long list of incredibly diverse games.
May I say one thing? He said he didn't hate Epic, he just didn't like it.
No offence to you but read an argument before arguing against it.

And just something about games that allow you to switch. If they are going to do it, they should make it good. I recall in Oblivion you couldn't just turn the camera to turn while running, which is different from any game I know. It got annoying when riding a horse.

I like the camera in 007 Quantum of Soloce.

When running it was first person, however when it cover it switched automaticly to third person, allowing things like sliding to cover, rolling, and quick movements to move between cover.

If I can create/edit my character, 3rd person, because I love to look at my creations.

If I can't, then first person.

3rd.

Whenever I play 1st I just feel like the devs didn't want to make a full character model.

I prefer first-person, but I'm still waiting for my Fifth-person shooter.
erm, not sure how this is possible by any stretch of the imagination or paradoxical universe in which we live. 3rd is the most u could go to as it is outside of the body, first is inside and the odd one being 2nd as it would be would be you watching yourself get killed by the main character or some other paradox of a game.

Oh it was a Joke

*Faceplant* XD

I like both. That said, I do want a fourth person shooter.
Wouldn't that be looking at what the group and you see? Or is that first person plural...

FPS draws me into the game more than staring at the back of my characters head moving the lil crosshair over something i want to die. FPS to me seems more iunno....i guess it just makes me feel im doing alot more than i am on a 3rd person shooter, for example aiming where i want the bullet to go rather than just what target i want to hit.

Apparently, fourth person stories refer to the main character as One. As in, "One went to the shop earlier."

I liked Rainbow Six Vegas style perspective, where it's 1st person, unless you're taking cover, or stacking up on a wall.

Isn't Mario 64 a 2nd person game? You are seeing things from the floating-cloud-camera-guy's perspective.

Third person seems more of a grown up's way to play, first person just seems pretentious now...
(As weird as that sounds, in a first person your just pointing and shooting, perhaps with a bit of melee, the dialogue just makes you feel less a part of the game... difficult to explain what i mean, sorry)

I prefer Third Person because it leaves so much more potential to gameplay (e.g. look at the WET demo then Mirror's Edge.)

First person because that is mainly what i am used too, i suck at games like Gears of War and i think Third person view fits Fighting games more then Shoot'em ups
