There is nothing to worry about, relax. Remember, even if there was some giant catastrophic end of the world scenario, what are you really going to gain by worrying about it. After all, you'll likely die in said catastrophic event, so just live your life to the fullest up until 2012 if you're really worried. Then if nothing happens, continue living your life to its fullest anyway.

Also, 2012 could just be the end of the current age. Nothing big.

2012 is predicted to be the end of the world because it's where the Mayan calender stops. More realistically, that's probably where it stops just because that's where it stops, as they never went any further.
