Cats, for the most part. Easily my favorite animal.

Dogs and I...depends on the breed, usually. Small dogs and I HATE one another. Most of them (with, I think, 2 exceptions) just react badly when I'm around, yapping and being a general annoyance. I get along much better with the larger breeds (I'm fond of GOlden retreivers and Huskies in particular).

I'm a cat person.

I love my dogs, and some of my friends dogs, but not random ones.

I like random cats.

I love my Cat.

Dogs are great, loyal and affectionate (though I like rats even more). I don't really like cats, they're vicious killers of the native wildlife. I'm from Australia, where most of our smaller native wildlife is very vulnerable to cats since they never evolved to deal with a predator like that.

Dog person, but hurray for cats.

Just always had a dog in my life.

And while I love dogs, I don't feel the need to knock someone for loving cats...

I prefer Cat over to Dog since cat are indoor which I'm a indoor person. I'm don't mind taking the dog out for a walk but I have to pick up their s***.

I have a Cat, used to have a hamster and a tarantula but I'm really not a fan of aninals at all. I don't like the malting and just them being noisey >.<

I love all animals (well most, it is difficult to cuddle a cane toad). I have two cats, but we should be getting a puppy soon too. Can't wait. Going to be fur everywhere, but they'll all be friends soon enough.

I like cats since they're fairly low maintenance, the most annoying a cat can be is maybe meowing at the door to be let out if it's in your bedroom. My best mate has a dog that barks at EVERYTHING and damn it's annoying. A cat would just look at whatever is walking past outdoors secretly plotting how to make it it's slave.

A can person? Yes. Definately a can person...

Cats are awesome. Dogs are fucking annoying.
THIS THREAD [http://www.cracked.com/article_19007_6-reasons-kittens-suck-learned-while-raising-them.html] literally had me crying with sympathetic laughter.

Also I find your lack of Hungarian Howler Monkeys disturbing.
Hahahaha awesome article. Poor Sisko never got adopted lmao

I love both (there is no possibility that I will miss a chance to play with any dog or a cat on the street), but I am more a cat person :3 I love the relationship you can build with a cat; a combination of love and apathy. Cats rarely bother me, they are clean, self-sufficient and independent, and yet, they can give all the love back when they want to and when you need it.

Definitely a dog person. Sure, I like cats and may or may not consider one as a pet in certain circumstances, but dogs win every time, particularly big dogs.

Dog person. I have a black labrador, called Bramble. He's probably the friendliest thing that ever lived, and dogs are very intelligent animals. Plus, labradors are very loyal. I've grown up around them. I do like cats, though.

Cats. They take care of themselves for the most part - so keeping them is rather effortless (and you don't have to pick up their shit. A priceless point in their favour) - and they are very gracious and elegant, as opposed to drooling, barking, blank-staring dogs. Also, they are softer than dogs (much nicer to pet), and they purr as a nice indicator of when you're doing it right.
I like their general attitude towards the rest of the world. Nonchalant as no other, but fully capable of fucking you up.
I also like that he seems to be of the impression that he is the owner in this relationship. "What's that? You don't want me in your lap right now? Bullshit, I'm gonna sit on whether you like it or not."
I'm basically just regarded as a big soft food dispenser/cushion.
I do hate the fact that my cat has figured out that we'll throw him out if he claws on the furniture though; so now he does that every time he wants to go outside.

Edit: What's up with all the people liking dogs because they're dependable? That's not something I want from my pet.

Its got to be dogs. Dogs just form unconditional attachments easily in my opinion.
Not that i dont like cats, its just i like cats from afar. Honestly, i freak out if a cat jumps on my lap. Dogs on the other hand are always there, and dont really ask much of you, besides a walk, a bit of food. But most of all, what a dog wants, is affection.
My experiences with cats are generally, they come back when they want feeding (aka when no ones else will feed them). You hear about it all the time; cats going to other neighbors, simply because they get fed more. That shit wouldnt fly with a dog. Well, not as easily.

Dog person all the way here, helps make the choice easy since I'm allergic to cats.
