Lol that's funny, although that's a common misconception. 2 of my uncles are gay and they are far from perfectly groomed. And they never go clubbing and Party-Boy dancing.........danosaurus said:I thought I was gay once, then I learnt about all the prohibitive hygiene standards... and all that dancing *shivers*
It's actually a line out of 'Black Books' (Comedy Series) - I stole it and maded it my own.MoDReapd said:Lol that's funny, although that's a common misconception. 2 of my uncles are gay and they are far from perfectly groomed. True, better writing would help games in general. I think Fable and Fable 2 have one of the best portrayals of homosexuals, bisexuals and heterosexuals as the main character can be whatever you choose. It also has little to do with the main story or the jobs/abilities of the player's character. The character is a hero regardless of sexual orientation and I like that.nipsen said:@Curtmeister: How would he know?
..where's the "why does this matter, and yes of course all gay people are portrayed badly and stupidly in video- games, the writing is generally so bad it hurts, how could they not be"- option?
LOL, yea I guess that makes sense..... Now that you mention it, yea guys are really freaking creepy.........danosaurus said:It's actually a line out of 'Black Books' (Comedy Series) - I stole it and maded it my own.MoDReapd said:Lol that's funny, although that's a common misconception. 2 of my uncles are gay and they are far from perfectly groomed. On a queerer note, I often get approached by people who assume I'm bisexual... something to do with my fashion sense I believe (lots of black, slim-fit attire...no, not latex)
That and the fact that I'm a pretty affectionate dude (i.e hug my mates, cos i lub them so much).
I'm 100% straight though - relative to chicks, guys are freakin beasts... all that hair and dangly parts, I just could never be physically attracted to that *slight vommy*
Maxi what?NoMoreSanity said:I'm a Maxisexual. But straight.
And most gays in games aren't really the best models for the people. (See most Japanese games)
Mexican accents? where you got that from? i thought most stereotypical gays talked like Europeans.zoozilla said:Pretty sure I am straight.
I am getting kind of sick of homosexuals always having Mexican accents and doing pirouettes; we definitely need to grow up. Can't say I see it going away in the near future, though - I mean, African-Americans achieved "equality" with whites in the 1960's, and look at all the stereotypes that still infect our culture.
Cough Zangief from Street Fighter 2 cough He is a Russian BEAR WRESTLER! hello how is that a gay stereotype?jadedgamer said:I have bi and gay friends they don't seem to care that there has yet to be a gay character that isn't a stereotype.
