Yeah I hate them too. And I'm gay, I'm guessing its because that is what people think of first when i say I'm gay.

Look Its simple, There is a rate, no matter what there is a 20% rate of people not being completely straight. You can be a little gay, you can be 100% queer or just 50% thats what we call "Bi". There is no changing it, if we had a lager number of people in the escapeist you would see a 12% on both gay and les combined and bi about 8%. All leading to 20% The scientist said it, and that's how i see it on most web pages gaming related or not.

I think theres enough gay people/characters in games,just like I think theres enough straight people in games.
I couldn't care less whether the guy/girl i controll in the game likes guys or girls, as long as they like swords or guns or hurls fireballs or something.

My whole point was that i don't care whether the caracter is gay bi or straight, their sexuallity hardly ever has any effect on the game, so i'm indifferent.

Most of the games i've played, no more hereos aside, could possibly have been with gay caracters. But since their sexuallity wasn't ever a part of the game no-one will ever know for sure (rule 34 doesn't count)

Unless the caracter says/hints that he/she likes chicks/dudes, lost a wife/husband, or actually sleeps with someone, kisses them or whatever you cannot say they're straight or gay. For the sake of the game they're non-sexual.

Is link straight? is he gay? no-one knows cause all he cares about is swinging his awesome weapons around.
Same example applies to lots of other caracters in games.

I beg to differ that sexuality makes a difference in the game. Remember god of war? I can't say i would have enjoyed the sex mini game if i knew kratos was pounding guy. and then knowing that kratos was gay...well actually, now that i think about it, he's in the closet to. My point is that your going to have o get pas alot of stereotyping before (male)homosexual game characters stop being so damned....frilly is the only word i can think of right now. And I don't like frilly when playing games. I like destruction. The two rarely coincide, and even more rarely is it done in such a way as to make me want to play the game. on the other hand, a tough lesbian chick is okay with me. like samus. she was kick ass. damn you society for desensitizing me to your over appreciation for masculine qualities and alienation of feminine ones.

Link is a kid in a lot of the games and in OOT he turns older, but without having time to develop so i guess he has a kids mind. Heck when i was 12 or whatever age kid link is supposed to be i didn't care about chicks either.

Never played GOW so i wouldn't know about said mini-games.

Even though he's not the protangonist, Thunder Ryu form no more heroes (your trainer) firstly assumes you want him to fuck you when you talk to him. And he was your everyday pro wrestler type.

I know some games feature sex, or sexual references No More Heroes was heavy on this. Heck the main caracter tried to become Nr.1 assasin so he could bang some chick. But a whole lot of other games doens't focus on it. And it would be forced to try to add it, or just non-significant.

But if people want it so badly just ask nintendo to stop saving peach, get hot with luigi (they'll have to make them non-brothers first though) and then he can save luigi from bowser instead, which would affect the gameplay 0%

Same could go for everyone who we only know is straight because they mention they have/had a wife girlfriend who they're quite often trying to save/avenge. It could just as easily be a man who wanna save/avenge his boyfriend. They're just not gonna do that, cause it's likely to scare homophobic people from buying the game.

A crossdresser doesn't (necessarily) suck dick, and therefore not gay. A bisexual does, and therefore should be considered gay, in a poll like this.

I don't think that quote is valid, it marks him rather more as an ignoramous than as having a valid, balanced opinion. To be blunt - you can enjoy 'sucking dick' as much as 'munching rug'. Why don't you try it? Be more open minded.

I qualify that by saying being open minded is not the same as being mindlessly open.

My point is that (even if you prefer to munch rug) if you're a man and like to put man-meat in your mouth, that makes you gay. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that or that you can't like women too but that is a gay thing to do.
It's like saying you're a non-smoker even if you only occasionally have a cigarette. You may not buy a pack a day but if you still smoke, you're still a smoker.

You do know that one doesn't necessarily have to be gay to be open minded.

No criticism of you but you seem to see a world in purely 'black and white' with no grey areas whereas that is the sole domain in which the majority of humanity feels comortable. The need to label people as either 'gay' or 'lesbian' or 'whatever' seems unnecessary, merely an advertisement to like minded people (like KFC or a particular football team) to whom those who are not fans seem to feel some obligation to hate.
For example, assuming you are a 'straight' male, does it really offend you to say "No" to a gay guy in a club any more than it may offend you to say "no" to an 'ugly' girl? ('ugly' being a subjective opinion and presuming you don't chase them for this example)

i thought i was the foreigner since this website is based in Australia, sorry about that thought it was common knowledge. I don't even really know my self, i just remembered i liked it since this Australian friend of mine explained it to me.
