I'm left wing, and pretty much nobody in my school is right wing, a FEW people are SLINGHTLY but that's nothing. England's way too right wing at the moment, even this poll agrees completely. Intelligent people are left wing however somehow BOTH of the parties currently set for winning are both pretty right wing (re-enforcing peoples view that they're a bunch of chimps). Somebody should do something about this... but I'm too lazy. Anybody else have an opinion? :p

I think it's stretching it to say that right wingers are less intelligent. Even though I don't agree with many their viewpoints I've found many to be perfectly intelligent, rational individuals. I've even come across a few who have shown what I found to be quite inspiring insights, saying things I never would have thought of myself. You're really limiting yourself if you block your ears and insist that the left is always correct and can never make a mistake.

I'm a Market Anarchist so none of those choices really fit me, still its the perfect system for government's. When I can vote am definitely voting for the monster raving loony party (yes its a real party) http://www.omrlp.com/

Ofcourse I'm not saying that Left is right and right is wrong ;), however I would prefer it more if we had more of a diversity in out government so that people could actually choose. I just get frustrated sometimes when things are out of reach that really shouldn't be, and the fact that so far almost all of my friends are left wing doesn't help my view of the government in power currently >.> REVOLT I SAY... yeah, like that'll ever happen.

Why is anarchism placed with communism? I don't see how they relate.
Relate? Why take a look here, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarcho_communism] and here [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestor_Makhno].

Yep, Communism comes in all flavours.

There you are wrong, Harry Hay [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Hay], was gay, and he was a member of the Communist Party of USA, later went on to form Radical Faeries,

Below the belt. I'm guessing that you're right wing then? I wasn't taking a dig at right wing specifically, just that there are no options in government to choose from left wing (England), it's to be ruled brutally by one faction or another. PS: it would also be nice if you spelled 'you' properly before insulting somebody.

Yes you were specifically taking a dig at right wing people. You quite clearly refer to people on the right wing as being "a bunch of chimps".
And as for the typo, if you look at your keyboard you will see that the "i" key is next to the "u" key. The spelling error was caused by my fat fingers and I didn't notice it, My spelling is just fine, and I fail to see how I insulted you in my post (please enlighten me!).
It occurs to me that your just dodging my question because you got caught out and don't want to be made to look silly.

A person's political leaning is better expressed as a function of x and y, not just of x.

See here for an explanation.

When I take the quiz on that site I end up being slightly left and below center.
That thing doesn't work properly. Last time I used it, the results say that I'm slightly left wing libertarian. WHICH IS WRONG!

*sigh* For the sake of whatever miserable deity you worship, leave it alone. He was just posting an opinion like everyone else. It's supposed to be an opinion thread, not ground zero for flame wars.

Oh, and as to how he was insulted?

You could have meant something else, but the obvious notion stemming from that question is that you doubt his intelligence.

Also, he didn't personally have a dig at right wing folk.

From what I can tell, he's being very neutral on the subject, and simply speculating on how the rest of the world is reacting. You may have perfectly fine spelling, but you seem to take things out of context.

The bunch of chimps is the government in which the right hand doesn't know what the left one's doing (pardon the pun). I was not dodging the question only trying not to look like a kid who shouts "I'm better, I'm better" at everything however you've taken a hostile view of me and since you have no intention of resolving this peacefully I'll leave the discussion.

I am not flaming I am genuinely offended, and now your offending me by insulting my religious beliefs. My God is NOT miserable.

I simply wanted him to prove his 'superiority' to those reffered to as a bunch of chimps!

Also, he didn't personally have a dig at right wing folk.

When people wish to express something that may be offensive they tend to replace the words "I believe" with the words "people believe" or some variation thereof. I may be wrongly assuming that is the case here, but I don't think so.

I find it strange that "right-wing" is merely conservativism, whereas "left-wing" is socialism.

I said I was left-wing, which here in America means "liberal" but not "socialist". I'm definitely a social liberal, but I'm mixed on the economy. We need Keynesian economics and government investment to get us out of this mess and to prepare America for new economic challengers, but we also need to balance the budget before the national debt goes into the quadrillions.

I'm offended by a lot of things. Doesn't get me all in fisticuffs about it.

And how do you know your god isn't miserable? Please don't say you can hear him. It was just a verbal flourish, not an intended insult. I apologize if I offended you on that part.

I simply wanted him to prove his 'superiority' to those reffered to as a bunch of chimps!
He didn't say he was superior, he said he was most likely more intelligent, which I know is what you were trying to get him to prove. Now things might be different across the pond, but from what I've seen, his statement holds true. Most of the more intelligent thinkers side with the left or center, and a better part of the general public, specifically the rural and rich, side with the right (QED-Joe the Plumber).

Also, my IQ was 168 last time it was tested, and while I don't involve myself with politics, I do agree with the Left's view more than the Right's.

When people wish to express something that may be offensive they tend to replace the words "I believe" with the words "people believe" or some variation thereof. I may be wrongly assuming that is the case here, but I don't think so.
True, but I do think he seriously meant "the people" when he said "the people". Let's just agree to disagree on this one, yeah?
