I'm neither. I believe in a healthy mix of Libertarianism and Fascism, an ideology of my own that I haven't had the chance to write down yet. But I do believe in complete laissez-faire capitalism, science that is not bound by the petty idea of morality for the betterment of mankind, equality among all without favouritism for minorities, Social Darwinism, strong but small government, high police presence to protect the citizens but not limit them, and a liberal use of the death penalty.

So I guess I would be "conservative" if you wish. But that implies that I'm religious, anti-gay, and pro-life. Which I'm definitely not.
These beliefs sound like the same ones that Rapture (from Bioshock) was founded on.
wow, it really does. kinda scary.
well atleast rapture had a happy ending :)... wait...

Right now I am a social democrat, though I consider myself pragmatic so if there is some more efficient way of achiveing equality and freedom then I am willing to listen.

I imagine things will turn towards the communist utopia as envisioned by Karl Marx in the far future when our capabilities for production have increased and our supply of raw materials is not confined to this planet, but that's far beyond my lifespan.

I guess they do. I did find myself agreeing with a lot that Andrew Ryan was saying. I know it's based on Objectivism. I wouldn't call myself Objectivist as I haven't read any books by Ayn Rand, though. And my system of government wouldn't have plasmids ;) ... hopefully.

I'm a liberal. Practically through and through. But like most others in this thread I support a few Conservative viewpoints and methods, and I disapprove of some of the Liberal's stances. However if I had to I would side with the Democratic Party 9/10 times.

I identify myself as a conservative but I really just take whatever works. Some things that are conservative really do make sense while some things that are liberal make just as much sense. I can't say I really agree with either of the political parties that identify each other as such, though.

Independent. Either side isn't going to accomplish anything, and they need to be removed. But, since they've achieved so much power, you have to use them to keep going. There's no avoiding it.

I'm actually a Libertarian. I seek deregulation in both wall street and societal matters. Business have the right to fail and succeed at will without the governments help, and people have the right to do unto themselves whatever they want, so long as they aren't actively harming others.

Anarchist and bandit.
Seriously though I don't live in the US so it doesn't really apply to me.

Honestly, I kid, but I think I'm none of those things because I'm for all kinds of social liberties and personal freedoms, but feel that if someone steps on another's then that's a big time problem. I agree with the death penalty and heavier punishments for criminals assuming the U.S. 'correctional system' (har har har) doesn't shape up it's act (it's funny, because it really isn't a correctional system at all considering all they do is throw a bunch of criminals together for extended periods of time). I want bigger government that is less dependent upon the people's opinions because that makes the people running the show in it for the career and not to get shit done.

I sit on the fence pretty well and while I may lean towards one side or the other on any given day I refuse to associate myself with any political party

Communist. Anarchist Communist to be specific. The whole idea of government bugs me. Too much corruption.

This poll is far too limiting.

I am, officially, a centrist. A person with very liberal social views, but also a conservative outlook towards economics. Also, the problem is that when people use the terms "liberal" or "conservative" in America, they are implicitly referring to one or another political party, wheras I use such terms as how they are actually defined.

Translation? By American standards I fit neither label well at all. On an international level however? I'd probably be seen as a moderate liberal.

I find that the entire political system as it currently exists has become a fetid quagmire into which most of the world is slowly sinking controlled by opposing factions that both have their heads so far up their own asses that they can't get over their entrenched rivalry and actually set about dealing with, or even logically examining, any issue whatsoever. I believe that the current system is simply not organized to deal with the world as it currently exists and desperately needs to be replaced by people who will actually DO SOMETHING.

tl,dr: I think we're currently being run by a bunch of two-bit crooks, and I would like to replace them with really exceptionally excellent crooks (who, unfortunately, are by their very nature hard to find).

So... Other, I guess.
