I grunt at people, small children are afraid of me, I shout at activists on the street and I openly support the separation of church and state (yes, we are still medieval in those terms in Finland). So that would be a big no.
Finland doesn't have seperated church and state?
No. It's a sort of "church of state" thing. 84% of people are members of the church, but hundreds leave every day. Laws considering religion are really outdated. In schools, kids have compulsory religion lessons, in the (compulsory)army, recruits swear alleginace to the flag, fatherland and god.(if they are members of the church)
However, young finns are fed up with this, and Finland is actually one of the most atheistical countries in the world. Over 3/4 of young people say they want the church to leave regular people alone. It's just the laws that are from the 19th century. Older people can be very religious. The parliament won't dare to change the laws in fear of deeply christian old ladies with ginormous handbags.
