I like that idea, but it's fantasy. If this guy really wanted to kill me, he could. He had guns, but he knew I lived in a gun heavy area too. He would probably block off the exists and light my house on fire, at least that's what I would do.
Maybe I would get lucky and he would be too dumb to think of that.
Well, this isn't the old west, and blocking the exits to someone's house tends to make noise. Ya know? You're on the right track though, thinking of his moves first, is the way to stay alive. Of course, this whole conversation is fantastical, but I've always been of the mind that in a situation where my life is on the line, I'd rather not hinge my fate on waiting for the cops to get there, to make sure I'm safe. Having a plan for the interim is pretty important. Always have an out, and always have some kind of knife handy. Knives are utilitarian first and foremost, but also a small form of protection. Again, hypothetically speaking, since I know my house better than some would-be killer, I'd wait in a place that gives me an opening/element of surprise. Just because they have a gun, doesn't necessarily mean it's all over. It probably does, but...it's not 100% certain lol.
Derelix is suffering from Last Man On Earth syndrome like in World War Z, let him be.
Not sure what that is but I'm pretty sure your just mad that my personal experience doesn't fit with the "research" you did online.
I can find you a nice article on the interweb about how energy is all around us and how you can use it to cure any disease. Want to read?

EDIT: Just looked it up, pretty sure you called me a zombie and that's racism....I think.

Aren't you? After all I'm just a subroutine that exists within a computer network, there's no way that my understanding of the law could be informed by actual experience or study, let alone my understanding of humans in general.

Hell I went through five permutational evolutions just conceptualizing this post. You could be a duck-merkin for all I know.

hell, i doubt this even reached the president until the media started screaming about it. just because the FBI catches it and does something about it, doesn't mean they ever actually made the call upstairs.

"abusive and threatening language"

So what, our President's a sensitive little emo kid who smacks a guy with the banhammer just for talking bad to him?
Oh my god, is this site full of people that think the president runs the FBI and CIA?

(if you hate "nutty conspiracy" talk, read no further)

If that was the case, JFK would probably be alive still.
So, those people in suits decide to ban a college student from ever coming to the US, instead of finding the people who are actually dangerous?

My point is, whoever made this call is way too sensitive. Anyone who's truly a threat, won't waste time putting it into words.
except for pretty much every terrorist, since they always seem to have demands or goals.

Ok I get what your saying, except that's not what you said. You blamed obama for something the FBI did. It's not a sensitivity issue, it's a power issue. It means nothing to them, they probably do stuff worse than this all the time without us knowing about it.
Well as long as we both know what I mean, it's all good. People need to find better things to do at work.

There is obviously much missing to this story. So I will refrain from comment and watch everyone else reply.

So a nation that guarantees the freedom to say what we please restricts a man who speaks his mind? Hypocritical.

Love how Obama acts nice on camera but we can clearly see the man doesn't have a sense of humor. Had that been me I'd have been laughing my ass off, then I would invite the man to have dinner with my family in the White House.
love how you didn't read anything and you made wild assumptions. Very clever.
I beg your pardon, but I did read it. The man is from Britain, posted an insulting E-mail to Barack Obama after watching a 9-11 video, and was contacted by the Metropolitan police saying that he'd been banned from the US.

I'll admit 2/3 of the post was my opinion, but my first point is perfectly fine.

The man was clearly inebriated as no one would be stupid enough to threaten a world leader in a traceable E-mail. It sounds to me like a very honest and stupid mistake on his part, maybe a fine is necessary but saying that the man is prohibited from a certain corner of the Earth is a tad bit extreme.

Love how you judged my logic without considering it. Very clever.

"computer network?"
Not sure what all that fancy speak way but I'm pretty sure you just called me gay or insulted my mother. I demand that you create a physical form so we can fight to the death.
We shall battle, FOR THE MOUNTAIN!

I refuse, for all I know you could be Belarus's President, and I've always wanted to visit your fine country.

Doesn't it entirely depend on what was said in the letter? I think that's the big thing everyone here is missing. Given the amount of hate mail the President probably receives, I'd imagine it takes quite a bit to be red flagged by the FBI. Besides, what dumbass would write OBAMA about something that happened 7 years before his Presidency.
A drunk one. Anywho, I don't know how it works, but I wouldn't be surprised if enough keywords were automatically flagged in the email, and someone just decided to ban him for that.

Sigh, completely fair. Don't get drunk and then email the president. At all. For any reason.
You ignoramus.

Good god though he does really deserve a slap for being that dumb. If you're a foreigner and you're being educated in a foreign country.
KEEP YOUR FREAKIN MOUTH SHUT. God.

And this is someone who has studied abroad over here.
