Had he been American, it could have been a case of deportation and banning, but seeing as he is British, he very definitely -isn't- protected by the -American- constitutional rights.

Unfortunately, the Rights of the Citizens of other countries aren't blared out to (in my experience) nowhere near the same degree as the American one. This might be a bad case of the USA covering their ass against potential violence towards their elected leader, but it's a really dickish move.

(here's to hoping my editing of the quotes worked properly)

Well... If the US "free speech thing" should apply to everyone, they'd have to be American citizens. Maybe you are referring to the set of "human rights" established (but blatantly ignored by most member countries)?

Use a source of news and information that isn't controlled by liberals and I will believe it. When I win 500 million dollars in a lottery, then I will believe a liberal news source that reports on things that deal with Conservatives.
And your definition of non-liberal news outlet would be... a conservative one? I used four entirely different sources in that post and more than half of the links were to Goldline's website and to videos or audio tracks of Glenn Beck himself.

Listen, everybody has a right to their opinion. You do not have a right to your own facts. If you don't like what I say, then disprove me instead of doing what you just got done complaining about from everyone else, that they're "not addressing the issues." My evidence isn't invalid just because you "wish it wasn't so."

EDIT: sp86 is probably right. You're just a troll begging for attention. I'm going to go ahead and declare this line ended. It is pretty obvious you have no intention of holding a real discussion.

A relative of mine isn't allowed in America because he got caught with less than a gram of weed on him, in the 70s. In England. And he wasn't charged.
But yeah, it's bullshit.
My uncle's not allowed in Canada because he has a 25 y/o DUI on his record (In WI). Just saying.

No one gets banned for calling the President a prick.

I'm going to assume he actually threatened the President. Here in the US, that is a CRIME.

I don't think that it's at all fair, but I do find it hilarious that someone was basically permabanned from America for abusive language.
wow, now that you mention it like that, that's horrible

horrible horrible horrible

wow, the government can't punish people for saying anything, even to the president (heck ESPECIALLY to the president). You should be able to say whatever you want to the president without any fear of reprisal from the government.. might get a punch in the mouth from a "patriot", but the government should have no jurisdiction over speech.
I believe the applicable term here is "Double standard".
Also interesting:
One prez gets fired for having an affair, in his office. Another wipes his ass with his country's ideals and nothing happens.
Clinton never got fired.

I cant help but think of the one kid in class who gets told off in class and responds, "But everyone else was talking too!"

I'm not saying everything thinks Obama is a "pr*ck", and i have no reason to, but this guy's the only one who got caught.

Jeez, calm down, Obama. No need to start banning everyone...
Seriously, though, he shouldn't have been banned for calling him a prick. If Obama has a public email adress, he's gotta expect that not everyone will be emailing him just to say they think he's doing well. Plenty of people out there don't like him, he should accept that.
You don't think that maybe President Obama's in-box is inspected and cleared by some folks before he gets it?

Here's an idea, if you ever plan on visiting the US, maybe you shouldn't send emails insulting and threatening the leader of said country.
I don't think this was orchestrated by Obama, more likely some of his overprotective SS folks... but still, it's hilarious. What kind of an idiot decides to email the leader of another country to insult/threaten him regarding something that happened years before he got in to power, and is then surprised when the fellow countrymen get pissed?!

I may not necessarily like my own national leader, but certainly if someone emailed to threaten and insult her I'd be right behind the idea of "Well then, you can STAY AT HOME if you don't like it buddy." Why invite people over for scones and tea if they're just gonna be jerks about it and post a review online with "YOUR HOUSE: Scones were rock hard, tea was cold, and your company is the most boring I've ever been subjected to. MINUS THREE STARS." Just leave 'em at their home to complain to their own mother...

Also, this:

Well Obama pretty much slated the whole of Great Britain after that BP incident, so maybe he should be banned from the UK?
