I'm a console gamer, and even I think the core Battlefield games should be PC exclusive. Battlefield 2 would just not have worked on consoles at its time (and damn, they tried twice on the original Xbox and later the Xbox 360).

Computers are in their generation ahead of the current gen systems. Let them have their fun where its due. Bad Company 2 is a fine game and is a good representative of what a console Battlefield experience should be.

Its nice to see an opinion for it from someone else in my perspective.

Why is it "selloutish?" DICE is a company. It exists to make money. It is not a sellout if it tries to make more money.

And it just strikes me as selfish that you don't want the game to be ported to consoles. If it's a port from PC, then why does it matter to you?

You quite obviously know near to nothing on why PC is better.

afterall it is the same game, you may use the arguement that a mouse and keyboard is better which is a valid arguement (because it is much more accurate) but i like my console controller. you may also say that the PC crowd has much more mature audience which may be the case but i have alot of mature freinds on PS3 and not to mention that BF3 (if anything like BF2) will be a mature game and hopefully the immature audience will disipate after a short while

You speak of ignorance, yet you're the one over here talking about needing a 2000 pound PC to be a PC gamer. 500 bucks, tops, is all you need to outperform a console.

i was refering to PC fanboys NOT an average PC gamer, an average PC wouldnt care if it was on PC or console. im well aware that a £500 (or less) PC will suffice but what i was saying is that PC fanboys think that they are much better because they have spend thousands on a PC. im also well aware that PCs can out perform consoles but that is still no reason for PC fanboys to assume we are immature or inferior to them

most likely i think its easier for companies (especially DICE) to use code on the PC and transfer to console

think yourselves lucky, as a PS3 gamer we are garunteed a port for everything because its either made for 360 or PC and ported to us

They should do like they did with BF2 and release a BF3: Modern Combat for consoles and leave BF3 for PC. A PC can do everything a console can but not vice-versa.

It wasn't that bad. I had a lot of console-fun with it. It was no BF2 though.

Well aslong as it is made for and designed for PC and for the PC in mind first then ported to consoles and doesn't become shitty and watered down cutting everything decent about PC gaming from it not mentioning any names I don't care.

If I worked for those guys I would sell the game to McDonalds to put it in Happy Meals if it meant a few extra bucks for me.

Also, it seems like the last 6 pages are all assumptions, "Well surely it will suck." The game doesn't even exist yet...
