Nah it was because of the Dolphin diving from BF2.
Oh that's what it's called. I used to call it super-bunny-hopping.

Is that when people in a middle of a fire fight just drop down to the ground real fast and get as easy kill? I hate it when ppl do that.
They jump and press prone in mid air, so this kinda thing happens:

The line is the player.

Dropping down to the ground is kinda okay, I think. I mean people do actually do that. They don't bellyflop the floor, however, because that'd probably fracture ribs.
yeah a bunch of ppl do that in MW2 on ps3... it really annoys me. :( for two reasons:

1.Using it easily kills me.

2. I tried to do it and I suck at it. :(

As long as it's developed for PC and not ported to PC, I won't be pissed at DICE.

anyone who's played Saint's Row 2 or GTA4 on the PC knows what I mean.

GUYS!

The PC gamers here aren't fanboys (I hope), it's just a very obvious trend that games get 'consolified'. You only need to look at BF2 and BC2 to see. Everything is smaller, less detailed, the field of view is smaller, and all kinds of tiny, tiny things that add up to make the games different. It's hard to put my finger on exactly what it is, but you can tell when a game has been made for PC and when it's been made for consoles.

It just so happens that in this case they don't want it to be altered for the consoles. I think all anyone's really wanted for a long time is a bigger, better, more balanced remake of BF2. Not a smaller, faster paced BC2, or a smaller, consolified BattleField2: Modern Warfare.

OT: I wish the PCs fanboys would stop whining. Yeah games are coming to other platforms so more people can enjoy them, who cares? It's not like it affects them in anyway.
Except that Yes, it does. This has happened every time (At least that I can think of) a game has had to be designed for consoles for whatever reason, and it's been happening for a long time, so the PC players can spot it. Games that are designed for consoles are different because the consoles can't process as much at any one time. That means many, many things are limited. Graphics and Gameplay wise. It's hard to name any one particular thing, at least for me, but you can feel a difference when you play them.

The reason this doesn't go the other way is because, afaik, games that go the other way- from PC to consoles- are normally pretty good!
Precisely what im trying to say, Many a time a game has gone to shit ported from PC, like the original COD's were made for PC, although now it seems with MW2 for example, we cant have dedicated servers? That alone is a big fuckup alone for gaming online.

And how is that exactly a bad thing?
Well, unless they port it bad and just screw over the console version, thats the only way it could be bad.

bloody PC whiners. its being ported FROM pc TOO consoles. that means that the CONSOLE versions will probably be worse than the PC version.

stop whining about losing an exclusive and act like the Gaming elites you think you are.

OT: As long as it doesn't skimp on features that make it a worthy predecessor to BF2 or BF2142, I'm sure everyone will be happy.

Just because a game is on consoles as well, it doesn't mean the PC version will suffer.
Have you seen the PC version of bad company 2 vs the console? It couldn't even be played by a lot of people on launch or for the week after for that matter. It's also been poorly optimized and just seems to work better overall for console.

I don't see why this would bother anybody. Making it an exclusive might piss people off, but making it non-exclusive(?) surely means everybody is happy.

All ports do is encourage this stupid console war even more, the less "exclusives" the better.

meh. im fine with it. right now im an exclusive pc gamer. but looking through my collection i see alot of the games i dont have fun on the pc would be much funner on my 360 or a ps3. so im being more discretionary now about my games. only valve, blizzard, bioware, stardock, and relic games for me for a while on my pc.

PC gamers are the more skilled and hardcore, but consoles are so much cheaper and easier to just pick up and play. It's not hard to figure out why PC gaming is dying; most can't afford it or don't want to pay for a computer that can handle current gen games.

Oh great... I had a feeling this would bring out the PC elitists.
Sad really that some people just can't understand why people like playing on consoles.

You mean have too short of attention spans to even bother looking the way of PCs because they may require you to build it yourself if you want a cheap beast. Because really, to outperform a console, you can buy a PC like that for less than the console costs, not to mention all the stuff you can do on a PC as opposed to the inferior platform.

By the way, Korten12, a question for you. Why do you think such a thing as auto-aim exists if the control schemes are identical in their convenience/precision?
Not all games have auto-aim, such as MAG for the ps3, their is no auto-aim in that game so you have to aim as if you were playing a PC game, and really... you are acting like an elitist.

First rule as an Elitist: Thou shall always try to prove thou's superiority.

just stop with the elitism.

I think the days of PC Gaming is dying slowly, because think back 10 or more years back, and the games on PC were nowhere to be seen on consoles, so people built PC's purposely for playing them games. Now your Average Joe who may not know much about the difference in PC and Console gaming wants to be playing the new, best, latest games has the choice of spending around £600 on a gaming PC, or around £200 on a console... Average Joe would undoubtedly choose the console. Like I said, 10 or more years back, there wasnt that decision to make, if you wanted to play the new, best, latest games, you had to buy a PC.

Plus dual analog is fun as hell, can't deny that.

Also, I'd like to ask where one goes about buying parts for cheap. Seems unlikely to me that I could have a smooth-running computer for the $299 I can just spend on an Xbox. I'm honestly curious, 'cause my computer is getting old and I could definitely use an upgrade before I start downloading big-ass games like Fallout.

I guess my question is this: got any suggestions where to start hunting?
