I am gifted, I'm just naturally intelligent, though I am a lazy bastard, but then again I've never had to pay much attention in class, yes I pass with B's, I always have loads of free time when my friends are revising or doing coursework,(like right now I should be doing coursework but I'm going to wait till the last minute at the end of the week like usual). Its brilliant.

Marvelously, I have both. I can reason this answer, therefore I think, therefore I am. Intelligence!
No, no you can. Same as you can't tell the difference between butter and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Nobody can.

Therefore, you are a Jack Of All Trades.

Your dream have been shattered into the shards of a broken dream.

I would rather be Intelligent. I am gifted already and all it brought was procrastination and laziness.
This is basically me. Damn, I should be working on an essay now, but I procrastinate too much.

Intelligence. Through diligence you can become talented at something, but you cannot become intelligent.
But one could argue that "gifted" is simply a matter of having a much greater thirst and/or capacity to gain knowledge. I have been called "gifted" many times and my entire life has been an ongoing demonstration of my desire to learn things. I wouldn't know half the things I do if I did not seek knowledge as actively as I do, and I have myself to thank for that, not the educational system.

Intelligence is a variable to me. I think it's more related to how willing a person is to learn new things. An intelligent person is more inclined to do this by reading books for fun and looking things up all the time than someone who would rather watch television all day or go to the club.

You can easily get things in life right when you're very intelligent.
But you can't be smart (for example on the internet) when you're just gifted in doing something.

You know how you can measure your intelligence?

Make an IQ test in your best foreign language. Then add 50 points.
English is my best foreign language, but I still get as high IQs with it as with IQ tests that are in my native language.
Does that mean that I can just add 50 points, so I'm automatically 50 points smarter, just because I did it in another language?

I'll stick with intelligent. If I chose to be gifted instead I'd probably end up as Rainman knowing my luck.

I can't vote. Sorry. But I'm both gifted and intelligent. Ego aside, I was born this way.

To be honest I would rather be gifted than intelligent. You can (and probably will be) famous if you are very gifted and you don't need to be very intelligent for that.

I think most people are misinterpreting the question.

If you look at the first post the meaning of intelligence and gifted are in this very contextual. The words, and thus the options, don't mean what they do outside of this thread, which causes a lot of flawed answers.

"Gifted"? Call me a nerd all you want but all that makes me think of is the X-men and the school for gifted youths. I chose gifted because of that.

i'd rather be intelligent. gifts and talents can be easily overcome by determination and effort. intelligence... thats a bit harder to achieve.
