agreed. but lots of people don't seem to have played teh ancients. I guess it's an inevitable phase of gaming history - the new generations forget about the old - current games ARE the old for them...New Troll said:Western RPG = Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (PC)

I like how the thead is "Best RPG Ever!" yet the titles listed are all from the last couple of years. That would be like asking the who was the best president ever, but then only listing Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama. So sad.
I think it comes down to what your opinion of an RPG game is really.Pankeyman said:I know Zelda has RPG elements but I never knew it was considered an actual RPG, I thought it was a adventure/puzzle game.danosaurus said:WTF?!?!?
Where's Zelda?
*Sadly clicks 'other'*
I was going to do a post almost exactly like this but it pretty much sums me up. Also is the definition of an RPG drastically changed in the last few years? Bioshock as an RPG? Deus Ex? well to a very slight extent maybe. Zelda and Fable? They're more of an action-adventure, as vague as that genre is.norsef said:No Kotor 2?
No Kotor?
No Baldurs Gate 1&2?
No The world Ends with You?
No Anachranox?
No Zelda?
No Chrono Trigger?
No The Witcher?
No Grandia 2?
No Final Fantasy 5 or 6?
No Planescape Torment?
No Arcanum?
No Rogue likes?
No Ultima 7?
No Deus Ex?
No System Shock?
No Class!
And I'll have to agree with you. Very much so.crackdealer said:I'll have to write in Chrono Trigger.
Yeah even getting an emulator for it is annoying because you have to get an emulation then you have to download the translation which is the easy part and you may have to get the WinRAR thingy.Internet Kraken said:I still haven't beaten that.
