The fact that you included Twilight and not Van Helsing, Underworld, Daybreakers, or Blade makes me want to hunt you down and hurt you
I didn't include Van Helsing because Van Helsing is fucking terrible (in a hilarious, career killing, B-Movie kind of way).

Again, only 8 options. Having two options for the lulz was necessary.
pff van helsing was awesome..

Let the Right One In and Daybreakers. Can't believe you didnt put those up there! Both are fantastic movies alone but in terms of Vampire stuff they're the cream of the crop.
I have big problem with nostalgia, and both of those movies are too 'new' for me to call them 'the best'.

Also I'm going to have to go check out Daybreakers now. Some pretty hefty recommendations in this thread.
and you still put twilight? : p which is also pretty new..

I hated Daybreakers, I was bored and annoyed with it. I refuse to watch Twilight, I tried to read one of the books once and I had to stop because it took a full paragraph, roughly 3/4 of a page to say, that she was early for school and in the empty parking lot. Gah!

Rant over, I love Christopher Lee in the old Hammer Horror films, although I may be seduced by his amazing voice...

I didn't like Daybreakers that much.. Dusk till Dawn is great but my favourite on that list is Interview with the Vampire. I'm an Anne Rice, and I think her stories contain some of the most essential themes for it to be a true great vampire flick!

Twilight isn't great, but deserves to be on the list. I would assume it may very well be the most successful vampire franchise ever.

Modern storytelling at its worst.. If you want to read some quality slow-paced literature where it takes entire passages to move the plot not one inch check out any of Murakami's books, they're great!

The fact that Nosferatu (from 1922) is not on the list makes it obsolete. That is the best vampire movie ever.

So that's an "Other" vote from me.

It's sad how half of the people voted the option that didn't even nominate a movie.

OT: Gotta go with the classics, I voted Bela Legosi Dracula.

Nosferatu. Look it, the fuck, up. Black and white ORIGINAL story of the vampire. No glam no special effects, all fucking story. I know you're mostly young folk but seriously, at least add the original vampire movie in the list.
See also the cabinet of dr. caligari. tells a story of a somnobulous in perfect black and whit and silent.

Let the Right One In.

I can say no more. Just go watch it.
Same, not really a great list. As said what about Let the Right One In, Bram Stoker's Dracula (Francis Ford Coppola), 30 Days of Night, Thirst, Lost Boys?

Nosferatu!
