After seeing screenshots and a gameplay demo I can honestly say I'm psyched. This is the first FPS in a while that isn't trying to copy Halo or Call of Duty.

It's made by People Can Fly, the developers behind Painkiller, so It could be a return to form for the Old-school FPS.

What do YOU think? Savior of the FPS? or another generic piece of Grey-brown Slop?

I'd like to thank ColdStorage for providing the following info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletstorm
Players utilize a large arsenal consisting of over-the-top combat moves and incredibly large weapons. Bulletstorm also consists of a variety of unique "skillshots" which create extreme levels of frantic gameplay. The skillshot gameplay system rewards the player for creating and inciting mayhem in the most creative way possible. The more unique the skillshot, the more points players receive to upgrade their character, unlock weapons which allow the player to perform even more creative moves and exaggerated skillshots

I really like the look of it.
Come on, picking people up, holding them in front of you, then kicking them either off a cliff or into generators?!
I'm in.

I hope it saves the FPS genre from the countless remakes, ripoffs and retreads of the same ground.

I can't wait. The guns look crazy, the artstyle is rather awesome. Also, the idea of getting more points for booting a guy in the face, lashing him, then flaying the flesh from his bones appeals to me in a rather disturbing way...

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I loved Painkiller, so I was curious about this when I heard they were making a new FPS.

Then I saw the trailers, and knew it would be mine. The game does look like bloody good fun and I can't wait to get my teeth into it heh.

It looks promising, but it used the "kick enemy into spiky thing" a bit too often in a 1min trailer. Here's hoping the game is more varied than placing spiky plants everywhere

I have very high hopes for this game. There is a good possibility that it will take the reigns of competitively multiplayer fps from unreal tournament. I would like to see more weapon variety though. I realize that barely any footage is out for this game so I can cut it some slack; but, unreal tournament was a major innovator when it was released because of the insane weapons and alt fires. Bulletstorm needs to at least match that.

I also hope this. I'm fed up of only being able to choose between 8 weapons.

Painkiller had some imaginative weaponry, not a lot, but hugely satisfying stuff.

Unreal's problem is that most weapons were useless, nothing could touch the Flak Cannon for outright power and firing speed.

Anyway, its time to break out the awesome.

Hmm.. Picking up a guy with an electric whip, tagging him with a charge, then kicking him into his friends and gibbing them.

That alone made me jizz in my pants.

So yes it could help the this cover based FPS genre.

It looked like every other of the 100 FPS games shown at E3. YAWN!
Except it had an energy lasso (whoopee).

I'm not the guy to ask though. I can't stand FPS games so and IMO they are all the exact same game. I can never tell the difference as the main character is always a gun and the enemies/ environments always look the same. This really had no appeal to me.
What game did you like then? (just asking).

I doubt it's anything worth getting hyped up about.
It looks like Borderlands with the HL2 gravity gun (or just cause 2 if you think that lasso is unique) and graphics appropriate for a 2010 game.

Might be fun for a while, but it's not groundbreaking.
