Yea. I love swimming. I lived on a lake growing up and had a jet-ski. I would park the jet-ski far off of a sandbar and just swim back and forth. Now I pretty much live on the ocean so the fun continues.

For a bit when I was 7 I was afraid to go underwater. My cousin Chris helped me get over this fear (not by pushing me underwater) and after that I started taking summer classes at a gym where we would get together and swim (and do other sports).

I took swimming lessons when I was a kid, but I only learned how to do the crawl and the doggie paddle. Most of my swimming is done in pools or lakes and I usually have no endurance, so when I went swimming in the ocean during a vacation I was amazed how much easier it was to stay afloat (because for some odd reason I sink in freshwater).

I can swim. I had those horrible lessons where you're told to go up and down a pool by a middle-aged instructor who never actually does any herself.

I've never been particularly good at it, and I have a strong phobia of water that I can't see the bottom of. Looking down and knowing that there are millions of creatures below me that I just can't see is terrifying. I also believe I'm fairly agoraphobic, which is similar.

I learned to swim when is was 7 years old.

I don't know exactly how good I am now, but 3 years ago I could swim half a mile in one stretch.
On second thought, I can probably do a lot better now. I was very fat.

Love swimming.

Started at a very young age because my mother was a swimming instructor then.

My parents taught me when I was little, and I also had classes at my Leisure Centre. I think I'm a pretty decent swimmer.

I can swim, but it's been years since I last went swimming. I just don't seem to enjoy it anymore, but when I was a kid, I LOVED it.

Swimming is second nature to me, I consider swimming to be a basic ability all people should have and find the idea that there are people who can't swim completely crazy.

I've started swimming when I was 6 and continued till I was 10. I've competed before and I think I could swim out of a bad situation.
