Wait, I'm confused...didn't this thread get locked by a red guard? Maybe I'm just going insane.

I would just like to take this opportunity to point to the medal count.
USA:24
China:5

Guess they forgot to institute a breeding/training program for the winter sports.

Eh, I don't care much. I only watched the game because I was with some friends. It's only a game, and the players all get millions of dollars and fame. Personally, I don't care much for watching sports on TV.

CANADA

I've never been there, but surely it's better than USA.

Ice hockey is for rageaholics.

WTF?! The U.S. beat Canada in hockey?

I'm confused...

What are we happy or sad for again because I'm not following... Something doesn't make sense.

I'll admit it, I laughed. I thought this was the sport they were supposed to be good at playing. To think they lost to the United States... it just inspires laughter.

It sucks being an ice hockey fan and living in Australia. Always love watching Canada and the U.S. going for it. I would have loved to watch the game if it wasn't for the stupid timezone difference and having to work but anyways....

I find it strange (from the impression I have got from this forum coz I didn't even know the game was on :( ) that Brodeur had a bad game. Every game I have seen him play, he has been nothing but exceptional (I don't get to see many games but thats beside the point). I am a bit of a fan of Canada (purely because of Brodeur {I don't know why but my favourite players always seem to be goalies]), but as long as it was a good game to watch I couldn't really care less (it's all about the spectacle not the result).

Would love to see the Canada V Russia game (WHEN Canada beat Germany) but you can't have everything your own way.....

It was an exciting game. Always like to see my country win. I'd much rather see a game where they played hard and lost than where they phone it in and won. So, in this USA gets the best: Hard Work leading to victory.
Keep it up fellas!

Dont worry, Finlands going to win anyway
After how "we", Sweden, put you in your place? I think not.

OT: It was a great game. I never cared what the outcome would be, just glad it was such an entertaining match.

Edit: I am quite amused how all you yanks and Canadians are so convinced that it is going to come down to your own teams facing off in the finals, alternatively Russia. There is a reason Sweden is the reigning champions, you know. Don't count us out of it.

I gotta admit I was disappointed, but I can't say I'm too sad about America beating us. I mean, they have a good team, and we obviously had an off game.*cough*excuses*cough*.
Still, we could have done much worse.

Ooooh, I thought you meant a war between the two. We already did that one(well, it wasn't really Canada then) and it ended in a tie.
