if I beat the game without cheats then I use the heck out of them ^^ sometimes offline I use them before I beat the game or if I want to go on a murderous rampage on oblivion or fallout 3. online, I never have cheated ^^;

I only very occasionally use cheats offline, but never online. I also only use cheats after I have completed the game properly without cheats, so that they feel like more of a reward than a tool to help.

I voted "I sometimes cheat (Offline)", though not a lot, it's quite fun to see how ridiculously overpowered you can get in some games, the game that comes first to mind being strategy games, Disicples I and II, if anyone knows those, where it was practially impossible to invade an enemy player's keep, be it NPC or a human oppenent, unless you created several heroes with the best of the best creatures and items.

Another honorary mention would be cheats in the GTA series, having a tank or whatever and just plowing through the city can be quite hilarious.

I cheat sometimes. Most of the time in sandbox games because it makes the game more fun.

I think I don't need to explain why I hate online cheaters.

I really don't call what I do cheating. I consider it more of my ability to take advantage of certain situations that will ultimate lead to my victory. I don't break any rules, it is just unfortunate for my opponents. It's kind of hard to explain.

I only cheat in games I'm playing alone and offline, usually like Sims 2 where it's fun to have more money because it allows you to explore building bigger houses without having to make your sim work for 2 weeks to save up. I've used cheats in the Doom games, and Warcraft3, but that's about it.

I'd never cheat in an online game or against someone else.

The only time I've ever cheated (if you could even call this cheating) on an online game is wall jumping in World of Warcraft before they patched it, to get to unfinished areas like jumping outside of Zul Gurub to see the early beta version of Deadwind Pass and The Blasted Lands, or Mount Hyjal. I'd spend an hour just trying to get over one wall to a new area.

I cheat whenever I'm completely stuck or when I've rounded the game in every possible way (I reached level 50 in Oblivion, got a kind of "meh" feeling)

I rarely ever cheat, mainly because it just seems more fun if I actually play the game properly, and don't have a dirty feeling afterwards. The only exception is if I'm bored, and just want to have some fun in a lulz kind of way, like using the "Move Objects" cheat in The Sims to drop the postman into the swimming pool.

I cheat only offline and when the only reason not to is for frustration.

Example: You're trying to kill a boss with a stupidly large amount of HP. You've whittled down about 1/2 of it without taking a single hit/much damage, but it's taken ages since you have to dodge stuff. Screw it: Turn on god mode and just kill it, you know it would happen either way, you're just saving yourself the boredom of doing the exact same thing you've been doing.

Example 2: I'm playing Fallout 3. I have a bunch of items in my house that I want to sell in the shop across town. I'm not going to make several trips, I'm going to pick it all up, turn on godmode, and sell it all in one trip. Afterwards, I turn off godmode and continue playing normally. All I did was save myself the annoyance of making several trips and complete something that isn't a challenge, just a waste of time.

Cheats are also good when you feel like messing around and beating the hell out of everything. That's always fun.

I don't know how to exactly cheat online but I use a Gameshark for my PS2 and I use codes that are on the X-BOX 360.

Only on Starcraft. I'm not good at it and I admit it, but I still want to experience the story. "power overwhelming" *terrorizes terrains*

I never cheat, either offline or online. I don't get any joy when I win by breaking the rules, and the fact that I'm so very annoyed by cheaters when I encounter them ensures I don't stray from the course.

I only cheat offline after I have beaten the game. Destroy all humans! and the first mercenaries gave cheats for unlimited ammo and health which makes me play the game more because it makes me feel like god, destroying anyone and anything that gets near me.
