people are asshole enough as it is, why make MORE of the people we already have?
Delicious, delicious organs.

Mmmmmm...

Don't play God.

Please.

And I say this not only from a religious perspective, but who the hell is good enough to play god on earth anyway? And what the hell would you use them for anyway? You just bring someone in the world to live in this disgusting place and die a horrible death.
Very negative view you have of the world, keep it up!
But that aside as a flippant remark, playing god is a phrase bandied about too often these days. Clone a sheep? Playing god. Harvest organs? Playing god! Eating undeveloped babies? Playing god!
Seriously, not even god was good enough to play god.
i don't care if i get probation for this i have only one thing to say to you, FUCK YOU! Clones could turn on us at any time their actions unpredictable, and if you have a clone army what happens if they turn on us? That is a really genius idea

Well this idea is both god and bad. I think cloning(in a perfect society where there are no side effects or anything undesirable) is a good idea if you clone the right people. People that should be cloned(in my opinion anyway) are people who are likely t produce strong, healthy, or smart offspring. No idiots or douches being cloned.

I am.
No joke.
Give me absolute power, and I absolutely will not be corrupted.
Although I might become a little sadistic.

No it wouldn't you could take the best fighter clone him and get the best violin player, the genetics get screwed up when they clone people.

I dunno how fast cloning can be, but sexytime isn't so fast, I'm sure it takes longer to conceive than to press teh clone button.
Indeed, it takes about a minute to blow your load inside a girl and then 9 months for the kid to plop out. Miracle of childbirth and all that.

How long does cloning a human take again? Anyone?
Depends how much you've smoked.

I think clones are abominations. I have my reasons, but I will not expand (unless you pm me about it, but you won't be THAT interested, right?) lest I start a flame war. Plus, there's enough humans as it is, we don't need replicated people and we sure as hell don't need more than one of the same exact douche bag.

No cloning people. Cloning organs for transplantation, sure, but not people.
I agree a little more with this though.

it would be cool, but that just cant end well, maybe individual organs so we can litterally clone yours before it went bad so it could reduce chances of rejecting it

Only if there "man made" twins. As in made in a laboratory.

We clone people everyday on accident. They're called twins.

Why do people freak out about clones? They're not "copies" of people. A clone of you wouldn't have your personality, memories or fingerprints. It would look a bit like you, but twenty years younger (or whenever you had the clone made), but then again, so do your kids. This is not a real issue, and people who think otherwise don't understand the science.

My personal religious belief is that the human soul is separate from the body. That is to say, who you fundamentally are is not determined by your genetic composition. As such I have no real problems with cloning people, as the human derivative will be a unique individual, regardless of their genetic make-up.

However, I do think we ought to focus on solving overpopulation issues before worrying about human cloning. We've got plenty of problems with the normal form of reproduction, without playing around with new and interesting methods for creating more people.

As long as it's done responsibly it could be useful, but humans don't have a great track record on that. To answer more directly no, I don't think it's wrong

Why not? I mean, besides the religious opposition of "Playing God" do we really have a reason not to clone people?
Could be what starts the zombie apocalypse!

But I dont see the point in cloning yourself. I mean would it really be YOU controlling the clone after you die?

religious standpoint- Don't play f*cking god you p****s!

Non-religious standpoint- What use is it for? Oh goodie there are two of me now. SOOOOOOO? I can't control this guy. It's just a f*cking twin made out of my own f*cking skin!!! If human clones becomes legal and shit like that then I'm braking out the hot lead (+ shotguns)!!!!

Actually if we started cloning for armies, we might as well genetically engineer them to make super soldiers.
